Basic Info
AP Nautilus is what I like to call a AP Killer, makes your opponent look pathethic.Hes E grants him a great ability to farm early even without any extra AP, cos of the descent base dmg.
He can push out the lane, to mess with the enemy wraths or, just catch enemy jungler off guard and kill him. Also great for running around map and scoreing kills.
Additional:You play him on mid lane, or solo top if u r going for double ap team.
He's dmg is just so good, he can carry.
Masteries
9 points for Offence is pretty obvious, you need it for Magic penetration, but you also get Cd reduction and extra AP which works great for any AP carry.21 points in utility.., I chose this way because I think, extra mana regen and mana is very good useful.
Also Swiftness, Runic affinity, Intelligence and mastermind just seems to work perfect on him.
Runes
Greater Mark of Insight-Basic AP Carry Marks.Greater Seal of Replenishment-For his early mana hungryness.
Greater Glyph of Shielding-takes a part in your plan to disable your enemy.
Greater Quintessence of Potency-Extra AP
Summoner Spells
makes up your lack of mobility, also it's a must have on most champions, especially if you cant possition yourself perfectly everytime.
Useful when your opponent is healing him self like for ex. Swain, or just as a finishing blow. Also you can go with:
for extra mobility.
Skills
Passive: Staggering BlowNautilus first basic attack against a target deals bonus physical damage and immobilizes the opponent briefly. Staggering Blow cannot trigger on the same target more than once every 12 seconds. .
Explanation:
Very useful, for extending your stun duration after Dredge Line, and farming. Also when you are farming, you want to hit separate targets, but be sure to calculate your moves, bacause as you now "Farm is the key to win"
Q: Dredge LineNautilus hurls his anchor forward. If it hits an enemy unit, Nautilus drags himself and the target together dealing 80/120/160/200/240 (+75% of ability power) magic damage and stunning them briefly. If the anchor hits terrain, Nautilus will drag himself forward and the cooldown is reduced by 50% (7/6.5/6/5.5/5).
Cost: 60/70/80/90/100 mana
Cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10 seconds
Range: 950
Explanation:
Your Iniciation skill, after this you just Auto attack your opponent and use your (E) Riptide.
In some cases it could help you get away from your opponents, but there only few places it would really work (I'll upload some screenshots soon). as far as chasing someone with this skill, Its great ofcourse if u can hit your target but if not, you should be able to get close just enough to apply your (E) Riptide slow, and then Auto attack to imobilize your target.
W: Titan's WrathNautilus surrounds himself with dark energies, shielding him from the next 80/130/180/230/280 plus 10% of his bonus health (+10% of bonus health) damage for up to 10 seconds. While the shield persists, Nautilus' basic attacks apply a damage over time effect to all units around his target. The effect deals 30/60/90/120/150 (+40% of ability power) magic damage over 2 seconds.
Cost: 80 mana
Cooldown: 26/24/22/20/18 seconds
Range: 350
Explanation:
Not so useful early with my build (nice extra DMG though), but life savior in mid, late game often combined with your Abyssal Sceptre, enemy Skills just dont hurt.
At rank 5 about 400 Dmg over time so... that's nice :)
E: RiptideNautilus slams the ground, causing the earth to explode around him. Each explosion deals 60/100/140/180/220 (+50% of ability power) magic damage to units in the area and slows them by 30/35/40/45/50% for 2 seconds. This slow diminishes over time. A unit can be hit by more than one explosion, but they take 50% less damage from additional explosions.
Cost: 60/70/80/90/100
Cooldown: 10 seconds
Range: 400
Explanation:
Harass/Farm/Kill Anything of this sort.
R: Depth ChargeNautilus fires a shockwave that chases an enemy champion. This deals 125/175/225 (+40% of ability power) magic damage to enemies it passes through and knocks them into the air. The shockwave explodes upon hitting its target dealing 250/350/450 (+80% of ability power) magic damage, launching them into the air and stunning them for 1/1.5/2 seconds.
Cost: 100 mana
Cooldown: 120/100/80 seconds
Range: 825
Explanation:
In most fights, Squishy champions are protected, by the wall of tankier ones, this is pretty good for his ultimate cos, you can just use it on the Squishers standing behind (that means you deal him most dmg) and additionaly Knock up everybody in its way. What I mean is, this is a great cc if u use it right, you allways want to hit as many targets as you can.

Early Game
You need to play defensive, atleast until you get Boots+Double doran set, then you are good to play more offensive.Best way to harass your opponents is by zoning them out while they are trying to farm.
Later in the game you should wait for an opportunity to grab your opponent with Q then land a full combo, that way they lose propably half of their HP.
Extra tip, Nautilus is great when he is cooperating with his jungler, so you should ask him for ganks, or maybe even play with your friend to have a even better comunication.
Its team comp. dependable but in most cases I recommend positioning yourself (for ex. while Ganks 2v2 on mid) so you can allways use your Q to escape, side brushes on mid lane are perfect for Nautilus, because you can get out of enemy sight whenever you want with your Q just shoot it through the bushes so you can grab a terrain and go.
Mid Game
After getting your abyssal scepter you are pretty much untouchable by your enemy laner.Just push out your minion waves, and steal enemy wraths or go for any team related maneuvers.(pretty much like sion) Whenever you get yourself in a bad position(2v1mid), you should allways use your E first to slow down your opponents and try to find a good location to use your Q, remember to do it wisely, because a bad grab can most likely kill you. (Use W when you feel the need for it, in most cases immediately after you get in trouble but sometimes, when your jungler is near you, and you have your ult up feel confident to bait them, it's better to make enemy belive you are getting hurt, and then counter attack (QEWR) or whatever is fitting to that situation.
Late Game
You are now very tanky AP Carry with massive DMG, enemy AP should be behind with farm, but most certainly Hating you. You are the same Ap carry as him, difference is that you dont take dmg from him at all.
In team fights you have few options, you should allways cc the hell out of enemy team to help yours, but you can decide what you want to do with your dmg output, so you can either go for an easy kill, Ult enemy AP, knock the whole team up, use Riptide, then W and Q for safety (If you are getting hurt) or use W and Q to do even more dmg. Also dont forget about your auto attack, with Lich bene it is important that you AA whenever your Lichbene passive is up.(also useful when pushing towers).
Lich bene is the very important part of your dmg out put, I mean its like 400-700 per 2s extra dmg (depending on how much ap you managed to get)
remember to not cruise around the map alone, because your escape tools are very terrain dependable, sometimes you are just unable to make any good use out of it.
Example:
Baron (doing it):
Attack-position youself so you can Q to your enemy as near as you can, and then catch comeone with ult.
Escape-Purple team (make an use out of Tri-brush) Blue team, Wherever the brush is, and you can Q so it wont delay you., but if it does, just use Riptide.
Also, try to land your Riptide on many opponents 1-2 might not be worth wasting your cooldown.
Baron (Defending it):
Attack-you can do a pretty big mess with your cc skills, also with 700 dmg on Q or just 700dmg auto attack, you have a nice chance to steal it, just remember it's allways risky and you may just get yourself killed for nothing.
Escape-Purple, try not get yourself in trouble, its pretty hard to get out of trouble from this side.
Blue team- same as when you are doing baron.
Thank you
This guide is made not long after Nautilus release but, I've tested it many times and its pretty damn good to carry your team, Ill keep this guide updated. Please test it then rate it :)Also remember this guide covers Solo Mid Laning with this champ, so it might lack information required for Solo toping or jungling, but then just search for those guides.
I'll keep this guide updated, and also test this champion againt different team comps , laning opponents and good jungler partners.
I've got my computer infected with some virus when I downloaded game called S4league, and due to these surcomstances Im unable to make further researches about this champion, I'll get to work as soon as I deal with this problem, propably tomorrow or the day after.
Hope you enjoy.

because of the high base dmg that Nautilus has) then finish it to

each of them have a great use on him, I just prefer to go with Mercs cos they r devastating for enemy AP carry.

you purchase, against heavy MR team, but remember you have Abysal (-20 MR), and Lich bane wich gives you aloooot of AD DMG ( its funny to push towers, hitting them for 600+dmg every 2s)

This comment stands out to me.
"OMG just saw your comment, "so I guess we have to wait till Regi starts playn him..." LMFAO. You are such a moron if you seriously think a smart player that plays and knows the most about AP mids, and is on the highest ranked team competitively, is ever going to play Nautilus as AP mid in a tournament or high Elo (except as a joke or troll)."
It stands out to me because in a recent tournament Reginald took AP Sion to beat out a Leblanc mid. Not that AP Sion is uncommon but he is a tanky/bruiser/melee character with CC and a burst. I would say Nautilus sorta fits the bill there too. So to make a comment like that makes me laugh when indeed top players will do outlandish play styles just to counter someone. It sounds like your swearing on your life and calling other people morons when they say its possible top players will "when they already have" and your saying they would never "again, when they already have."
In any case if you don't like a guide don't just sit on there and troll it to death. Get a life.
