Introduction

Hey guys, how's it going? This is my first (and probably only) guide. Why am I doing this? Because I'm currently a Silver 5 player (Why make guides then noob!?) who varies between pretty much all lanes. I'm not the best in the game, but I would like to say I'm better than what my league and Win/Loss ratio would suggest.

I've decided to do this guide as I put together the masteries/runes and item set together myself, which I don't often do. But holy hell has it paid off. I'm only Silver5, and I have only lost my lane 3-5 times out of 32 games (although my win/loss record is 16/16 :/ all ranked, of course!), with absolutely insane KDA's, scores I never thought I'd see myself having (Last 5 games - 18/4/9 [win], 21/7/10 [win], 7/7/11 [loss], 19/6/8 [win], 17/6/5 [loss]). If I'm this strong with LeBlanc, I can't imagine what you guys would be like out there with the same tools! I've only had Leblanc for about 2 weeks (as of 2nd December 2013), and already I would consider her my favourite champion to play as. I feel so confident with her, my confidence in ability to win and dominate my lane with this champ is incredible in comparison to any other champ I love and enjoy playing with. I'm hoping she'll carry me up to Gold, if not Platinum during Season 4!

Main reason I'm doing this, is because I haven't seen many LeBlanc guides out there since Season 3 ended. So I thought I'd give it a bash!

Only thing to note, I don't have the greatest selection of runes, so no doubt my rune page won't be as optimal as it could be (not much mana-based runes, for example), I have an AD, AP, AP tank, and Full Tank rune pages (Just the 4 you ask? Yup!). But like I said, if I can dominate with these tools, I'm definitely sure most of you guys can too! (No doubt improve on them too).

On a side note, I've decided to go with 4 champions per role for the rest of the season, I advise anyone out there (Silver-Bronze primarily) to do the same, it'll no doubt improve your capabilities with such a small pool of champions to play. Set of a mastery page for each champ, item sets for each individual champion also, and I can pretty much guarantee your own performance will definitely improve!

Runes

So these runes as mentioned in the latter stages of the Intro, are my AP rune page runes, which I use for all AP Carry champions. So please no stick for having 'noob' runes! I have messy rune pages ok :P I would of course advise maybe getting some more Magic Pen runes (Mark, of course), and swapping out the Ability Power and Armor runes in exchange.

9 Utility
I have done individual mastery pages all myself for Season 4, and these are the ones I currently use for LeBlanc.

I've aimed to get as much damage as possible from the Offense tree, whilst opting for Utility over Defense by use of 21/0/9.

Of course, you could change and be slightly more durable in early stages by going down the Defense tree with the final 9, but I go with Utility. The way I see it, you should be putting your Q and W to use enough to avoid taking much damage anyway!

Summoner Sets

Teleport & Ignite
Tele-ganks are just beautiful with LeBlanc's kit. Teleport in, Q + W + R = game over! (Add a hint of Deathfire Grasp for utter annihilation).

Ignite - Good finisher.

Teleport:
I use teleport with LeBlanc mainly to get back into lane quicker in the early stages (pre-6). If you place Stealth Ward (trinket) in to one of the lane-bushes. Had a close fight with your opponent, but both are still living? No problem! Get that trinket in the bush, recall, go shopping, teleport back in and Q + W their ass, and that's a kill for you! (More effective with homeguards! They can't do much to counter.)
Level 6 and upwards - tele-ganking time! Use your eyes, opponents bot lane pushed too much? Make sure your bot lane has a ward in their top-right lane-bush and teleport in, 3v2 (providing everyone's in good health) and boooooooom!! Couple of cheeky kills/assists and that's job done.

Ignite:
I use ignite as a 'finish him!' move. Q + W + E not done quite enough damage? Ignite away and it's goodbye senorita.

Why not Flash?
W is like a flash anyway! Use your eyes, ensure you know where abouts their jungler is (and laners of course, no ss - op! :P), and you'll be safe with W. Especially Level 6, you have 2 of them! :)

Item Builds

Starting Build(s)
Default Starting Build
It's just what I go with. Amplifying Tome builds in to Fiendish Codex with an extra 385g (First-back item). So it's very useful! And with Teleport and W, you shouldn't be having much issues farming in-lane, and getting back into lane when you've recalled (or unfortunately, died).
Warding Totem can be placed conveniently in the lane-bushes for a cheeky teleport behind the enemy (Surprises them a hell of a lot, to be honest!). Very useful.
Final Build(s)
Standard Final Items
DFG for those OP bursts, and Zhonya's Hourglass for a bit of safety whilst waiting for W to come off of cooldown, nice retreat tactic! Abyssal Scepter reduces MR of all opponents in a radius, which helps with you bursting your opponents down to nothing within just a couple of seconds!
Build Order
This build optimises burst-damage. The aim is to destroy your target (preferably single-target for easy dispatch) within a couple of seconds (although sometimes not even a second has passed before they've crumbled to thin-air!).

Starting Items: Amplifying Tome, 1x Health Pot, Warding Totem

First back - Try to aim for Fiendish Codex, Boots of Speed, and if you have 250g spare, grab an Elixir of Brilliance (especially if you're teleporting back into lane looking to ambush, very useful in this situation).

From there, rush Deathfire Grasp followed ASAP by Sorcerer's Shoes. From this, rush Homeguards ASAP for quicker 'Peek-a-Boo' teleports.

From here, it's really up to you. I usually prefer going Zhonya's next, then swiftly followed either by Abyssal Scepter then Void Staff, or vice-versa. Rabadon's Deathcap usually comes in last as I feel it's much more effective to buy Void Staff before Rabadons, 35% MR is ignored, so again, much better for those bursts.

RMimic
As of now (sitting, munching, drinking whilst I put this together), I can't remember my EXACT skill order. Although the 1-6 levels are fully accurate.

What I basically do:

After Level 6, I would focus on maxing my Q and W as they're just SO strong together, such a powerful combo. DFG - Q - W - R - E would be my usual burst approach!
I alternate between Q and W until maxed (R has priority of course at level 11 and 16). I will usually go with W first.

Skills

Mirror Image
Stealths you and mirrors yourself, there's now 2 of you and the opponent has no idea which is the real you! Unless you damage them of course, then they know... This is because your clone doesn't deal damage (But you control the movement [using Alt+Click]).

Send your clone away from safety, and yourself TO safety. Your opponent, for the majority of the time, will believe you're bluffing and the one running to safety is the clone, and the one running away from the SAFEST direction is actually you. Win! (Or so I've found in my experiences..).
Sigil of Silence
Marks your opponents which is triggered by your next ability that hits them, silencing them as well. Q + W + W is a strong burst, followed by a quick getaway with the second W press. Most mid champs can't really react to this too well. You often (or should!) be taking little-to-no damage during this combo.
Distortion
This NEEDS to follow your Q instantly, in order to trigger the mark caused by Q and deal a good amount of damage. Activate again to return to initial position!
Ethereal Chains
Latches on to the first enemy hit (minions can block) and binds them after a couple of seconds. I use this item after the Q + W combo, not before.
Mimic
Mimics the most recent spell cast, with a bit of extra damage of course!

Q - Deals more damage and silences on trigger of the Mark.
W - A great escape or gap-closing mechanism. Not to mention a ton of AOE damage if W is used both times into a bunch of enemies! (Just try to get straight back out of there! :D).
E - Binds and deals more damage. If done correctly, you can use E then R to bind them twice in quick succession. You have to time it though, if you use both at the same time, the bind will only trigger once! I usually try to wait until half-way between the latch/bind delay before launching it again to trigger the double-bind! Great for allowing chasing team members to catch up.

Champion Matchups

Brand
Difficulty
Favors You
I'm not going to do a separate explanation of each champion. These are my choices on who you will beat, and who will beat you, based on my match history. I will give an idea on those who I think should be avoided too, due to their kit.

Favors You:

Ahri, Akali, Annie, Brand, Gragas, Karthus, Kassadin, Katarina, Lux, Malphite (AP Mid in 1 game, I beat his ass :D) Malzahar, Nidalee, Orianna, Syndra, Teemo, Twisted Fate, Ziggs, Zyra.
Cassiopeia
Difficulty
Favors You
List of champions I haven't played against as LeBlanc, who I believe would lose.

This part is for the champions who I don't believe I've gone up against (can't remember all of them!), whose kit seems like it would benefit you.

Anivia - Never played against her, I can't imagine her being much of a problem for you though if you put your Q + W to effective use. LeBlanc Win.

Cassiopeia - I see her like I see Orianna/Ahri. Good kit to hurt you a lot, but put your Q + W to enough effect to counteract their damage, and you should be fine. LeBlanc Win

Elise - I'm not too sure with this one, but if I had to say I'd probably give the match-up to Elise. She has effectively 7 abilities, with a stun/gap-closers which can be used to hurt you badly. Be careful enough though, if you're good with your jukes for example, then maybe you could take her. I'll go for LeBlanc win.

Evelynn - Not very durable (most the time), so with your combo potential she should be seen off. LeBlanc win.

Lissandra - Difficult to say, but I think LeBlanc should have the upper hand here. I don't know much of Lissandra, again I've not been in many games with her appearing. I think LeBlanc would win this match-up.

Ryze - Not had a game against a Ryze yet as LeBlanc, would be a mix between skill-level and champion selection I reckon. Ryze's W will be the big problem for you, but get those silence's off in time and you should be fine. LeBlanc win for me.

Xerath - One of my personal favorites, I love the guy. However, it would be tough to call this in the laning phase. Xerath's long-ranged potential could hinder LeBlanc if caught enough, but avoid his Q enough and damage him with your combo's to counter, then it'll make for an interesting match. I would have to say this favor's LeBlanc.
Diana
Difficulty
Favors Enemy
List of champions who I believe would have the advantage over LeBlanc.

Diana - Because she'd an AD-based champion with AP abilities (strong ones at that), I believe she should be avoided, she could hurt you! Diana win.

Fiddlesticks - I think this one would be well in favor of the little scarecrow. His Fear and Silence (Q and E) would not be your friend. Fear, followed by Silence and Drain would hurt you a lot with little in the form of countering it. I give this one quite heavily to fiddlesticks!

Fizz - What needs to be said? One of the strongest champions in the game, also with good burst-damage potential. However, get yourself a Quicksilver Sash, and his ultimate won't bother you too much. I would still give this lane to the wet fish though.

Galio - I played against Galio once, and although he's considered a strong counter-pick to LeBlanc, he didn't cause me too much trouble. Just make sure you're avoiding his abilities and you should be okay. Keep getting hit by them though and you'll be in trouble very quickly. Farm at your turret with this guy. I believe though if 2 evenly-matched players went head-to-head as LeBlanc and Galio, Galio would come out on top.

Heimerdinger - Now, since his remake, I've not had chance to play against him in-lane, as any mid-lane champ, so I can't say much on this. I've seen him about in the game, he seems fairly strong and his kit is much improved, so be cautious, maybe you'll beat him. However I reckon because of his turrets, he'd have the advantage. Heimerdinger win.

Mordekaiser - A very dangerous champion, no matter who he's against. He has such amazing farming potential that it just isn't fair! But with his kit, early-levels would be in your favor (3-6). However I do believe he would start controlling the lane if given enough time to farm and get his abilities off. Stay out of range of his E and you may come out on top. Overall, I'd say a Mordekaiser win.

Pantheon - Just like most AD champs, they dominate a lot of AP-Mid champions. He has stun, a heavy-damage Q, and a bursty E. Put all of that together in a blender and you'd no doubt get a recipe for slaughter! In favor of Pantheon.

Rumble - IF rumble were to go mid, IF that were to happen, I wouldn't be able to predict the outcome. I don't know enough about Rumble to make a decent decision, but due to his durability advantages over LeBlanc, I'd say a Rumble win.

Sion - AP Sion, as I'm sure you know, can be quite a pain in the ass. Although I've not played against him in ranked EVER, I still believe he'd be a big issue for LeBlanc. He has great durability because of the passive on his E, and has a stun as well as a shield from W to boot. I believe Sion would have this.

Swain - I've not played against him as LeBlanc, but this has the potential to be a feisty one. I reckon it could be a LeBlanc win if you're getting your combo's in (and getting yourself out in time). If this isn't the case, and he's catching you with his abilities, then it's in favor of the Master Tactician!

Vladimir - A strong AP champion with good durability because of his Q + W, as well as his passive (AP to Health and vice-versa). I believe this would be in favor of Vladimir.
Kassadin
Difficulty
Favors You
Small selection of champions who I believe the result would be reliant on player's skill-level rather than the champion selection.

Kassadin - Now, along with Ziggs, I've put this guy in the 'favors you' list as I have beaten him twice and haven't lost to him, but not sure if that's down to the champions, or player skill-level. I reckon this match-up would come solely down to the skill-levels of each player involved. It would be a close one majority of the time I reckon! Head-to-head, I'll give LeBlanc win due to higher burst-damage potential.

Morgana - Another close one in my opinion. Again, it's probably going to be more of a skill-level match rather than champion selection. If the enemy can time their spellshield to perfection, Morgana will be the winner in my opinion. However, manage to get your silences off on a regular basis (i.e. she sucks at shielding herself!) then the lane goes to LeBlanc. Evenly matched, I'll give the win to Morgana.

Tristana - AP Tristana has some insane burst damage. Beat her early and prevent her farming enough to enable you the advantage, then the lane goes to LeBlanc.

Ziggs - Just like Kassadin, Ziggs vs LeBlanc is probably going to come down to skill-level rather than champion selection. Ziggs can harass LeBlanc a lot with his Q as well as his mines. But of course, LeBlanc has that all-mighty combo of Q and W to rely on. Make sure you're avoiding Ziggs' abilities whilst pulling off yours to good effect, and the lane will be LeBlancs. I've won and lost once to Ziggs, Won quite easily, loss was close, but the other guy played well. In my experience, difficult to say outright who would win, but I'd give the win to LeBlanc.
Veigar
Difficulty
Favors Enemy
Favors Enemy:

Talon, Veigar (That ultimate!!!), Zed.

Early Game

Levels 1-3, play passively, focus on farming, use your W to avoid skill-shots if you need to. Level 4-5, start the harassment, put your combo's together and get some heavy damage dealt. Level 6 +, start finishing them off!

Mid Game

Level 6 you have the freedom to roam a lot more. Use your teleport effectively. Have a stroll to another lane for a cheeky gank, using teleport to get back in-lane if needed. Pick people off who're farming solo.

Late Game

Don't dive into groups, maybe 2-3 maximum if you're confident your W and R (distortion) can deal sufficient damage to cause them problems and to run, giving you your opening for the multi-kill. Keep trying to pick people off who're solo-farming, use your trinkets! Place wards in the lane-bushes half way up the enemy lanes and teleport behind them with your Homeguards. DFG + Q + R + W, or DFG + Q + W + R will devastate just about any opponent, no matter how much health they have.

Teamfights

DON'T be the first one in, be the last one if possible. Or the first ONLY if you're certain you can drop someone in an instant without getting caught yourself. Allow your tanks to go in before following up with your combo's. I myself try to aim Mimic to Distortion, as it has a great AOE damage output.

Conclusion

So much fun to play with this champion, so many tricks and so much burst-damage. Very easy to dominate the Silver-Bronze leagues with LeBlanc, not many people know how to play against her.

I know my runes and champion match-ups are a bit messy, but I'll try gain as much information into the champion match-ups as I can, and update this whenever required. The information isn't as great as it could be in all area's of the guide, but I hope this helps you get an idea of how to use her, so you can maybe eventually tweak a few things to make her even stronger than I have her at the moment.

Please show your appreciation (or dislike if you must :/) by up/down voting this guide. If it's welcomed by you guys, it'll give me the confidence to go and make other guides on my other favorites!

Thanks for reading, hope it helps.

Good luck, Have fun, and don't flame!
