Open with boots and health pots only if you have a non sustain support. Such as Janna, Leona, Blitz etc. If you feel that supports like Sona, and Alistar's heal is too low early you can get boots 3 as well. It all depends on you and your opinion.

Personally I only get Triple dorans in SoloQ when Im destroying the lane. If your ahead of the enemy Ad carry and you have Triple dorans, you will make their lives miserable.

Graves is former Ad King and can be Ad king if played right. Graves posses one of the highest burst for Ad carries which makes him simply godly and pain in the effin ass to lane with. One point blank buckshot to the opposing ad carries or their support might just make them QQ. He is also has a good escape and a good mechanic skill to make him overall one of the best Ad carry.

You can also switch Havoc in Offence Tree to Vampirism. Personally Id take Havoc but its just my opinion.
Also I took some defence tree to get some hp and armor. Graves is so tanky for a ad carry its just ridiculus
