Champion Matchups

Runes/Summoners/Masteries

Runes for maxed damage and survivability during jungling and ganking while having mr in late game.

Smite obvious for jungling. Flash over ignite exhaust because it is so versatile for chasing, escaping and initiating fights.

Masteries for damage and survivability in jungle and throughout late game. Not have the mana regen makes kha'zix mana hungry which is why u get crystalline flask.

Skill Order

Get your ultimate at 6 11 and 16 and evolve first for aoe slow/nuke, then for leap refresh, then or

Max first for the massive single target damage if you want, you can max first for the ranged aoe slow/nuke and sustain in the early levels in the jungle. I like to max q first because when the target is isolated in ganks and when im counter jungling 2 q's does around 500 damage early game and the cooldown is pretty low. I feel it has much higher kill potential and greatly increases 's damage.

The damage on and make it not worth it to max you only need 1 point in leap but the cooldown refresh is key which is why you evolve it second.

For the third evolution for more dmg and for more mobility/survivability in team fights. I usually get because I like trolling around invis

Item Builds

Starting items: hunters-machetehealth-potion5
Faster clear good sustain

Core:crystalline-flaskwriggles-lantern UPGRADE BOOTS the-black-cleaver
vs cc or 3 ap mercurys-treads
vs low cc and heavy ad ninja-tabi
vs low cc and doing well ionian-boots-of-lucidity

Wriggles for faster jungle and dragon clear and some survivability
Black cleaver is good for every stat it gives on Kha'Zix OP ITEM
If you are doing well you can skip wriggles and go straight to the imba

Finish: the-bloodthirsterguardian-angel
Bloodthirster gives great ad for kha'zix's burst and if ur low u can quicky heal up in the jungle or a minion wave with a bc and full stack bt you can evolved W a full minion wave.
GA for survivability cuz you wanna be able to leap into their team and not fear death with ga they wont focus you as much. Its a standard item for a squishy dive hero.

6th item: mercurial-scimitar/frozen-heart/the-bloodthirster/the-black-cleaver/maw-of-malmortius/last-whisper/warmogs-armor
If you're winning get a dmg item.
If they have heavy cc/suppression get mercurial scimitar otherwise get a defensive item
Maw vs ap, frozenheart vs ad, or warmogs vs a balanced team.

Jungling/Counter-Jungling

On Blue team I always start wraiths/red buff and get smiteless leash from bot and go to the other teams red buff and smite it and try to kill them no matter what hero it is. If they know you're there though you better run. Try to get your allys to come before the other team realizes whats going on. If ur not experience enough to counter jungle you can start wolves/blue or go do wolves blue after red, but remember in the new jungle you need help from top/bot to get your buffs or you'll be really low and risk dying in the jungle.

On red team I start wolves/blue buff with smiteless leash from bot if possible. If the opposing jungler is a slow jungle that is easily invade (ie. ) then I will start red and invade their red.

It is easier to invade the red buff now that they changed the wall going into the river by the wraiths because you can't see someone coming into the for red brush from the wraith camp. To invade I usually just wait in the red brush where I can see the buff and wait for them to start taking the buff. If they are low I engage right away, if not I wait for the buff to be smiteable and I smite it and try to kill them. They usually flash, do not waste your flash unless you can assure first blood. You got their red and took away a lot of the jungle pressure. Watch out for getting ganked in the opposing jungle.
You can ward their starting camp at around 6 minutes if you want to try to counter jungle it at when it usually spawns around 7:10. This way you'll be safer with a level in leap.

Continue you're jungle and farm your camps. If you see an opportunity to gank take it.

Ganking

Gank any over extended lane always try to know where their wards and enemy jungler are. The best ways to not be seen while ganking are:
1) Through their jungle and tribush early game
2) Lane gank when their lane is pushed and you know they dont have wards
3) Through the top of midlane when their mid is over extended

You can always try to gank through the river if they are over extended or tower dive through the blue buff areas if your team is pushed. The river is usually warded so they have to be really over extended for this. and diving through the blue tribush is risky but very doable in 3v2 especially if you can get your mid to come for a 4v2 since dragon usally isn't warded until later in the game, so around lvl 7 this can net you some game changing double kills.

Khazix general gank combo is onto the enemy then get an auto attack to apply then spam and and right click them to death. Dont leap onto them if you are already behind them save it. If you can save for when they are isolated. You have to know if you can get 1 or 2 q's off in a gank and if you can get 2 isolated q's off for more damage. Sometimes you can't and its fine to just use it right away and try to get one off later when they run and are isolated.

Team fights

Before the fight you want to spam while watching your mana, but make sure you go unseen (back up a bit or go in brush) inbetween each shot to proc

During the team fight what is ideal is you leap over a wall onto their carries and burst then down when they are isolated and leap out or onto the rest of their team. Remember your refreshes causing more slow and bonus damage. You can use your ult and leap to jump onto the carries but at the start of the fight you want to to slow as many of their champions as possible.

Kha'Zix has insane damage but low survivability you gotta wait for your moment to leap and you dont want to get caught by cc. You dont want to be the one to initiate fights but you dont want to wait too long to get into them, kind of like katarina.

If you dont have the opportunity to get to carries just chunk down their front line with /, at level 11 you should have evolved so leap refreshes on kill or assist use it wisely. If you're gonna leap in have an escape plan.

Never target tanks.

Final Comments

Kha'Zix is a very fun ad caster assassin. Not very many people play him or know how to so he has an advantage in that people dont know how to play against him. I hope you can use this guide to have as much fun with as I do.
