Introduction

Hello! And welcome to my Jungle Guide for Diana. Diana is a very strong duelist in game and fits the jungle role extremely well. Today I will be breaking down how to jungle and when to jungle with Diana and show you just how much fun the goddess of the moon can be.

Runes

Diana scales off of AP so the magic pen is nice, however you need some early game attack speed to help clear the jungle and proc your passive more. Armor and flat and/or scaling magic res runes are pretty standard for junglers for sustainability in your clear. Flat AP quints give Diana's spells more early game damage, thus helping improve her clear time and her passive proc.

I run Diana 21-9-0 becuase she needs to be in the front line doing major burst damage yet needs to have sustain.

Summoner Sets

Flash & Smite
Flash+Smite is your standard jungle combo. Flash is used to either gap close or escape and smite is used to kill large jungle creeps or minions.

Standard jungle start. I like starting red trinket instead of yellow so I can clear bushes of wards before ganking that lane.

Spectral Wraith is your jungle item. Built in sustain against creeps, HUGE gold bonuses that make it so much fun to clear the jungle. Sorc shoes give you more magic pen which allows you to do more damage. Nashor's Tooth is Diana's bread and butter. Her passive proc is a basic attack steroid that does additional magic damage every third basic attack. The quicker the attack's go, the more it procs. The more AP, the more damage each cleave does. Zhonya's and Abyssal are very important on Di because you have to dive the back lines of the fight, which means you need to be able to have survivability and be able to deal out damage. Rabadon's just gives you more damage.

Situational Items

Iceborn Gauntlet
good item for Diana because of the mana, the tank stats, the CDR, and the armor. You can probably replace Zhonya's with this but it will take out a chunk of AP from your build.

Pale Crusade is a shield that does damage, so it is your sustain in the jungle. Crescent Strike is your main source of damage so max it first. Moonfall is maxed last because it has very little scaling compared to Crescent Strike and Pale Crusade. Lunar Rush is Di's ulti. It causes you to dash towards the enemy target selected and causes damage. If the target is affected with Moonlight, a debuff caused by Crescent Strike, the cooldown time on her ulti drops to .01 sec. So it's immediately back up. This makes her very hard to get away from.

Skills

Moonsilver Blade
Moonsilver Blade is Di's passive. Every 3rd basic attack cleaves target and surrounding enemies for bonus magic damage. Magic damage scales w/ level and AP
Crescent Strike
Di's main damage attack. Fires a ball of moonlight in a crescent arc and affects enemies in target area with damage and afflicts them with moonlight debuff, which partners with Di's ulti.
Pale Cascade
A shield that has 3 balls that rotate around Diana. Whenever a ball hits an enemy creep, champ, or minion, the explode and do damage to the target. After all 3 balls have been detonated, the shield doubles on Diana, making this a very strong thing to have on during team fights / jungle clearing
Moonfall
Moonfall is Diana's peel. It pulls all enemy targets near you in towards you. This can cancel abilities like Shyvana's ulti, so keep that in mind. It has no damage but slows all targets hit by it.
Lunar Rush
Diana's Ulti. Causes Diana to launch towards enemy target and cause damage. If target is affected with Moonlight debuff, the cooldown drops to 0 and she can recast to either chase the ADC or cause more damage to the existing target.

Champion Matchups

Definitely one of the hardest matchups for Di. Diana is a farm heavy early game jungler, and most players know this. If they pick Lee Sin expect counter jungling and duels. If you play your cards right you will win the duels with him, he just is great at counter jungling.

Early Game

Farm. That is literally all I can tell you about early game. Until you hit level 6 unless you have a guaranteed kill by going into a lane just farm. Diana's ganks are useless until level 6 because she has no gap closer. If you farm right you should hit level 6 immediately after clearing your 2nd blue, around 7:20 into the game. That's when mid game Diana takes off.

Mid Game

Got your Spectral Wraiths? Good. Building towards the Nashor's Tooth? Excellent. Start ganking like crazy because, and make sure you understand this: Diana is one of the best 1v1 duelists in the game. It is hard to get away from her. You should be able to win fights and take objectives extremely easily.

Late Game

Late game your job is to dive the backlines and decimate the carries as quickly as you can. Let your tanks take the damage let your carries do the damage to everyone else but isolate the ADC or mid lane mage and you've done your job.

Teamfights

Isolate one of the carries and either remove them from the fight or kill them

Conclusion

I know Nashor's is better for farming, but I feel like Lich Bane would offer more burst in a fight (plus the MS and mana is nice). Also can you add a mage tank item build/masteries as well?
