After using one of his abilities, Lucian's next auto attack within 6 seconds will strike twice. The second shot deals 50-75% of Lucian's AD based on level, but fully applies on-hit effects. Minions and monsters take full damage from the second shot. The second shot can critically strike.
This is a very strong passive to have on an ADC and makes early game trading very strong, in lane you want to be using this passive after an ability to increase your trading potential, a
followed by this passive allows Lucian to win most trades. It can also be used to quickly take down game objectives for example by spamming your ability's while shooting at a tower.
To make full use of this passive you should be using it inbetween abilities as you will get the second auto off each time. It is also very good late game, the fact that the second AA can crit at 75% lategame is incredibly strong for a passive.
Q: Piercing Light
Active: After a 0.4 second delay, Lucian fires a laser in the direction of the target enemy, dealing physical damage to all enemies in a 1100-unit line. Minions take 75% damage.
Cooldown: 9 / 8 / 7 / 6 / 5
Cost: 60 / 65 / 70 / 75 / 80 mana
Physical Damage: 80 / 120 / 160 / 200 / 240 (+ 60 / 75 / 90 / 105 / 120% bonus AD)
Max this first, it has good scaling and is your main ability in lane, mastering this will take a while at first. Make sure you never use this ability on an enemy that isnt running at a tangent to you, the laser will just end up hitting where they just were and you cannot lead this ability in front of them as it's not a skill shot, instead use your Q on a creep in front of them so that they run into it. Get to know when you can hit
and when you cant.
W: Ardent Blaze
Active: Lucian fires a shot that explodes upon hitting an enemy or reaching the end of its path, damaging enemies in a cross pattern and marking enemies hit for 6 seconds.
If Lucian damages a marked target with his basic attacks or abilities, he gains 40 movement speed for 2 seconds. This does not consume the mark.
Cooldown: 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 / 10
Cost: 60 mana
Magic Damage: 60 / 100 / 140 / 180 / 220 (+90% AP) (+ 60% bonus AD)
This ability is mainly used to chase and escape but does a considerable amount of aoe damage mid/ lategame plus giving you a consistent 40 movement speed to make it much easier to land your ult. It can also be used to check brush as it gives vision where the shot lands.
E: Relentless Pursuit
Active: Lucian dashes a short distance and removes all slowing effects. Relentless Pursuit's cooldown resets if Lucian scores a kill or assist during The Culling.
Cooldown: 18 / 16 / 14 / 12 / 10
Cost: 60 / 45 / 30 / 15 / 0 mana
This ability gives you good mobility and it has a nice bonus that removes all slows and all secondary slow effects from you making it great against a team with heavy slows. You can also use it to jump over small walls. Although a huge issue with this ability is that its cooldown is so long, don't waste it to get to places faster just in case you need it in a pinch to escape, in teamfights be very careful when you use this to catch up to an escaping team because they might realize you just burnt your escape and try to initiate on you. Proper use of this ability will greatly improve your gameplay, use it like you would with flash but just take into consideration the long cooldown.
R: The Culling
Active: Lucian starts firing shots in the target direction for 3 seconds, each shot damaging the first enemy it hits. Lucian is capable of moving while firing. Reactivating this skill will cancel it. The Culling deals quadruple damage to minions but not monsters.
Cooldown: 100 / 75 / 50
Cost: 100 mana
Physical damage per shot: 40 / 50 / 60 (+30% bonus AD) (+10% AP)
Shots Fired: 7.5 + (7.5 / 9 / 10.5 * attack speed at the time of cast)
Maximum Shots: 26 / 30 / 34
Maximum Total Damage: 1040 / 1500 / 2040 (+780 / 900 / 1020% bonus AD) (+260 / 300 / 340% AP)
If you can land most of your ult on an enemy you will hit them for massive damage, you can use flash and your E to reposition yourself during this if you need to. Combine this ability with
to give you 40 movespeed when you are hitting them with the ult which allows you to easily make sure they are in the line of fire.
If you are being chased you can throw out your
to escape easily when combined with your
possible position which usually just involves kiting a tank whilst hitting him with it.
Don't be afraid to cancel your ult if the enemy has juked around it, simply press r again and you can use your regular abilities to try and finish them off.
Be aware that your ult is easily cancelled by CC so don't ult in a position where you can be easily controlled.
