Introduction

This is the ap Nami build.
Why AP?
utillity and slow both now scale of ap! You will be able to make your allies faster, enemies slower and your heal more effective by buying ap while still being a support with an awesome AOE Ultimate, a damn awesome AOE cc with your q and even a pretty damn good single Target slow.

This is manly a guide to explain why ap and what ap items to get!

Runes

Marks: You need a lot of Armor with Nami, since she is squishy and doesn't deal a lot of damage overall. Since the patch you build a lot of ap so u will eventually deal damage, though i don't think it is worth it for the laning phase to give up the armor for damage u might deal later. What might be to consider is hybrid pen marks, since then your e does deal damage you can actually notice when you use it on yourself

Seals: You REALLY need Armor, other runes to consider would be the 0.25 Gold/ 10 sec, though if u calculate it, its about 540 gold in a 40 minute game, armor seals are about worth of a cloth armor, which costs 300, therefore its use starts around 23 minutes, and to consider that u really need to be able to win your lane with your adc and not earn additional 13,5 gold each minute, i think u should really go for the philosophers stone since u need mana and health regen anyways.

Glyphs: well since new season ap scales with utility, therefore the more ap the more movement speed with your passive, awesome in team fights for your team to reposition after your ulty if you hit a nice w that bounces off of most of your allies

Quints: Since the patch i don't find it really hard to earn enough gold as support, u get quite the amount of assists and if you work your support item correctly gold quints are unneccesary. Go for AP instead!

17 Utility
Offensive Tree now offers a sweet support point: Expose Weakness, go for ap the rest of the way ( i actually don't like it to put points in Executioner i do like to put them into Brute Force, but only if you run hybrid pen runes, if you don't go for executioner, its still good)
Utility: I guess these new Masteries are even nice in Utility, though i can imagine that they will be reworked soon since there are quite some things i don't think work well together

Summoner Sets

Exhaust & Flash
Exhaust for trades, chases and escapes, pretty simple therefore in my opinion the best summnor spell on Nami: It is Agressive and Defensive and a perfect addition to your skill set
Ignite & Flash
Ignite for extra damage, since there is no masteries for extra ap and ad when on cool down, i do not recommend this really... I tried it a lot, and i got flamed way to often for ks-ing resulting in toxicity in team. Also it is a purely agressive spell, and useless if you are in the defense

Item Builds

Starting Build(s)
Build 2
farm your gold buy autoattacking the enemy, it gives you 11 gold when upgraded (with your masteries) each 5 seconds on ONE champion, it has no cd if you just hit another one.
go with vision wards if you go agressive (if you keep your lane pushed, the vision ward can stand in the riverforever)
go for 1 stealth ward and pots if defensive and 2 stealthwards if you think its even and you are confident in yourself and your adc that you will stay a while in lane
Final Build(s)
Standard Final Items
Athene's is the best item since your Mana output is just sooo damn high, also 20% cd and magic resist, absolutely perfect for Nami.
Ionian Boots are awesome for the 15% cd wich would add up with your masteries and Athene's for exactly 40%.
Rabadons, i don't think i gotta tell you but if you haven't read it all, ap means movementspeed and slow for your e, don't underestimate it, u will fly away and they will have almost a nasus slow on them!
Zhonya's pretty awesome, but its the second last item if you have to build defense items and armor isn't one of them skip it and look at the defense items
Randuin's Omen, well this should be considered a Defense Item aswell, but u really do need at LEAST one, and i found this quite perfect for its active and passive, suits perfectly with Nami setup
Build Order
Sightstone right after Spellthief and you won't be needing to buy Stealth wards anymore, upgrad spellthief as soon as possible
Chalice is a necessity since your spells cost so much mana, upgrade it as soon as you can,
Ruby Sightstone only if you miss out on the money for Athene's and after these 2 go for the Greater Vision Totem which gives u a pink every 180 seconds (remember u can only place one!) with these items you won't need to buy any one use item anymore
after that, don't forget to consider sweeping lense, and buy a vision ward. you decide whats more important to get and what u can afford

Defensive Items

Spirit Visage
Best Item to consider if enemy AD is not particularly strong and You think Magic Resist is either equally important or more, specially for its awesome passive
Frozen Heart
It is awesome for its aura, synergies well with athenes (mana) and awesome armor
I kinda miss the health on this item, but does compensate in Teamfights with the aura if you stay alive
Guardian Angel
I love it, but i really would only buy it if you have at least one Health item since its passive restores 30% of your health... and with this as your only defense item you are a one hit wonder even for the support if he just times a spell right!!
Still pretty awesome item since it grants you armor and Magic resist, just don't forget that if you die, you die most certainly even with passive if none of your teammates save you

WEbb and Flow
ETidecaller's Blessing
RTidal Wave
If you land your q with lvl 1 on the adc, it can be the fb or just the out trade and following out zoning what then will win the lane
E is great for You to escape if your adc hits with it the enemy, or the other way around, i find myself saving me and my adc with it a ton of times, just remember if u use it on yourself for the passive, don't forget to auto hit after your passive.
I usually max my e first, since the slow becomes incredibly strong with ap!!! though its more usefull if you are going agressive and are even or ahead, if you are behind, or don't quite have the hang of when to use your e perfectly, level your w and e both

Skills

Surging Tides
One of the most underrated passives in the game. I rarely see people give enough credit to this passive or really understand how much work this does in a teamfight. It's applied on every one of your abilities meaning you can do cool tricks like using Q to help you get back to lane faster or using ult as you're engaging a fight to give movement speed to your entire team. This also has an ap ratio which scales really well.
Aqua Prison
Landing these is pretty much everything! If you're missing all your bubbles, you might as well play another champion. It's a hard ability to get used to because no matter how far the bubble travels, it always stays in the air for the same amount of time. This means the projectile travels considerably differently throwing it on top of yourself compared to throwing it the maximum distance.
It is one of the best ccs since you can throw it across lane through minions unlike most other ccs
Ebb and Flow
Heal+ Movementspeed buff of your passive, don't forget it bounces of enemyies to allies or the other way around -> so if you are with ally against enemy, cast it on yourself or ally for it to hit both of you and enemy, and not just one of you

Another things to keep track of is that at 200ap the decreasing amount of healing per bounce evens out and only goes up from there making your second heal do more than your first.
Tidecaller's Blessing
Slow with each autohit for up to 3 times for either you or an ally + Movementspeed for the one its casted on
Don't forget slow and Mvnspeed now scales off of Ap! The more the better;)
And most Importantly, if you cast it on your ad after he autoattack the enemy, it still will slow them as long as you cast it before his auto attack reaches its target!! Pretty awesome if you keep your eyes on it since at lvl 2 auto attacks plus your e damage deals quite a bit of damage
Tidal Wave
Pretty much one of the best and easiest Ultimates I know. You can compare it with Sona Ultimate, just not as instant, but much bigger
i think it is an ulty for a counter engage (they engage and you deny it and engage with your ult at the same time since: it gives each ally hit by it your passive and every enemy a knockup and slow)

Early Game

Pretty simple, cast e on adc as soon as you see him autoattacking enemy (or q-ing as ezreal) (it applies even on already flying projectiles) as soon as an enemy is slowed just q him:)
if your adc is not that into harassing, more into all in and waits for you to land a q... well then cast e on yourself slow enemy and q him. you have 3 slows with one cast, so u don't have to cast your q after your first e+atuoattack... aaand since you don't skill q untill the very end, your e cd is lower therefore don't cast a q if you slowed the enemy but know it won't be enough

Mid Game

hit your e on the ally closet in range for autoattacks of the target you want to kill (preferably some ranged champion who will actually use their autoattacks... and since most apcs forget in teamfights that they can do so, or should do so, adc is probably better suited
The heal is a little more complex here: if you are below 200 ap, heal the one in need with it, if you are above 200 ap it gets tricky! : your heal increases with each bpunce (so does your damage) therefore the one getting hit by the very last bounce of it gets the most of it (damage or heal)
either use e on a target to secure you hit your q or u just ultimate in teamfights and then q the primary targets, both pretty easy ways to land your q

Late Game

Pretty much the same like mid game, you will deal damage now, so your ultimate will deal damage on preferably all enemies, its not only a cc anymore it actually will hurt the enemy! If you are fullbuild i think you can change your ult from being somewhat a counterengage to a simple engage, it deals not too little damage on the carries, while ccing them for a long long time (the will run as soon as they see your ult incoming, then get knocked up and then being slowed... overall i think maybe it is the best lategame ult especially if you count the movementbuff on your allies in)

Conclusion

One of the best supports ever, now more than ever since utillity and slow both now scale of ap! You will be able to make your allies faster, enemies slower and your heal more effective by buying ap while still being a support with an awesome AOE Ultimate, a damn awesome AOE cc with your q and even a pretty damn good single Target slow.
I wouldn't be surprised if Nami will get more and more attention for this during this season

And i may not be the greatest player of all times, but i do know my way around a Nami and i don't see a lot of people being able to handle her at all, maybe this guide helps a little, since she really is strong now and you should know how to play her... or at least know how she works to maybe avoid feeding the team she is in;)
Anyhow reaching (this) full build with nami almost always ends with a win

Spell weaving and blade weaving don't increase your allies' damage, which makes them useless on a champion that Riot is designing as a low-damage utility support. If you drop those two masteries and the two in executioner, you can pick up the 3 points for intelligence.
