Introduction

Hello and welcome to my Ashe guide. If you wanna know how to be the worst Ashe EU then you should read this guide.

Im playing Ashe for some time right now and since I started playing I believe that she is one of the best carries in solo queue but also in competitive play, mainly because of her ultimate which can turn things around and makes Ashe so hard to fight against if you don't have an answer for her damage. If youre playing Ashe you have huge teamfight potential as well because you can initiate with your ult AND deal damage. Most people dont understand this but thats the reason why Ashe is so OP. Well, now I hope you know why I play Ashe and why you should play Ashe too.

Pros/Cons

Pros:

-Its hard to chase an Ashe because of her slows

-Strong Ult

-Many possibilities with her ult: Engage, save, damage or harassing(Ofc not xD)

-Hawkshot = Free Clairvoyance learn how to use Hawkshot, it can save your life for example if youre pushing and you dont have wards just use E to scout and run if someone's coming

-OP passive, never help your jungler with blue buff unless he really needs it cause an Ashe with 100% crit chance for her first attack wins the first fights most of the time

-good lategame, ok-earlygame

-GJ Riot for her new design, I kinda like Ashe's classic skin so no Ashe skins for me :P

Cons:


-You can fail ALOT with her ultimate the best way to hit your ult is that you are as close as possible to your opponent and that you slow your enemy first before you shoot your arrow, when I play solo queue Ashe I ask my teammate to take a support with a stun (Taric,Leona etc.) so he hits the stun first and I can be 100% sure that my arrow hits the target

-no jump, meelees with jump and stun destroy her

-squishy like every ad carry

-teamfighting with her needs skill cause you have to decide when you go in and fight, when you stay back and wait for your offtanks to deal the damage, when you shoot your ult and when you kite

-shes a little weak in midgame

-relies on flash. Thats very important, having flash on cooldown is brutal and that's why you only use flash if you really have to, remember: Ashe without flash is a weak Ashe

-She is easy counterable by anti-carries that can close gaps and kill you, the only thing that can save you against those champions is to position yourself well in teamfights, dont face-check alone and keep your flash up if you can

Masteries

I take 21/9/0 Masteries although they updated the utility tree because you need health and armor more than mana or movement speed on Ashe.

I looked at other Ashe guides and I saw that many other players took 9 points into utility with the explanation that you can spam volley with the mana regen you get. What do you want, have mana for spamming volley against an enemy Graves who shits on you early with his q, or be prepared for him with bonus armor and hp?

21 offense is pretty obvious for an ad carry.


These are the one and only masteries for Ashe, otherwise your opponent destroys you in the laning phase.

Runes

I take flat ad marks and flat ad quintessences on every ad carry because its stronger than armor pen at the moment. Flat armor seals help you with laning and trading with the other ad carry and mr per lvl glyphs should help you out in mid- and lategame if the enemy-ap-carry gets too strong. This should be enough for mr, otherwise, if the enemy-ap-carry is too fed you can rush a Qss into Mercurial-Scimitar.

Summoner Spells



Explanation:

Flash for obvious reasons and Cleanse because almost every team has CC and you want to get out of it. If Cleanse is not necessary because the enemies dont have much CC you can take

Let's look at all summoner spells and if they work on Ashe:

Dont get it if your support already has it

This works pretty well on Ashe although I dont take it often
cause something like cleanse or barrier protects me from strong
earlygame ad's like Graves or Ezreal.

a worse barrier in S3 since barrier doesn't get countered by
Ignite and heal is just outdated in my view

Jungle Ashe? Seems legit.

AND OP ZOMBIE ASHE

gives you mana but it still sucks.

this is earlygame. Why would you take an earlygame summoner on a
lategame champion?

Support Ashe with Hawkshot and Clairvoyance? Better not oO

What?

Skills

Passive: Focus
While out of combat, Ashe's critical strike chance increases by 3/6/9/12/15/18% every 3 seconds, removed after next attack. Focus will now display a buff showing how much extra crit chance Ashe has.
Explanation:

This passive makes Ashe to a level 1 monster and if you have 100% crit chance plus volley, the enemy ad should be almost dead! Together with your support and some auto attacks it's an easy first blood if well played. You can invade with it, you can def your jungler with it and so on. It becomes a bit useless in lategame when you have crit items but it can be very strong and very annoying for the enemy ad if he walks into lane with one auto-hit bringing him down to half-hp. Try not to help your jungler with blue, let your support and mid do it, they'll understand if you explain it to them. You can help wolves if you want, your passive should be high enough when you come on your lane.



Q: Frost Shot

Toggle: Ashe's basic attacks slow her target's movement speed by 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35% for 2 seconds.

Cost 8mana per attack
Range 600

Explanation:

This is very cool because nearly no champ in the game can escape from an Ashe with Q on. You can kite(shoot, step backwards, shoot, step backwards...), chase or just put pressure on the enemies. If you got caught by an Ashe it's very hard to get away and if you got someone with your slow you can usually just finish him off with auto-attacks or your ultimate.



W: Volley
Ashe fires 7 arrows in a cone dealing attack damage + 40 / 50 / 60 / 70 / 80. Volley also applies Frost Shot.

Cooldown 20 / 16 / 12 / 8 / 4seconds
Cost 60mana
Range 600

Explanation:

The earlygame damage is insane and the ability is just fun and one of the reasons why Ashe is so much fun to play. It applies frost shot and has like no cooldown by the end of the game. Ashe with blue buff can be terrible. More CDR and mana regen, means you dont have to turn frost shot off and you can spam Volley. Basically, it is a good damaging ability with a slow and it has a long range. Everything said.



E: Hawkshot
Passive: Ashe gains 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 extra gold whenever she kills any unit.

Active: Ashe animates a Hawk to scout for her, revealing terrain as it flies toward target location.

Cooldown 20seconds
Range 6000


Explanation:

People underestimate this, it can save the day. It's like Clairvoyance with the difference that this has a lower range but gives you gold. I get this one time lvl 4 and max it later.



R: Enchanted Crystal Arrow
Fires a large arrow in a straight line. If it hits an enemy champion, it will stun that champion for up to 3.5 seconds, based on the distance the arrow traveled, and deal 250 / 425 / 600 (+100% of ability power) magic damage. Additionally, surrounding units take half the damage and are slowed for 3 seconds.

Cooldown 100/90/80 seconds
Cost 150 mana
Range 20000

Explanation:

Probably one of the best initiating ults in the game, and one of the hardest to hit. Enchanted Crystal Arrow is the main reason why I play Ashe. Like I said in Pros & Cons, try to be as close as possible to your target, don't throw arrow over the whole map unless you know it will 100% hit. If youre in range you can Volley first and then arrow so the target can't dodge it that easy. Or if you have for example a Janna Support, let her hit Tornado first and then you ult. Just try to make it as easy as possible because if you miss Enchanted Crystal Arrow, the main engage is gone and you sometimes cant fight because of that.



Skill Order

R whenever you can of course (6,11,16).

W is your main damage ability so max it second.

Q is better than E so max it third.

E does no damage, its enough if you get one point early. Although it gives you gold, it's not worth maxing this.

Early Game

Early Game as Ashe is pretty standard. Try to hit your first attack on the enemy ad and then just farm and farm. It's hard to keep up with other early game ad's, but once you hit 6 you can just hit ult and kill almost everyone together with your support or jungler. Tell your support not to engage before lvl 6 unless you think you can beat the enemy botlane. Ashe is not the worst early game ad but she hasn't much killing potential until she get's 6, that's why I like late game supports like Nunu or Janna with Ashe. You don't need kills to be efficient later on, most of the games can be won by just farming till 20/25 minutes.

Mid Game

Ashe's Mid Game is just farming, forcing dragons and back to lane. Only engage if you have your ult up. Most of the time the enemy ad will be stronger than you just because he has better mid game abilities that scale better. Her scaling in Mid game is horrible and your auto attacks will probably not be strong enough for trading with your oponnent. Try to get your damage items as fast as possible, it will pay off.

Late Game

By this time you should have The Bloodthirster or Infinity Edge plus Phantom Dancer. Now get your Guardian Angel ASAP for more protection. If you don't have a real engage it's your turn to initiate with Enchanted Crystal Arrow and deal the main damage. Although you should have huge damage right now, it's very hard to teamfight with Ashe cause she has no escape and she isn't very fast.

If you manage to play a good early- and mid game you should do fine in late game.

Team Fights

This is the hardest part in the game for every ad player especially as Ashe. Since youre the ad carry you are normally getting focused by the enemy team. If you want to win, you have to position yourself well so you don't die and still deal some damage. If you go in and focus their carries you will deal alot of damage but you will also die fast so it's not worth doing that. So your main goal in teamfights should be to deal as much damage as possible without dying.

First of all, try to hit a squishy and important target with your ult (best: AD/AP carry). Then you should stay back and let the big guys do their job. Try to hit whatever you can, if you can't reach the enemy carries DO NOT go for them, just attack whatever you can. If one of the important targets comes in your range, switch immediately or if the tank is low-hp finish him off quickly if you can. You probably hear alot of things like: "Focus the carries." As an ad-carry this is not your main goal. Go for whatever you can shoot but be able to switch your focus if one of the more important targets comes in range. By the end of the fight you should still be alive or be dead but at least killed 3 enemies.

Ashe is the best kiter in the game, use your potential with Frost Shot, Step backwards, Volley, Frost Shot and so on..

Counters

Good Against:

Meelees without a gap-closer: Udyr, Darius, Skarner, Volibear etc.

Vayne: You both are same, strong late game weak early but you win trades cause of your ult and your kiting. Harass her with your Volley and she should be no problem.

Corki: He wins you early but from 6 on he should be no prob as well.

Miss Fortune: MF is pretty strong cause of her power attack speed and her W passive. You can't trade with her but you can just farm and outdamage her later. Always save stun for her ult.

Bad Against:

Champions that charge at you: Irelia, Xin Zhao, Diana, Kha Ziz, Rengar ...

A fed Brolaf Holy ****: Presses R goes manmode and kills you witb 2 axes plus E.

Caitlyn: She can harass you for free with her imba range so play passive and stay back.

Kog Maw: Same. Highest ranged poke in the game and auto attacks with range are just too much for Ashe.

Ezreal: He destroys you early game by poking with his q all the time then jump in and kill you. Play def until late game and he is over.

Graves: He is THE early game machine so it's basically one of the hardest counters for Ashe. Know his burst from Q-R so you can go back if it gets to risky.

Sivir: A good Sivir is real frustrating to play against. She can spellshield your ult. BROKEN.

Your counter chapter is awefull, use pictures and include all the supports etc to. Also no 'bro'talk in guides. Like Holy **** Presses R goes manmode and kills you witb 2 axes plus E. thats just not good at all.
