Solomid is looking for a volunteer Video Editor

This is an Unpaid Position.

2/22 - Due to feedback in this thread and elsewhere, I would like to clarify that although this is an unpaid position to begin with, if you work well and get along with the rest of the staff, you will get paid.

As a video editor for Solomid, you would be putting together highlight videos, montages of stream events (Regi Rage montage etc), and tournament recap videos as well as being able to come up with and produce videos based on your own ideas.

A qualified applicant would be familiar with recording footage from replays, editing clips with programs like Sony Vegas, and then encoding and uploading to services like Youtube.

This is an excellent opportunity to polish your skills as well as working closely with Solomid staff and Team Solomid players to create exciting, funny, and interesting videos to be showcased on solomid.net and around the web.

If you are interested please send an e-mail to Pyronic@solomid.net with subject line: "Solomid Video Editor" and the following application:

How much work would it be, because some people are laughing because it's unpaid. So if it's like a few hours of work a week it's no problem, but if it's like a full time job you gotta realize you need to pay for it.

Editing 1 video can take at least 2-3 hours if you want it professionally made. That depends on the length of the video of course too. I mean I think the least they could do is give someone RP codes or something, doesn't have to be cash.

GL getting someone to do nice videos for free...don't see it happening too soon :) Maybe a trial + after part time paid position / cut from the revenue generated by views of the video ?! Just some ideas there...might know people who would consider working in those terms...

I feel I am in a curious situation and agree with the above posts.
I am a film student at Full Sail University, and during my time in class, I had outside projects, the smallest taking about 12 hours of editing, and was paid $150.
Another example being a much more laborious project which required on-location shooting, title sequence work, hours of footage to sift through, and was paid $500.

Unpaid editing is fine and all, however I feel that if you're looking for a solid product, it cannot be as such for very long.
Nevertheless, this is an opportunity to create for a very known, competitive, high ranked LoL Team. The editors work would be very wide spread.
Being discovered and recognized for such work could be payment in and of itself.

My thoughts. Still may submit a resume. =]

Even if it's unpaid I'd still do it, just for experience. Submitted my application. ;P

Messiah, the Graphic Design thread was deleted, is this because you've chosen someone or have you simply received too many applicants?

@Rosuto your signature said something about Hextech Kaitero? He(she?) helped me with my Mac champion pack! Best customer service ever. hi5.
