Twisted Fate is one of the first heroes of League of Legends. He is a very unique AP casters with a lot of utility. Mainly Pick a Card and his ultimate make TF a really scary champion to fight against.

Choosing to regain mana and do more damage, AOE slow and do medium damage, or stun and minimal damage are all choices that can change a fight back and forth which makes him a very versatile champion. Being able to regain mana slowly through one ability can be very game breaking when you need that extra mana to deliver that extra AOE dps or single target 2 second stun.

He works very well with junglers and ganks for either top or bot lane.

He can push well

He has an ult which allows him to get away or engage in combat.

has an extra 4th auto attack AP scaling skill that helps with sustained damage.

In this guide you will learn the bare basics of playing Twisted Fate, in the middle lane.

Of course you can always throw him bot lane as an AP or AD, with champions like alistar, sona, or taric.

You don't need 9 in utility because you already have blue card for mana. If you're low on mana you aren't managing your mana properly, especially with sheen.

Best runes for late game scaling, you can go hybrid pen on reds if you want.

: Really useful for finishing people off, and anti heal.

Gold Card deals half the bonus damage of Red and Blue Cards (+40% of ability power) and stuns for 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 seconds.

Passive: Every 4 attacks, Twisted Fate deals an additional 55 / 80 / 105 / 130 / 155 (+40% of ability power) damage.

In addition, his attack speed is increased by 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 / 15% and his cooldowns are decreased by 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 / 15%.





Basically it's like a sword of the divine proc, that just gives you that extra damage that scales with your AP and counts as an auto attack.



Reveals all enemy champions (including stealthed champions) for 6 seconds.

Try to have this up when you start combat or a TP. Sometimes it can mean the difference between killing someone and them living with 1 hp. Keep auto attacking people even if your auto attacks don't do shit, because this skill will be useful for DPS.

W->Q for pushing
W->E for harassing

Just make sure you have 1 in E and W at the least no matter what skill build you go. Always make Q for the maximum push.

By level 9 you should be able to 1 shot ranged creeps with 2 or 3 doran rings.

Red card the 2nd melee creep + Q to clear the full wave and proceed to ganking.

Every time your E is up, proceed to play aggressive if needed, very straightforward abilities.

For when you use R you can look at the solo queue games.

Q Depends on your own player skill and luck.

Early : CS Properly, fight back when necessary, push, use gold card to stun with jungler ganks.

Mid Game: 6-13ish, you should be trying to push the wave then using your ult by running up or down to gank either or lanes.

Get Blue Buff.

Buy the proper items after you push if you run out of mana.

Make sure you practice your pick a card in fights, using your own judgement whether to use Red or Gold when there clumped up or if you're trying to single someone out.

Late Game: Stay behind your team, you're utility and AP DPS for your team, if you die, then your team loses a lot of threat.

When enemy team is split try to see if you can pick anyone off

Poke as much as possible with Blue buff.

Don't focus tanks if you can help it.

Split push when you can and teleport into fights to make the most of your ult.

If you're out of mana use a blue card even if they're almost dead, that Q could save your life, but so could the CC.

Not a big problem, you out range him and just constantly harass and push depends on enemy skill level.
Probably one of the biggest counters in the game. It's hard to harass him mid game and he just rapes you with his rift walks.
You can out push her but she'll probably 2 shot you.
You can out push him but he's a godly team fighter.
