Introduction

This guide is about Yasuo in the Mid-lane.

Runes

I prefer these Runes because with the 4.6% crit of the runes + stattik shiv + IE you got 100% crit.
It synergyses perfectly fine with the following build.

0 Utility
I don't think I need to explain alot about these masteries.
I think CDR is just a better option in the offensive tre than attack speed since you will be able to use your abillities more often and you will be able to stack your Q and E a little faster.

Summoner Sets

Ignite & Flash
Ignite and flash are pretty common. Ignite will increase your kiling potential and flash is nessecary in case you need to escape quickly and you cannot use your E.

Item Builds

Starting Build(s)
Default Starting Build
Build 2
4
Either start with Doran's shield or boots and health potions.

Doran's will lower the damage of the auto attacks of your opponent and will give you some sustain.
Boots and 4 health potions is also a good choice to get some early sustain.
Final Build(s)
Standard Final Items
This Build provides enough tank items combined with tons of damage even without Trinity Force.

Last Whisper provide tons of Armor penetration this combined with your bonus armor penetration of the ultimate you will shred even tanks.
Infinity Edge and Stattik Shiv will get you to 100% critical strike with these runes and Hydra is a pretty good item for some lifesteal.
You need Mercurys or Ninja Tabbis. This depends if you're facing more AP, heavy CC or an AD heavy team comp.
Randuins + Spirit Visage provide nice ressistance and alot of health. The passives and the active of Randuins is pretty nice aswell.
Build Order
Early lifesteal and the gold blade will help you in lane to sustain and gain gold.
Buy stattik before IE because the magic damage is really good early - mid game.
When you completed IE it depends on the enemy team what you buy next.
When you get hit hard by AD get Randuins. When you get hit hard by AP get Spirit Visage.
Continue with Last Whisper then and finish your build afterwards.

Skills

Way of the Wanderer
The passive will help you to trade with your opponent unless he knows how to abuse your 100% flow to immediatly activate the shield.

It's pretty good though. The extra crit is awesome.
Steel Tempest
Will help you to harrass your opponent in lane. Hit a unit twice to get the knockup with additional range.
Really nice spell in combination with Stattik Shiv.
Wind Wall
The Windwall has a pretty huge CD. I wouldn't use it for every projectile flying at you.
Use it wise and you will be rewarded.
Sweeping Blade
Pretty good early game damage and nice escape at jungle minions. Really low CD. It's usefull to go in and out for trades or in teamfights if your opponents are a little bit splitted or are in a bad position.

Last Breath
The Ultimate is a good gap closer in comination of your full stacked Q. Got a really low CD aswell.
The only trade off that Ultimate has is that you can only use it of knocked up or knocked back spells.

The following abilities have Crowd Control effects classified as airborne and thus, interact with Last Breath:
Aatrox's Dark Flight
Alistar's Pulverize and Headbutt
Blitzcrank's Rocket Grab and Power Fist
Cho'Gath's Rupture
Diana's Moonfall
Darius's Apprehend
Draven's Stand Aside
Fizz's Chum the Waters
Gragas's Explosive Cask
Hecarim's Devastating Charge
Janna's Howling Gale and Monsoon
Jarvan IV's Demacian Standard + Dragon Strike
Jayce's Thundering Blow
Lee Sin's Dragon's Rage
Lulu's Wild Growth
Malphite's Unstoppable Force
Maokai's Arcane Smash
Nami's Aqua Prison and Tidal Wave
Nautilus's Dredge Line and Depth Charge
Orianna's Command: Shockwave
Poppy's Heroic Charge
Quinn's Vault
Rammus's Powerball
Riven's Broken Wings (Third cast only)
Sejuani's Arctic Assault
Singed's Fling
Shyvana's Dragon's Descent
Syndra's Scatter the Weak
Thresh's Flay (Active)
Tristana's Buster Shot
Vayne's Condemn
Vi's Vault Breaker and Assault and Battery

Yasuo's Steel Tempest (Third strike only) and Last Breath
Zac's Elastic Slingshot and Let's Bounce!
Ziggs's Satchel Charge
Zyra's Stranglethorns
The following abilities are not classified as airborne or are specifically excluded:
Baron Nashor's Sweeping Blow and Fluid Knockup
Vilemaw's Grab
Skarner's Impale
Thresh's Death Sentence

Early Game

He's really squishy early game so you should care alot. Avoid as much damage as possible but don't lose too much farm.
Once you hit level 6 you can scare your opponent with your Q stacks because he wil try to dodge that knock up as hard as possible.

Mid Game

You should have some items now and you should be able to scare squishy enemys.
Try to scare them to pretend to stack your Q for ultimate.

Late Game

So we hit lategame and you deal tons of damage now.
Try to splitpush the outer turrets. You are able to kill like everyone in a 1v1 so your opponents need to send atleast 2 of their team to you.
This wil help your team alot because they can do something else in this time.

Teamfights

So Yasuo is really hard to play at teamfights. But try to get into a teamfight when you got your Q already fully stacked.
Then try to use your Q and use your Ultimate on the enemy AD Carry/ AP Carry/ Assasin.
Yasuo's strenght is his split pushing. Try to avoid teamfights and tell that to your team. Keep going wih split pushing.
He can do teamfights only well when you got a knock-up comp which synergyses well with his Ultimate. Someone like a Malphite could be a really good engage followed by Yasuo ultimate.

Conclusion

Splitpush all day and win the game. He feels like a version of Master Yi with some CC.
