Before, with the stronger E and passive, Twitch was the king of botlane trades. You would get
first back and hopefully be able to dominate lane with the spike in AD, get tons of kills, and be able to build
with impunity. And even in the case you lost lane, you could turn

path has become the best option both in terms of mid-game power spikes and late-game relevance.
An important point to understand in playing ADC's in 4.10 is the importance of item power spikes. As everyone's been saying, the reason the
nerfs screwed up the ADC meta so much is that whereas before you could rush
and immediately be powerful and relevant, the
build needs both Attack Speed and supplementary Crit % and Lifesteal to be relevant. On the other hand, Twitch and other ADC's can be relevant as soon as they finish
, giving them a huge midgame power spike over

, further shifting the Twitch's focus from early-game trades to late-game carrying.

After those 3 core items, it's really a tossup. The small Armor Pen from
means you can put off
until the last item, unless enemies are stacking abnormal amounts of armor. In most cases, getting
5th item will provide more damage.
In other scenarios, when you are getting dived by CC heavy tanks, for instance,
