Introduction



Hello and welcome to my Vayne guide. This guide covers any Vayne lane that is in combination with a support, but does not include Vayne solo top or mid.

My name is TheHawkPower a North American SoloQ player and I really enjoy playing but I mostly prefer watching and learning. Hope you guys liek the guide and don't forget to like or dislike and put a comment to help me improve.

Skills

Night Hunter
Your passive ability that gives you extra movement speed when facing an enemy champion (within 2000 range). Always remember that having this in addition to tumble will make chasing down opponents very easy, as well as catching up to set up a condemn. Utilize this as well when dodging skill shots for an increased movement speed boost in the direction of a champion.
Tumble
Tumble is a very simple ability that enhances your next auto-attack's damage as well as repositioning Vayne towards where your cursor is pointing. This ability is what defines Vayne, there are many ways you can use this skill and it costs very little mana at the same time. You can use it to:

Position yourself for a nice wall CC

Escape terrain barriers such as Jarvan's ultimate, Anivia's wall, etc.

Kite enemies

Close the gap between you and your target

Reset your auto-attack for a last hit

A good Vayne will use Tumbles conservatively and place herself in vantage positions with each activation. You want to place yourself in positions where you can deal damage without taking much in return.
Silver Bolts
This ability is what gives Vayne her late-game hyper carry status through the devastating true damage. Remember that all her attacks and skills can activate this ability, so using an Autoattack --> Tumble --> Condemn can quickly finish off a low HP opponent if used correctly.
Condemn
Condemn is a unique skill that pushes one enemy away, dealing slight damage to them and if near a wall, can also stun them for a brief duration. This ability is very situational, you can use it in one of three ways:

To peel for yourself, by knocking the target away

Initiating on an unaware enemy near a wall

Finishing off an opponent in combination with your Silver Bolts ability
Final Hour
Final hour is a multi-use ability that passively gives you movement speed, attack damage, and invisibility on a short cooldown. This skill makes Vayne difficult to pin down in team fights, and arguably has one of the best combination of effects of all the AD carries.

Vayne is a ranged Marksman DPS, her strength comes from her true damage and insane damage endgame which makes her one of the deadliest marksman end game. However, she's vulnerable and can be countered quite easily.

When should I pick Vayne ?

You can pick her almost everytime but there is some situations where she is better than other adc :

  • Your team got CC and a good engage.
  • When your support can iniatie and tank dmg like &

When is Vayne a bad pick ?

  • The enemy team got many AoE CC like
  • The enemy team got very hard engage and burst
  • The other support is ... Vayne does not like BANANA!

Explanation:

Flash : No alternative, you need it to run or to chase, to position yourself.

Use if you want to pin someone to a wall with your

Barrier : Let you win a trade or survive a burst such Unstoppable Force which can't be cleanse.

Cleanse : Awesome spell since it removes other summoner's spells, making you hard to focus with QSS. Try to use it, only when you are exhausted, or going to die ignited. Good against high CC team or

R for obvious reason. W because you build Botrk first and proc silver bolt more often. Q for the cooldown and utility, I like maxing both of them at the same time because it allows you to use your tumble more often during your ultimate, it also can help you escape or chase someone. E last for no real reason.

Early Game

First, check who you are laning against, look at the AD carry AND the support to determine with which item start.
If you are blue cover your jungler until 1:20 minute mark or longer if you invade the enemy jungle.
If you are purple help your jungler with his blue if he begins with it.

Go with your support to your lane. Until level 4, I suggest you just to farm and last hit as much as you can : remember if you last hit under tower, wait 2 hits of the tower on melee creep + autoattack and 1 tower hit + tumble on caster creep, harass your opponent if he does but DONT spam tumble and DONT SPAM your E, mana cost of the E is huge early game. When you hit 4, harass your opponent with your autoattack, and try to proc your W a lot. If a trade goes wrong just E the enemy carry even if he cost you a lot of mana.
To maximize your damage try to autoattack the enemy AD twice and tumble to proc your W, which will deal more true damage. As I said don't spam your E and I think you must not use it before level 5 to deal more damage. See if the enemy AD is near a wall (keep last hitting in the same time). If not look at the support which is often in the brush. If he's squishy like Janna, Soraka, Sona ask for a ward and pin the support to a wall, try to tumble to proc W, but if you have to tumble to position yourself to use your E, do it. Try to be aggressive with Vayne early game, don't worry if you don't kill someone in the laning phase, you are a carry AD, your damage will increase throughout the game especially with Vayne.
If you are ganked knockback the jungler or the enemy AD carry, use flash and cleanse if necessary.

For your first back you should have at least 1400 gold or more.


Buy wards even as AD carry buy wards if you can, buy some pots too.
Dont forget, you are bottom lane, the drake must be warded and must be protected. If you die the enemy will probably try to do it.
That's why play safe early game, farm and harass when you can. If your jungler gank listen to him, if he's in the enemy jungle and in difficulty, help him even if you miss some last hit.
Check your CS often and try to be in teamfight for the drake. 175 CS at least at 20min.

Mid Game

Vayne power is increasing, you deal more and more damage. At this time, you must have finished your BotRK and going straight to . Take care if you stay bottom lane, enemy middle, jungler will begin to gank a LOT more often and roaming a LOT more often too. If you have no wards don't go too far in your lane. You have to play safe. Keep to have the drake warded. And if your team goes in teamfight GO WITH YOUR TEAM. You are the AD carry they need you in teamfight even if the bottom lane is pushing a lot.

You have to stay with your team if they fight. If your team loose a teamfight mid game, you might lose the game.
On the other hand, if Nashor, Drake and your lane is warded you can farm if you know where the enemy team is. Dont be behind the enemy carry AD in CS. Keep an eye on Nashor, take the red buff whenever you can, it makes a HUGE difference especially with Vayne, letting you chase as long as you want. Dont chase an enemy if you don't have any ward.

Late Game

This is when Vayne shines. Damage late game is one of the hightest damage among the AD carry. You are the main damage of your team. You must have your two big AD Items and building your

Nashor must be warded EVERYTIME. If they go drake GO NASHOR. Nashor is more important than drake late game. Stick with your team, push the towers even with your short range. Be with your team if they go nash or drake anyway you have to stay with your team everytime late.
Push lanes and tower.
Teamfights are crucial to win the game.

Team Fights

POSITIONING POSITIONING POSITIONING. It's the huge difference between a good carry AD and a bad carry AD.
If you can position yourself to deal as much damage as you can,you did your job.
Your focus in teamfight is the enemy AD carry first and the AP caster next. Dont focus people with thornmail if you can.
If they have an assassin, take care and stay near your team during the fight.

In the fight, ultimate to be stealth, try to pin the enemy AD carry to a wall, and kill him ASAP.
Your next target is the AP caster, dodge his skillshot with tumble if he has skillshot. After this you must kill the support with oracle. Don't suicide yourself into the enemy team it's not your job.
If an offtank rush you alone, just go back and keep hitting him, you deal true damage remember.
You are Vayne, you kill in 3 hits squishy champs. But,remember even if 3 enemies are low hp and you are alone, dont go into them if they have a lot of CC (like Fiddle).


VERY IMPORTANT


You can focus tanks if they are a threat for you and because you are Vayne you should shred them very easily.

If you see your team dieing before you come in the fight and the enemy team is full life just run away.
Dont die for nothing, if your team got caught or did a bad engage don't be aced for nothing.

Final Comments

You won't carry all of your games with Vayne. If enemy top and mid are fed your chances to win are very low. Even if you win your lane, you are squishy and can be focused very easily.
Do your best, cheer up your teamates even if they fail. Keep farming, give orders to your team if needed.
Ask for a gank if you are dominated bottom. You are a carry AD after, your damages will come later in the game.

To improve your skill with Vayne, just keep playing her, you will know when to pin someone, when to use your ultimate at his full potential with experience.

No lifesteal quints? You should never go IE third item on any ADC because you really don't need that much damage and Last Whisper is so much better. Please fix the guide. 3rd item should mainly be LW.
