    @Swiftaaay

    If you are already snowballing then straight damage is your best bet. At my best I've gone 1v3 with straight damage items and walked away with at least a double kill. If you're not as far ahead or even behind, then tanky items are definitely an option.

    I think that Riven is countered by Skarner which does not really matter because this champ is so rare seen in top lane nowadays....

    However a great guide!
    Thanks to goldfather!
    My first games: 16-1, 15-1, 18-2

    You definitely forced me to play this champ more times!

    Honestly, I think Riven is decent in the current Season as she stands. Given her early game has been nerfed a bit, I find that rushing a bt first is still extremely good considering the nerfs to cleaver.

    Starting redpot is preferred most of the time imo. It's just so strong, since it gives you more health and AD than doran's for three minutes. Just remember; you don't use it the moment you walk into lane. You use it when you need it, say you get ignited and you're about to die, pop red pot + your health pots and all of a sudden you're at a stronger point than your opponent, given he didn't have the same start.

    I was playing a day or so ago, and noticed that with just a blood thirster, my passive gave me ~95 bonus AD. My other items were a half compelte warmogs and a frozen mallet so +20 AD from that into the passive and realistically, I think she can do a significant amount of damage, whilst stacking health. Given health stacking isn't exactly an optimal choice, but imo Riven needs at most two damage items at the moment to stay relevant. She can build a bit of tankiness after that. Maw is a nice choice, but I do prefer Runic over it. Really depends on the other team's comp, but building her glass cannon isn't as reliable.

    I've also started playing her S2 style, with the W max instead of Q. I still like it.

    Hmm well that's +8.1 HP/5 for -6.75AD, guess it's quite acceptable, especially if you start Doran's.

    And yeah I've also been running fort pot against certain champs, especially when I play Riven mid.

    @Falseshadow just tried hp-regen quints, its like 100% the same Riven as in s2.
