Chinese powerhouses iG were unable to have their visa applications approved in order to compete at IEM Hannover.

The Chinese team iG had their visa application rejected and will not be able to travel to the World Championship. The replacement will be Team Alternate.
The German team placed 13th in the Intel Extreme Masters Season 2011/12 ranking, one rank short of qualifying for Hanover. Now the current German ESL Pro Series champion will have their chance against the best teams in the world from the 6-10th of March in Hanover.

Since the Nautilus Patch, nearly everyone has been turning a critical eye towards the rash of tournaments that have broken out. Everyone is wondering whether the tremendous changes in the Nautilus Patch, including the remake of Shen, and important changes to Sona, Soraka, and Warwick.

Shen was banned in nearly every game this past weekend, showing that teams were at least scared of the Eye of Twilight. Warwick experience a small bump in popularity, and Sona and Soraka were picked nearly the same amount.
