welcome to my fiddle guide
My name is Showboat im 18 years old from Australia, been playing LoL from the olaf patch, played Dofus(fun game look it up) and WoW on and off between then. I manage/captain Team AUS with my brother haven't play competitively yet, thinking about starting for season 2, were not recruiting yet but will have a spot open soon if anyone is interested.
This guide will show how to play, build, and destroy as fiddlesticks. Fiddle is one of the most underrated champions in the league, he is my most played champ and extremely fun to play. I am not claiming to be the best fiddle player and i know that im not, just find him really fun and think more people should play him.

Fiddlesticks changesRead a post from morello basically saying fiddlesticks was left a bit underpowered after the rework and will receive some love THIS PATCH.
Finally some fiddle changes, i will update the guide on Tuesday(or w/e patch day is for you).
Maybe some jungle buffs :D junglesticks may be oh his way.
Next patch (14/6/11) will officially only have skins, the fiddle changes will be likely to come after dreamhack.
Range increased to 475 to 450
Heal is no longer reduced if the damage is shielded
Dark Wind damage increased to 65/90/115/140/165 from 65/85/105/125/145
Ability power ratio increased to .45 from .4
Channel duration reduced to 1.5 seconds from 2
Wont really help junglesticks but will help you hit that crowstorm and drain will last a bit longer.
These masteries are optimal for fiddle, 9 points in offense to get the cooldown reduction and magic pen, and 21 points in utility for general reasons i shouldn't need to explain.
Ive heard from a few people that this is viable, after testing it out i don't think it adds alot at all for the loss of CDR, movement speed and mana Regen.
Reds- MUST GET- obvious choice magic pen.
Yellows- MUST GET- seals for mana Regen.
Blues- OPTIONAL- flat cool downs, can use whatever you have for casters thou.
Purples- Pretty much whatever, i like a bit of AP and HP.
These are what i recommend but if you lack ip you can use anything you have.
<Testing movement speed Quints>
Flash- Flash is the BEST summoner spell in the game and should be taken with most champions.
Ghost- useful escape if flash is on cooldown.
Flash/ghost can be used for chasing and escaping and is a quick fix for a miss placed ult.
Nearby enemy champions have their magic resistance reduced by 10.
This passive is good and bad as shown in the next chapter
Good- added magic pen
Bad- people can see you when your hiding in a bush
But is hardly noticeable.
Strikes a target enemy unit with fear, causing it to flee in terror for 1 / 1.5 / 2 / 2.5 / 3 second(s).
Cooldown 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 / 10seconds
Cost 65 / 80 / 95 / 110 / 125mana
Fiddlesticks main CC and in my opinion his best ability.
useful offensively and defensively.
Drains 50 / 75 / 100 / 130 / 160 (+40% of ability power) health each second from target unit and gives it to Fiddlesticks. Lasts up to 6 seconds.
Cost 80 / 90 / 100 / 110 / 120mana
Drain this spell is what makes fiddle fiddle, its very fun and useful to stay in lane.
You need to know when to use this and when to run/chase, because it can kill you versing someone with a good CC ability.
E: Dark Wind
Strikes an enemy target and then bounces to a nearby enemy unit. Deals 100 (+35% of ability power) magic damage and silences for 1.2 sec for each strike.
Can bounce up to 2 / 4 / 6 / 8 / 10 times and may strike the same target multiple times.
Cost 50 / 70 / 90 / 110 / 130mana
Dark wind, great at level 1, good at level 5 hence why i level it last.
A murder of crows flock wildly around Fiddlesticks for 5 seconds, dealing 150 / 250 / 350 (+35% of ability power) magic damage each second to all enemy units in the area. This has a 2 second channel duration and teleports Fiddlesticks to target location.
Cost 150 / 200 / 250mana
Game changing ult, connect this and the penta-kills will just roll in.
I will make a map showing good places to cast crowstorm from in the future

You cant see it here, but singed (TheTurbo)can see that im hiding in the bush, hardly noticeable but still good to know.
Item BuildsWell for items id start with a and . If your not confident in playing fiddle then start with .
Go for first for some epic lane sustain with the passive+drain, then upgrade to RoA.
If you think you will be able to keep stacks up then get a
Next go for either or i prefer the hourglass first for the passive.
Then get a Death cap is the best item for ap and will boost your damage by a noticeable amount, by all means you can get this earlier if needed.
If you haven't won by now get a for added survivability.
Early GameLevels 1-6
Lane- Mid or solo top (duo bot if needed)
Spells- For level 1 team fights level up darkwind 1st, if nothing happens early get drain up. Terrify early is a big waste of mana hence why you only level it up once. Drain early is awesome it can catch your opponent of guard in a 1 on 1 situation.
Terrify- 1 point in terrify is only useful if you get ganked by mid/top or jungle.
Darkwind- Harras with darkwind it is great level 1 and with runes you will be able to spam it out.
Crowstorm- Once your level 6 you can run into top or mid bushes and go for a easy kill, if there not concentrating.
To get catalyst, boots and maybe a mejias.
To get 1 or 2 kills
To FARM minion kills
Wards- placing a ward at key ganking spots is cructial for early game ganks.
DRAGON (should be warded at 6)
Fiddle with blue buff can take dragon really easy and you should ask your jungler if he can get you the buff, either his or theirs.
Mid GameLevels 6-11
Spells- terrify terrify and terrify, awesome spell at this time and should be maxed asap. Darkwind becomes less important for damage and more important for the silence.
Crowstorm still owns people and is the easiest way of getting a kill.
Items- You should have your RoA by now and be working on either your hourglass or rylais, get a mejias if you feel you will be able to get/keep stacks up.
Keep stacks on mejias
FARM minion kills
DRAGON (should always be warded)
Must have dragon up and ready to kill or on cooldown.
BARON (MUST be warded)
baron is fairly crucial at this point if they get it (and are smart) they can crush a lane or even win.
Late GameLevels- 11-18
Spells- terrify should be level 5 and drain nearly 5, you will start leveling darkwind up only for some extra damage. At level 10/15 it is worth waiting on your ult to get that extra level.
Items- should have core items and hourglass/rylias/deathcap (one or two of them) at this time.
Focus on these things at this order
Late game for fiddle is hard yet rewarding just stay behind or to the side if your team, out of site of course and get ready for an ult.
Crow storm in and boom, pop hourglass, and if you did it right you have just won the game.
Best way to get penta kills below. :D
Wards- Wards are Very important at this point and the more wards the better.
JunglingOk well after the fiddle rework i don't jungle with fiddle, he can jungle but is reliant on blue buff at level 1 and any real interruptions will destroy fiddle.
I'm currently waiting apon a early buff from Riot to make jungling i bit easier.
But at this time i don't think jungle fiddle is worth it atm.
You will be able to get dragon easily with blue just spam drain and have your team attack. Try warding the places that the opposition will go to get to dragon.

Ult placementsHere are a few good placements for when you hit level 6.
There are more but for now these are the main ones.
Also remember they are sometimes warded to buying a oracle is a good idea.
Final CommentsAlso buying the fiddle-me-timbers skin will result in epic cawcawing.
