It is our pleasure to announce that Solomid will be hosting one of the qualifying events for IPL6. Up to 32 teams will battle it out over the course of three weekends to earn one of two spots we have available.

The first two weeks will be group stages in order to determine the top eight teams in attendance. Those eight teams will move on to the double-elimination final weekend and the chance to win a cut of our $6000 prize pool, a plethora of swag from our sponsors and most importantly, two of the coveted invitations to attend IPL6 on March 28-31 (flight and stay provided by IPL).

The event will run on three consecutive weekends in February: 9th-10th, 16th-17th and 23th-24th. The top two teams will both receive invites. It will be an open tournament, with each team's Ranked 5s rating deciding who gets their chance at the big-time.

There are a couple of restrictions. Firstly, all members of the team must be citizens of the United States of America or Canada and able to travel to Las Vegas for IPL6. Secondly, it would be very beneficial if your manager will be at least 21 years old before IPL6.

Get your team signed up before February 1st and we'll see you on Summoner's Rift.

You can find the signup page: here.
Event rules for qualifying teams: here.

There is no age limit as far as we're told.

Messiah shouldn't the administrators look up the team rating, and get a current rating at the end of Feb 1st. That way this validates the rating and doesn't take the rating at sign up and takes the actual rating as of Feb 1

The rating we will use is the final one you have on Feb 1st. The initial rating you enter is only to help us notice exceptional cases (ie semi-pro teams)

Any eligible team can sign up but top ranked 5's teams get the first shot and there are a limited number of spots in the qualifier.

1. TSM is hosting the tournament, meaning it's going to be on the NA server.
2. I'm assuming IGN is only willing to fly people from NA to Las Vegas since it'll be significantly more expensive to fly someone from out of the country.
3. Coordinating timezones is difficult when someone has like a 5-12 hour time difference.

Well, I was thinking because there are a few teams with members based in the Caribbean region, so not much a time difference, who also play on the NA server which is best suited for them. Wouldn't it be possible to just let them pay for their own flight to the nearest US. state, Florida, and let ign pay for the flight from there?

Pretty sure you play at home. If you make it through to IPL, then you go to the event location... Vegas or L.A. One of those Los plces. Its in the first post.
