Champion Matchups

Introduction

Hi, do you know what cats like to do? They like to play with rats, rats are very stealthy and are able to ambush people by disguise. As an adc being able to go invisible is incredibly strong since you can always position your attack before the enemy. Twitch has a strong burst throughout the whole game with expunge and should be used to play aggressive when you have the chance. Since his ultimate allows you to hit more than one person he is incredibly strong late game.

I take 21-9-0 with twitch, 21 in offensive allows twitch to get those early kills and carry through late game. 9 in defensive for the health bonus and armor.

Runes

Red

Flat AD to last hit and also to help poke and trade with the enemy.

Yellow

Armor is the best in slot for ADC and you also need armor for botlane.

Blue

Either Flat mr or mr per level depending on support. Ap support = flat mr

Quints

Lifesteal for sustain in lane and flat ad again to last hit and poke.

Summoner Spells



Flash is important for twitch because Twitch doesn't have an escape. With flash, Twitch will be able to get away from the damage allowing you to go invisible.



If the enemy team has bursty champs it is a good idea to take barrier. Barrier is also good for fighting in lane, or escaping from enemies.



Enemy team have heavy cc comp take cleanse.



Ignite goes very well with twitch's passive, take ignite if you want to play aggressive.

Skills

Passive: Deadly Venom

Explanation:

Twitch's passive stacks and does true damage to your enemies. Very helpful for poking enemies and is used with expunge to deal burst damage.


Q: Ambush

Explanation:

Allows Twitch to position and gain attack speed after breaking invisibility. You can use this ability to scout for enemies and escape from harm although it takes 3 seconds to go invis.


W: Venom Cask

Explanation:

This is an aoe skill applying 2 stacks of poison to the enemy. You should use this skill when you go invisible to surprise them and add 2 stacks for expunge.


E: Expunge

Explanation:

Twitch's most deadly skill which can also be used on multiple enemies. Expunge should be used when you have 6 stacks on your enemy and see the x above their head. Also a good skill for clearing waves and harassing.


R: Spray and Pray

Explanation:

Twitch's ultimate increases his damage and range and also allows him to pierce through multiple enemies. With the combination of your expunge, this makes twitch very strong in team fights especially since he can position himself before the fight begins. One drawback with his ultimate is that you can miss the ability because it doesn't lock onto the target.

Skill Order



Expunge should be taken first to be able to do early golems or just to harass the enemy at level 1.



Ambush next for the increase duration of stealth and the attack speed bonus.



Only need one point for the full effectiveness of skill.



Increase in range and damage, very important skill for team fights. Always add when you have the chance.

Combo


Item Builds

Standard and best item to start off with because it provides bonus health and 5 hp per hit.

Gives you 100 attack when you get fullstacks which is good because your expunge is scaled off of ad and if you go botrk it won't be as strong

If you don't snowball Infinity Edge gives you more damage late game and you can crit multiple people with your ultimate.

Gives you attack speed and crit % + IE you will crit big damage while hitting multiple people.

since pierce reduces the damage per person last whisper is good for shredding the armor and helping you keep the sustained damage on the tanks.

is good for late game because everyone will start to build hp and you can use the active to slow and kite tanks that run at you.

Early Game

Early game is about farming and harassing. You should poke the enemy whenever you have the chance while also getting all the cs. Poke with Venom Cask and Expunge. When the enemy is low, you should stealth in and try to kill them with your combo. You should take advantage of twitch's burst to get early kills if you are facing a low hp based adc.

Mid Game

Mid game is when twitch starts to get strong in team fights. If you start a team fight in dragon position and just start spraying and praying. If all goes well Expunge to clean up, Venom Cask to slow them. If you start to lose run away with stealth. Your mid game is focusing on taking objectives such as towers, dragon .

Late Game

Twitch just becomes stronger and stronger the longer the game goes. If you can fight them while they are in a straight line it's basically a win because of how strong his ultimate is. But since he has no escape you have to be very careful late game. Once they start to buy oracles your invisibility can't help you escape as easily. By late game you should not roam by yourself and group with the team for fights.

Final Comments

The reason why twitch isn't played much is because he has a lots of weaknesses such as a low base health with no escape, it makes him a hard champ to play. You need the right comp to pick into twitch, like if the enemy team has low cc or they aren't tanky. This puts twitch in a very good choice because with his ult he can really pick off squishies.

in my opinion, the best sup for twitch is thresh. why? he offers twitch an escape (something he sorely lacks, as his Q takes a few seconds to stealth). Nami isn't terrible, but I feel she's far better for adc's like vayne / ez who are far more mobile.

In my opinion a strong support for twitch has to be leona or janna. Janna for the shield to help with twitches burst, or leona for tankyness because of how squishy twitch is.

sanguifer, I think you're reading him wrong. at 6 stacks of venom, his expunge does 290 dmg (+120% AD) + (150% bonus AD) so his AD ratios are pretty massive. I'd imagine they're the highest amongst ADC's in the game. http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Twitch for reference

What do You think about going 9/21 or 9/13/8, or 17/13, taking the reduced damage from champs masteries and starting doran's shield? Sustain is similar, twitch doesn't have a lot of AD ratios to profit from the extra AD, more health + 1 pot, and the 13 dmg less from autoattacks allows poison + expunge to win You every extended trade. Naturally, not vs champs who like to spam skills instead of AAs.



I tried it a few times and seems pretty good.

AttonBlowUp, since you you have cleanse then Summoner's Resolve is unnecessary since it doesn't provide that much. Also it jut provides 20 extra shield sustain. And in early game they usually don't make that much damage on you for the full barrier to go down under 2 seconds. So it's all about what you feel like.

why u dont take summoner´s resolve? i mean u say go 21/9/0 and take flash / barrier with u but if u go 21/9/0 and u take barrier but u dont take summoner´s resolve u do something wrong tho.
