Introduction

With the new vision changes in the preseason so far, 2 champions have gotten really stupidly OP:
<--This asshole with his shrooms
and
<--This goddess of a jungler
Jungle Evelynn is really overpowered right now. Evelynn has always been a powerful jungler but with the removal of Oracle's and Pink Wards now being visible, she's one of the best junglers in the game at this time.

*Note: This build was previously full AP damage. I have recently adapted to the tank AD build and that is what this build will now cover

Pros:
-Quick jungle clear.
-Vision changes make her ganks amazingly easy.
-Can snowball out of control.
-Can be a carry Jungler.
-W ability gets rid of slows.
-Can soak up a lot of damage in teamfights from the shield she gets from her ult.

Cons:
-Vulnerable to invades/counter jungling because she can get low from buff camps early on.
-Hard to come back from being behind.
-Hard CC will wreck her.
-No CC pre-6.
-Item reliant.

Runes

<-- Attack damage reds which helps with jungle clears. Your Hate Spikes (Q) also scale off bonus AD so this will make your spammable Q do more damage as well. You can also run 9x .

<-- Pretty much a standard on all junglers/champions nowadays. Helps you sustain in the jungle easier.

<--Ability Power is where Eve gets the majority of her damage so more AP=More damage=More kills=More fun :)

<-- Again, more AP=More damage=More kills=More fun :)

0 Utility
With this new AD tank build, going 21-9-0 really helps for early game clear time and increases your snowballing potential.

Offensive Tree:

<-- CDR is always useful on Eve. Makes your Q that much more spammable!

<-- Added 2% is always nice and since you build tank, the extra 1% damage taken is nothing.

<--Gives you the AP damage you need

<--Gives the early AD damage for jungle clears.

<-- The lower your enemy's health, the more damage you do. What more could you want?

<--Armor Pen and Magic pen which is always good.

<-- Even more damage!

Defensive Tree:

<-- Makes enemy champions do less damage to you.

<-- Makes jungle creeps do less damage.

<-- Gives you more hp for the jungle.

Summoner Sets

Flash & Smite
<-- Needed on every jungler no matter what.

<-- Great way to engage/disengage.

Other Summoners:

<-- Your W skill already gives you a speed boost and having Ghost would make you even faster for chasing/escaping. Of course, taking Ghost would get rid of the escapability that Flash gives.

Item Builds

Starting Build(s)
Starting

Standard Jungle start:

<-- More damage against jungle creeps. Heals 5hp every auto.

<-- Obvious use :P

<-- Only useful trinket on Eve. You don't need to worry about being seen by wards because stealth wards won't see you and you can take out Pinks on your own since they are completely visible so Sweeping Lens isn't needed. Blue trinket is trash so don't take that either.
Final Build(s)
Standard Final Items
This is the build that I use when I want to focus more on ganking and killing enemies more than anything.

<-- Gives AP, regen and cooldown which are all useful on Eve. One of it's passives also gives you great sustain in the jungle because it gives you 8% of the spell damage you do to jungle monsters back in HP and mana.

<-- Really good boots on Eve because it helps you do even more damage from the Magic Pen these boots provide.

<-- One of my favorite items on Eve because your abilities will apply a burning DoT effect and getting a Rylai's will double the damage they take.

<-- Really good for bursting down a single target. Use this item on a target before you use your ult for maximum damage :)

<-- Good source of MR and AP with a passive that lowers your enemy's MR which will help you deal more damage.

<-- Gives AP,HP and your spells will apply a slow your opponent. You could also get a

Other items will be down below in the "Situational Items" section.

Situational Items

Spirit of the Elder Lizard
I used to take this item on Eve is S3 because the true damage burn used to proc on auto attacks along with spell damage so it was really useful on Eve. Now it only procs on physical damage so you can still get it if you feel like you'll be able to land autos effectively.
Doran's Ring
Get 2 of these early game if you want to farm in the jungle more or if you fell behind early
Iceborn Gauntlet
Pretty much will add a perma-slow to your ganks. I'd only recommend if you haven't played Eve jungle before and want a little extra help on your ganks.
Twin Shadows
Another good item to get for the new Eve players. Use its active to get off an easy early gank. This item also gives AP, MR and MS so it gives useful stats as well.
Guinsoo's Rageblade
Helps with DPS and gives you both AD and AP which both help Eve's Q damage. If you want to be more "bursty" you don't need this item.
Morellonomicon
Get this item if you are fed and want to do even more damage!
Void Staff
Another item to get if you're fed. More magic pen=more damage=gg.
Zhonya's Hourglass
Gives armor and a ton of AP and a passive to turn you into gold!!
Lich Bane
If you can get some auto attacks in between casting Q, this item can really boost your damage.
Rabadon's Deathcap
More AP for more damage!
Wit's End
If you have a fed ADC and someone on the enemy team has a , get this item because the passive magic damage on your auto attacks is not affected by thornmails passive.
Guardian Angel
Gives good defensive stats and a second life.
Banshee's Veil
Good defensive stats if the enemy team has AP. I'd only get this on tanky Eve.
Randuin's Omen
If you have to build tanky and the enemy team has a fed ADC or AD in general.
Boots of Mobility
Get these boots if you want to roam more and gank everywhere. You'll lose damage output but you'll have a greater map presence .
Mercury's Treads
If the enemy team has CC and AP and you want to build some tenacity. I'd only recommend these if you fell behind and have to build a little tanky.
Ninja Tabi
Get these boots if you have to build tanky and their team has heavy AD.

Shadow Walk
QHate Spike
WDark Frenzy
ERavage
RAgony's Embrace
Maxing Q first because it is your main damage source.
It is up to you in you want to max W or E second. W is more for mobility while E is more damage oriented. I prefer to max E second.
Take a point in your ult at levels 6, 11, and 16.

Skills

Shadow Walk
Passive ability which makes you the pain in the ass that you are. When out of combat for 6 seconds, you become invisible can only be seen by enemies within 700 range or by truesight (pink wards, sweeping lens and towers).

Dealing damage, taking damage, or using abilities will take you out of stealth.

You regen 1% of your max mana every second while stealthed.
Hate Spike
Your main source of damage. A spammable ability that sends spikes to your target. Prioritizes enemies you have recently attacked and damages all targets in its path.
Dark Frenzy
Has a passive ability that gives you movement speed every time your spells hit enemy champions.

Active ability disables all slows on you, increases your movement speed, makes you ignore unit collision and the cooldown is reset on champion kills and assists.
Ravage
Single target spell that increases your attack speed after use for 3 seconds.
Agony's Embrace
An AoE ulti that damages those in the radius with magic damage equal to a percentage of their current health and slowing them for 2 seconds. Eve also gains a 6 second shield based off how many targets she hit with her ult.

Champion Matchups

Aatrox
Difficulty
Favors Enemy
Can easily kill you early game. Watch out for him.
Amumu
Difficulty
Favors You
Pretty easy early game. You are faster and do more damage early game. Just look out for his ulti late game.
Elise
Difficulty
Favors Enemy
Has the CC to mess you up.
Leesin
Difficulty
Favors Enemy
Really good duelist early game. Can easily mess you up early game and set you behind before you even know it.
Nocturne
Difficulty
Favors Enemy
Strong early game. Can easily kill you.

Late game is kind of 50/50 because if he builds tank, his damage won't be enough to kill you on his own but if he built carry style he can easily mess you up.
Shaco
Difficulty
Favors You
Counter jungle him as much as you can to keep him from farming and snowballing. If you do this, he'll be no threat to your team.
Shyvana
Difficulty
Favors Enemy
Another strong jungler that can mess you up early if you're not careful.

Early Game

Early game you are pretty squishy so I wouldn't advise to counter-gank or invade.

I still always start bot side buff out of habit from s3. After taking the first buff you'll get to level 2 so take a point in Ravange. Rush to the second buff to make sure you don't get counter jungled. Some junglers take small camp in-between buff camps to get to level 3 after the second buff. This could open a window to get your second buff taken while you are taking a small camp so rush to the second buff to make sure this doesn't happen. Take a small camp after your buff camps are done.

At level 3 look to gank a lane, preferably mid or top since you only need to worry about 1 champion. Ganking bot early might get you killed since you're squishy early game. If no lane is in a gankable position, keep farming your jungle until you get to level 4.

I think at level 4 you should really look for a gank and if you can, get the kill so you can start to snowball. Before you gank, I'd advise to ward the lane you are ganking in order to look out for a counter gank.

One your first back you should get , , some , along with a or 2 if you have enough. Get 2 if you are behind a little and you want to farm your jungle more.

Keep ganking and farming your jungle until you get some more items under your belt. If you've gotten a few kills and are feeling ballsy, you can try your luck with counter-jungling but be careful if the enemy jungler is a strong duelist.

Mid Game

By mid game you should have (or if you fell behind and have to build tanky), (or other boots that you prefer), along with any other item that is in the 6 item build or in the "Situational Items" section.

If you are ahead and have items like and , then ganks will be pretty easy.

Grab a if you want to add some DoT to your spells and the enemy team is starting to get hp items.

Just keep ganking and getting kills and putting your team ahead at this point in the game.

If you fell behind and have to be tanky hopefully you have , boots that correspond to what the enemy team has ( for AP and CC, for heavy AD), , and are starting on and/or . I wouldn't get unless your support or top lane refuse to get it.

Late Game

Late game you should have full build (whether carry or tank) and it's mainly a waiting game now.

If your team is winning, don't slack off and get full of yourself. Just end the game as soon as possible so the enemy has no time for a comeback. Ward their jungle so you always know where they are and when their buffs are up and keep taking objectives whether it be towers, dragon or baron.

If your team is losing, stick together and try not to get picked off or get stuck in a bad position. Try to win teamfights and hopefully you'll be able to turn the game around.

Teamfights

Never initiate in a teamfight if you build full damage. You'll get melted in a heartbeat. Always stick to the jungle and keep your invisibility up until your team initiates. Try to ult as many people as you can and then focus the enemy carries. You'll be able to take some hits if you ult enough people and you'll have the damage to melt the enemy carries. If you have a , use it on one of the carries before you ult to get them killed even quicker.

If you are tanky, you could initiate with your ult and hopefully your team follows up. Follow the same teamfight rules above if you are tank (except the DFG part because you shouldn't try to get a DFG if you had to build tanky)

Conclusion

This is my jungle Eve build. She is really strong in the jungle now with the new vision system. She has amazing ganks and can be a big pain in the ass to the enemy team...but not as bad as these :) GLHF

Pretty sure it was a typo when I say Rylai's gives you armor lol. I like Rylai's for pretty much the perma-slow it applies with Q that's why I get that item early for that slow. I put Zhonya's in the Situational Items because my games usually end before I have a chance to get it, to be honest lol. I've been thinking of the items I show in the "Item Build" section and I'm going to change them soon.

December 8, 2013 - 06:01 PM #2

At 1000 HP rylai adds 20 damage per sec from synergy with liandry while zhonya hourglass adds 20 damage per sec from its extra 40 ap. So you need to do more than 2000 damage to a single target for rylai to be worth more in damage compared to a zhonya. This is just comparing defensive ap item to defensive ap item. If we compare damage output to lichbane, that is a whole new world. Do you have certain techniques or play styles that led you to choose rylai over zhonya? I just notice in the description for rylai you wrote ap and armor. So I think you may have had a zhonya in your build before.

December 8, 2013 - 05:44 PM #3

@ Publiccake
Yes but because Eve's ult is an AoE, it would only add a 15% slow compared to the 35% it normally applies.

December 8, 2013 - 05:37 PM #4

Does rylai slow stack with the ult's slow?
