Champion Matchups

Introduction

Lissandra is of the best champions when we talk of hard CC, with that you have a small advatage that can help you to play a little bit agressive from lvl 4 since u leave lane.
In my opinion, and I play Lissandra since Riot put her on PBE, Lissandra can control her lane and her enemy position with her spells.
What I will say in this guide is nothing more than my view, and a small help for you cuz, as you know, all guides are a small help for you to know a bit of champions and their skills and build, but it all may change when you are in game, the build can change, you form of play may change, so this is only for you to have an idea of Lissandra and to help you in game.

Never be affraid of your enemys even if they jump on you, one thing that you have to consider and to know is how much damage can you and him do on each other.

Lissandras Pros and cons:
Pros:
- Huge Hard CC (what helps you to get the enemys or run from them)
- Huge burst
- Small cooldown on Q (that puts your enemy/s slow
- Great passive
- 2 Zhonya's (with the item)
- Excellent gangs

Cons:
- Big cooldown on W/E (spend them wisly otherwise they catch you)
- Slow movement
- Will be nerfed ( :/ ) :D

Masteries

So Masteries:

My Masteries are 21/0/9. I want to give her AP as much as I can and with that give her a bit of movement speed, mana regeneration, cooldown on her active items (for zhonya's) and to prolonge her Blu buff.
For me nothing more important and this will be great for your early game and late game.

Runes

Runes:

Choosing Runes is many times difficult. Why? Because it depends of your lane enemy and/or team.
What I use more and what is more important is:
Marks: Magic Penetration -> Must be always for and AP Mid
Seals: Ability Power -> Good to improve her AP
Glypsh: Magic Resist -> Good so you can dive into them and take less AP DMG
Quintessences: Ability Power -> More AP to you more DMG you do, more agressive you can be.

Summoner Spells



Explanation:
Now it depend on you (again as as always)
+ Are perfect if you want to play agressive and kill your oponent fast, with all your spells you can kill you oponent very quick and with ignite is just bye bye. And flash to secure your ass back safe, or if you get gang to kill and go away with + or even if you dive in tower.

Other Alternatives:

Why not? With you Hard CC is just TP and lets kill him or them.


Not bad, I mean you are lissandra, you can tower dive easly, so why not take barrier and dive in and even take less dmg, survive and back to lane or base with more money. But always remember that it depend on your oponent.


You have Lissandra AKA HARD CC! With that some oponents may take champs with HArd CC that can kill you with their combos like , , etc, so why not cleanse? Charm? Fear? Stun? Clean it and then combo them.

What not to use:
- I mean if you need clarity is just because you are not playing well. I know Lissandra eats lots of mana, even with her passive, but if you play with pace and you choos the right moments to cast your spells (when you have passive active 4 exemp) you dont need clarity. And more, since you have your passive, you can spam free spell every 18s which is insane for your enemys.
Lots of people explain me that they bring this to be more agressive but its wrong. When you bring you became mana dependet because of having , why? You know you can re-have some mana back so instead of focusing on your cs and farm many players focus on killing the oponent, dont. Farm and when you see the change go! If you do that, you wont need loads of mana and remember, you will have blue buffs.

Really? For what? Spending , for this? Buy wards! Is better to spend 75 on then go in a fight and you dont kill for 90hp and you say arrgh I would kill him if I had or saying argh if I had I would kills you or even run away and stay alive. What to see them? Buy .

Heal is not a bad spell but for a champion the is the Queen of Hard CC why ? Just remember if you use your Ulti weel even in Team Fights you wont need to Heal your team members so bring others that can help you and your team way better.

For? You have Q, way better and does damage ;)

Wanna catch him? then; Wanna Run away from them? for one side and run to the other then if you need teleport yourself and if needed too and .

Nah, waist of important spells, This is good for you not for team.

Skills

Passive: Iceborn

Explanation:

What an amazing passive! Why? Every 18s you have a free skill so use it right away!
For a champion that spends some mana to use her skills.



Q: Ice Shard

Explanation:
This is a spell that is very usefull. Not only it has a small cooldown but it gives you the oportunity to slow your oponent, never forget this!
Also you don't need to reach you oponent with your you just need to hit a minions or champion that all the others behind get hit too, so, amazing! Every 18sif you manage to your enemy you no only do a good dmg but also dont spend mana and you put him slow. This is good to initiate gangs, just put him slow let your Jungler come and combo him/them!




W: Ring of Frost

Explanation:
This is why you don't need to be affraid of your enemys when they dive on you, and if they do just (root/stun him) and go away saftly with a after.
Also if you go ang gang your allies nothing better then stun them and say: you wont run.
This spell is very important for you when getting gang or when ganging or jumping into yout oponent so remember to have it available since it has a big cooldown if you spend it for cs its a chance for you get ganged.




E: Glacial Path

Explanation:
No one can get you and no one can run away from you and if:
They try to reach you jus ++teleport and = they tried, they lost HP and you still alive.
If they try to run just +teleport + ++. (It may seem simple but it isn't and if you are succesefull with this, is a 90% kill for you)




R: Frozen Tomb

Explanation:

UAU! This is a beautiful Ultimate. What a Ultimate. You can tower dive them, they can't tower dive you, you can catch them they can't catch you.
So what to know of this Ultimate?
Never forget you can do it on you and enemy. I've seen many people only doing on themslefs just to be sure they won't die, but wrong.
So lets see some examples:
If you want to kill your lane enemy what to do and what combos? When you have Ulti ready and even before you must poke your enemy whenever you can and your passive is available. with that and when you have your available if your enemy is good running away with low HP just start with , -> they can't run from it when casted also and you have to be fast you must+ and they can't run away from you and they didn't dmg you, with this apply and if they try to you do the same apply with slow and for more dmg and they are dead if you manage to get under turret just again. That's why I prefer to max after .
But if you are able to catch them without your you must (what I do): they are slow then just more dmg and you are facechack with them root them dmg again and slow them apply , if able or just go back and they are dead.

I mean, with Lissandra you must never forget that you can poke them every 18s without spending mana and that is the key to win the Lane with her because once you poke them and they are getting low HP you can combo and kill him. Also never forget to play agressive and with this I mean go control your lane, poke him whenever you can but don't dive just because you have ++ available because after you do all of them, if your oponent stay alive and with a nice HP they can combo you so play agressive with poke and if you want to go in just ++ and teleport back to your safe zone.

Skill Order

Just what you need to poke them. But dont forget that the range is low and that if he is behind your minions you only need to hit them minion. Kepp whenever is available.

Reach them with this. If you are having a teamfight nothing better to use it to reach their ADC or AP Mid and catch them.

Wht you need to be sure they wont escape from you or catch you. Dont forget the roo time too and that this is a AoE skill and will root every1 near and around you, so get in mid of them with this.

Be smart! If you are almost dead not bad using this on you! You will damage them and be free from dmg and if you already have , use it after your and maybe you get out alive even if low HP. Amzing isn't it?
Now imagine that if you play right you will be their focus but they cant hit you for long time.

Early Game

My way to play early game with Lissandra is only focusing on farmin my CS and poke my oponent when I have my passive available. Nothing better than going base with some money and able to buy some pretty items.
Once I come from base, for the 1st time, I'll think on playing more agressive why? I'll have more AP dmg.

Just give me what I need! Even 1 it's good because I'll have not only more AP but Hp too.
With this Il stay focus on my farm and if I see that my skills are taking a good HP I will start to control my area right away!
If I'm facing an AD (most assasin as and I'll come with and I'll play agressive and control my area.
What you need to knwo to start your items is how is your game going. If you are doing a good dmg, if they are on you, if you are controling your lane, if they gang you a lot, It all depends of the game so if every thing is good for you nothing better than 2 if not depending on your oponent you can or .

Never start with ! Why? You need sustain not power in early game otherwhise you get poke 2 and to survive you will start to use more mana and you will have to go back with low farm and loose lane fast and farm!

Mid Game

Lissandra gets an assassin from Mid game.
You can catch them and kills them fast.
Myt Core items for Mid game are almost always:

This depends. If in Mid game you start to gang more nothing better to have so you can dive and all spells then to prevent you to die, and with this you must try to put them to focus you. If you know that you will stay in lane more time and you are doing good then buy . More AP for you and more dmg for you what can make your oponents to spend money on MR then dmg.


Always important, gives you movement speed and Magic penetration.

So if you are having a good game or able to farm well you should buy the . It will give you the power to dive and do much more dmg to them and if they bought more MR than dmg, then you are good, this will take that MR. With this you can finish them faster and go back to your safe lane. But if you have less money nothing better than , with your poke they will loos more HP with the passive of this item.

Late Game

So when you reach late game you are the one who will engage fights or the 2nd, and engage when you can AoE most or all of them.
In late game you must never be affraid of them. They mus fear you not you them.
When to engage with lissandra?
You must only engage when you have all your team near you and near them too or you can dive and die fast cuz they take long to reach you.
Lissandra is the est to serve as bait or to be hidden.
Bait them use and let your team come fight and do the combos depending the fight situation.
Of hide your self then once they go in fight go in with your and combo! They ill be rooted, slowed and rooted again and you still have your and
.

Item Builds

Iems:

Gives you some good penetration


Some AP and MR but the best is that they loose MR what is excelent for your AoE skills and


You get HP, you get AP and they get burned with your skill, so imagine: This item will take 2% of their life each second for 3 seconds (2x3=6% of their life) with only one spell now put 6x4= 24% of their max healt. Now don't forget that you can impaire their movement what makes you deal double the damage and 3 of your skills does it. With this imagine how much you can take and in teamfights isn't to one or 2 you can deal to every1 or almost.

So go in, get focused and zhonya yourself, then if you didn't just do it on you. Dit they killed you?


More AP dmg and, more % of AP for you!


So you need more mana? Here you have and with more mana this gives you more AP and a shield if you need. Lissandra has , shield(s), and


Situational Items

If you need more HP buy this. It puts you a bit tanky gives you mana. Will help you in the game and good for gangs.


= slow than just autoatack = slow + and teleport + autoatack =slow just do the rest after. They can't reach you or catch, too much slow for them. Plus it gives you CDR wich is good for her too, armor (excelent) and mana)
Why not in my full build?
I prefer go in destroy and go back.

Final Comments

Lissandra is a Monster. Is propably the most feared champions because of her hard CC, she has 3 HARD CC skills and to help you to run away or reach them.
Never forget that you must be agressive but also to be smart and know when to do your skills because if you miss something they will jumpo on you.

This is my forst Guide and still I will keep changing this one depending of how people will start to play against her and how things will evolve.
