Introduction

Hi, My name is Criixx http://www.youtube.com/user/iiCriixx and this is my support Blitzcrank guide. This is my 1st guide so it's not all that... I play blitzcrank all the time I have to support. My best and always will be support I ever played.

Pros and Cons of Support Blitzcrank

Pros


Extremely disruptive; this game has a large emphasis on positioning, and Blitzcrank destroys enemy positioning.
Has a lot of CC abilities
A great peeler
Doesn't need items to be effective'
High damage early game
Is slightly tankier than average supports (almost as much as tanky DPS champs)

Cons


High CD on abilities
Low, low MS
Low damage late game
Heavily skillshot focused
Has a hard time laning

Summoner Spells



Explanation:


is a summoner spell I always take. You can choose whether you wish to have it or not, but I highly advise you take it to remain on par with every single other player grabbing flash.


is the second summoner spell most supports take. By grabbing exhaust, you increase your fighting potential in bot lane because you can exhaust the enemy AD carry rendering them useless for a bit. On top of that, exhaust can be added to your chain of CC to make yourself that much stronger. Lastly, it leaves your AD carry free to grab heal or cleanse to better protect themselves.


is a summoner spell that synergizes with Blitzcrank pretty well. Allows for more Rocket Grabs. The problem is in solo queue no team will have the coordination to benefit greatly from Clairvoyance, so I suggest staying away from it unless you are duo with someone.


I always find that letting your AD carry run heal is ideal since more than likely they will be focused. You won't really be the most important target for the enemy. You could run this if you wanted to do a double heal lane or if you want to run something special with a duo. It tends to lose its power after mid game, and even in mid game, most other heals outshine the summoner spell. But still, not a bad choice in lane.


is a possibility if you want to negate their heals or really want to have a kill lane. Other than that, exhaust definitely outshines ignite.

Your Overdrive is a stronger version of ghost and on a ridiculously smaller cooldown.


Use it if you want but it's kinda useless IMO

Late Games /Team Fights

Always aim for the most fed unless the fed one is a tank. Don't go and pull like your crazy cause you might hit a tank.

Late Game/ Teamfights
As Blitzcrank you want to preferably be the one who starts every single teamfight in the game. Blitzcrank's role in teamfights is to destroy the positioning of the enemy team to give your team the upperhand in the teamfight. It is MUCH EASIER to land a hook outside of a teamfight than during one. This is simply because once a teamfight erupts, you have to take the position of a traditional support champion, that is, act as a guardian to your AD carry by peeling anyone off of him. This is why it is beneficial to start the fight with your hook, and then spend your time protecting your AD carry until your hook comes off of cooldown.

Tip:
Probably the thing that most people forget at this point is that Blitzcrank is still fragile. Even though the plan was to build him tanky, every single game doesn't turn out perfectly and many time your items are delayed. You will practically always be behind in items compared to most everyone else in the game (mostly because you are in the support role and have no reliable income). For that reason, it is wise to be cautious during late game/ teamfights because you will attract attention with your hooks, but won't be tanky enough to take all the punishment that will soon be coming your way.

Tip:
One thing people tend to forget as Blitzcrank is timing your CC's. You should not overlap your own CC because it could give the enemy time to flash/blink away. It is best to hook and immediately Power Fist. As the enemy is about to hit the ground, use your ultimate to add a .5 second silence to the CC chain. By this time, your team should be near enough to kill the enemy (unless you were horribly out of position yourself).

You want to max his Q before his E, besides that it is not bad.
