Hello, I’m Saladien, and this is my first guide, so I’ll keep the personal intro short. I’m a platinum player currently rated at 2k, and I was also platinum last season. I typically play AD carries, with the occasional AP mid or jungle thrown in. I like high mobility and high damage champions, like Corki, Ezreal, Lee Sin, Vayne, and Cassiopeia. I stream solo queue and arranged 5’s frequently at
Ezreal is both my most played and favorite champion. A conservative estimate would be that I’ve played 1500 games as him alone. He was the first champion I ever unlocked, and I fell in love with the entirely skill shot based kit. I hit 2k this season, playing almost exclusively Ezreal. He’s got an absurdly high skill cap, and since everything is a skill shot, your accuracy will make or break you as an Ezreal player.
I’ve been playing him since the very beginning, originally as AP, when Essence Flux used to heal, then I switched to AD when mystic shot got buffed and essence flux got nerfed. Then the heal was entirely removed AND mystic shot get consecutive ratio nerfs and its range cut slightly; but I’ve always played him a la Reginald aggressive play style. You can still build him AP, but compared to newer AP carries, he doesn’t deal equivalent amounts of damage, has no CC, and can’t farm since essence flux doesn’t damage minions.
The game has changed a lot since then, and most of what made Ezreal amazing is gone. His kiting is not as effective anymore, due to the slow percentage nerf on red on ranged champions; as well as due to the ever increasing mobility creep. The meta has also shifted, and AD mid is almost unheard of, despite it being Ezreal’s best lane. Since Ezreal can no longer take mid, you can’t abuse the AD casterish nature of higher levels of mystic shot mid game. Ezreal is outshined by newer AD carries such as Vayne, Sivir and Graves who all have better base stats and scaling and animations, and more guaranteed ways to dish out more damage. Lastly, Corki does everything Ezreal does, but better.
Why should you play Ezreal then? Because he’s the most fun AD carry and champion in the game. While IMO Ezreal’s kit and stat scaling should be changed a bit, there is so much that you can do with Ezreal, that you can’t do with any other AD carry, such as 2v1 or 3v1 in situations, or get fed from across the map. And when you do go off, you know it’s not because the game is handing you a kill because you can click an ability and it’s guaranteed to hit or just right click, but because it’s all skill.

Just watch the 5th place video. Shows all the skills, highlights Ezreal's early game damage, mobility, and the ridiculous range on
LoL EzrealEzreal gets a lot of flak from the League community for several reasons. He's outshined by other AD carries in general. He's hard to use and play effectively. Most people can't use or play effectively, to any degree. If you're not landing your , you're doing no damage. Even if you are landing your , you're probably not hitting the target you want to or should be hitting. Your build is probably leaning too heavy towards an AD caster build, gimping your late game.
All that hatred and disdain blossoms eventually into the hilarity that is TheOddOne's Ezreal quotes.
- "TeddyRO's trying to prove something by playing Ezreal. All he's proving is that Ezreal is a shitty champion."
- "Haha look at Ezreal, he's like a 5 year old with a little toy gun! Look at me I'm Ezreal! PEWPEWPEWPEW"
- "When you pick ezreal you just pretty much stabbed your team. You just took a dump on their face. When you pick Ezreal it's not a team player move"
- "Ezreal's such a shit champion! He does 0 damage and can't even do anything in teamfights. All his Qs get blocked by ghouls and TANKS, he's not even viable. What are you going to do, shoot these zombies to death?"
- "So we have Ezreal poking them down. And by poking I mean 10 damage."
- "I'm getting will of the ancients to help out Ezreal. Now he'll do 20 damage instead of 10 damage"
- "Could have picked a real champ like Corki but noooo picked Ezreal."
- "Great. Ezreal just died to Malaria. The jungler didn't even come gank. Ezreal just died to disease walking in grass. Ezreal's so weak that he dies to things that doesn't even exist in this game."
- "See that's why they didn't release the Pulsefire Ezreal, they were afraid people would actually play him and realize how bad he is...then never play him again"
- "Ezreal's damage is so low it doesn't even register as an assist. It only registers when he dies"
- "Ezreal does so little damage he's like a fucking minion. Purple caster minion Ezreal"
- "He has to use his ult to clear creep waves, that's how weak Ezreal is...but look! His ult can't even clear the wave!"
- "Ehome is understanding the power of Ezreal. There is no fucking power."
- "The nottingham skin looks like Ezreal went to Old Navy and bought a jacket. That's all this skin is. And its a bad jacket for 520 RP."
- "There's war and disease...and there's Ezreal. You don't want any of them."
- "What? Ezreal got first blood? How is this possible? Who's his support? Oh it's Sona, that explains a lot. Somehow Ezreal managed to get the last hit in"
- "Oh my god Ezreal killed something? Who killed it for him?"
- "Oh god it's American Ezreal. We lose. It would have been okay if it was Canadian Ezreal, that's why we still let Chaox play Ezreal, but American Ezreal is just the worst thing I've ever seen. Ever."
- "Can't pick Ezreal and expect to win, it is the moral of today's story. They are the scourge of the earth"
- "See even the other team thinks Ezreal is useless!"
This season and last whenever I'd pick Ezreal, a large majority of the time pregame I'd read stuff like, "Had I known this fuckface was going to Ezreal, I would have picked AD," or "Should have picked Corki," or "GG instaloss" Post game attitudes would be entirely different.
Ezreal is an AD carry. It’s a necessity to take 21 in offense. I take the crit damage over the magic penetration, to alleviate his weaker late game and to synergize with the Trinity Force and Infinity Edge. Also, the tiny bit of additional damage on his and isn't worth it. Take the lifesteal over the 1.5% percent damage increase since Havoc isn’t worth it for 3 points, and the lifesteal will help you sustain yourself in lane, especially if you start boots 3 pots.
I take 9 in utility, grabbing the mana regen mastery since instead of scaling mana regen glyphs, I run flat MR blues. I then pick up the increased buff duration for the reds you should be getting, which will allow you to poke and kite longer and more effectively since applies on-hit effects. If you end up getting blue, you’ll be a lot more mobile due to the increased coming out lowering the cooldown on all your abilities for more and . A buffed Ezreal is extremely dangerous. Might as well be dangerous for even longer.
Occasionally, you may have to take 9 in defense, depending on your enemy lane comp, grabbing armor and the early game HP boost. If you start boots, with utility, you’ll start out with 430 HP, which is less HP (even if your enemy is also specced utility) as well as less AD and armor compared to most of the remainder of the AD carry roster. As always, make sure to add or subtract points from the summoner masteries depending on what you take.
You should have two primary pages. Both pages will have AD quints, flat armor seals, flat magic resist glyphs. The marks will either be flat AD or armor penetration. I typically use the full flat AD page primarily for last hitting purposes, since as an AD carry your job is to farm farm farm. I use the armor penetration page if I’m going middle and I know my enemy won’t bring armor, against a Graves, Taric or if I’m planning on building a .
- The flat AD quintessences are for last hitting, and further increasing early game damage.
- The flat AD marks are for even easier last hitting, and further increasing early game damage.
- The flat armor seals provides more effective HP bot lane against the AD carry, and allow you to sustain yourself in lane longer, and trade hits. If your enemy doesn't bring armor yellows, you want to trade as often as you can since they'll take more damage than you will.
- The flat MR glyphs prevent being dealt true damage from an AP carry with just and lowers the damage taken from the enemy support.
You can also change up the armor seals for flat attack damage seals, although I would only recommend that if you’re going mid against AP, or scaling mana regen glyphs for the flat magic resist if they are physical heavy or if you’re more comfortable running defense with magic resist masteries.
Not really needed or obtainable by most since the lifesteal quints are 2050 IP each. I personally play a lot of AD carry bot lane so the investment is worth it for me. I'd personally stick with getting the AD quints, and AD reds first if you're still building up rune pages. I've been running this occasionally, with a nonsustain or limited sustain support, like which would typically play aggressive, or against a explosive early game enemy jungler where the additional HP would help me survive. I wouldn't particularly run it with say .
With the lifesteal quints you open up with to offset the loss of the AD quints. You end up saving 105 gold from and end up with an additional +3 damage after subtracting what you lose form the AD quints.
Naturally, your build will change. The usual laning phase standard of stays the same. If you needed the additional sustain from the , instead build another .
Compared to flat AD quints and which nets you +200 hp, +35 damage and +18% lifesteal, with the lifesteal quints, gets you +300 hp, +38 Damage and +15% lifesteal for a overall exchange of +100 HP, +3 damage, -3% lifesteal. You also would steer clear of going the , since you should have enough sustain, especially after getting a item.
Also, it's important to note you can always just go the standard with the standard rune page with your no sustain support.
Theres also other variations, like using 2 AD quints and a lifesteal quint, dropping vampirism in offense and buff duration to pick up magic pen.
I personally take , after the heal nerfs. The allows me to secure early game kills and allows me to capitalize on my early game.
You can take any combination of . For learning Ezreal I'd stick with .
> + CC: Cleanse shines early game against offensive summoners and against CC oriented supports like Taric and Sona.
>: Bringing heal, against cleanse effectively allows you to guarantee a win in a prolonged engagement. Force trades, and either push them out of lane, or kill them.
>: Ignite applies mortal strike, reducing the effectiveness of all healing done to the target. It also does true damage letting you secure kills more easily.
Passive: Rising Spell Force
Hitting a target with any of Ezreal's abilities increases his attack speed by 10% for 6 seconds (Max Stacks: 5).
Ezreal’s mediocre "steroid". In team fights, a well placed ,and use of your other abilities will keep it stacked up. In lane, it’s too mana intensive to keep up without blue buff. However, if you can, try to trade or engage right after you generate some stacks. When taking towers, make sure to minions to stack your passive in order to take the tower faster.
Q: Mystic Shot
Ezreal fires a bolt of energy dealing 40 / 65 / 90 / 115 / 140 plus 110% of his attack damage and 20% of his ability power as physical damage (applies on-hit effects).
Ezreal's cooldowns are reduced by 1 second if Mystic Shot hits a target.
/ 35 / 40 / 45 / 50mana
Ezreal’s Bread and Butter. Consequently, it makes or breaks how good of an Ezreal you are, even more so if you lean toward a build with an early . It hits like a truck early game, and hits like a wet noodle late game and is a large reason why Ezreal falls off compared to other AD carries. It does not penetrate units like Graves’ buckshot or Caitlyn’s Piltover. It applies on hit effects, which is why are all great items on Ezreal. This + red buff used to let Ezreal kite 1v5.
Landing a mystic shot lowers the CD of every ability by 1 second, including mystic shot.If you’re getting chased and are trying to escape, make sure to land your mystic shots while running so you can arcane shift away faster.
If two minions are about to die at the same time, last hit one, and mystic shot the other for both.
In bot lane, blindly shooting into the brush will net you some free harass on the support. In order to hit the AD carry you need your support to either move the enemy carry out into the open, or abuse weird angles. Another way to land your mystic shots in lane is to wait for a creep to die, last hit it, and shoot through the now open file.
Most importantly, whenever you land it makes a characteristic PACHANK sound. Since it makes a sound whenever you hit anything, use to substitute for your face. If someone may be hiding in the brush, just launch one out, and if you hear the PACHANK, watch out.
W: Essence Flux
Ezreal fires a wave of energy that damages all enemy champions it passes through for 75 / 125 / 175 / 225 / 275 (+60% of ability power). Affected ally and enemy champions have their attack speed respectively hasted or slowed by 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40% for 5 seconds.
Cost 60/70/80/90/100 mana
The new OP. Recently lost some damage and more importantly some width making it harder to land. Maxing this out first is amazing in lane, as it goes through minions unlike mystic shot. It also lowers the enemy attack speeds, so force trades if possible after landing this.
E: Arcane Shift
Ezreal teleports to a target nearby location and fires a homing arrow at the nearest enemy unit dealing 80 / 130 / 180 / 230 / 280 (+75% of ability power) magic damage.
Ezreal's blink. Flashes to a location, and attacks the nearest enemy. You can jump pretty much any wall on the rift with this if you get close enough to the wall, and click the right place on the opposite end. Whenever using it to escape/kite, try to jump walls. Be careful with its use if you're not bringing flash. When it's safe to do so, you can shift to the side to ensure you land . Takes some practice and general experience to learn when to use it to jump in, and when you should save it to jump out
R: Trueshot Barrage
Ezreal channels for 1 second to fire a barrage of missiles dealing 350 / 500 / 650 (+90% of ability power and +1 per bonus attack damage) magic damage to each unit it passes through. However, it deals 8% less damage for each unit it hits (Minimum 30%).
Cooldown 80 seconds
Cost 150 mana
I have a real love/hate relationship with this skill. Ezreal’s global ultimate. It function’s exactly like Ashe’s ultimate, except it doesn’t stun, and it damages minions. For every unit it hits it does less damage, minions and neutrals included (which is pretty stupid, since you can't clear a wave with it, and you can whiff entirely). Use it for sniping kills across the map or killing someone who barely gets away, stealing red and blue and if you’re lucky baron/dragon, clearing minion waves. Most often you’ll use it in the beginning of a team fight for your passive and the damage, or to grab whoever barely got away. Easily the most satisfying ult in the game to get a kill with. Half of the time though, they'll live with less than a 100 hp, all because you hit that fucking red wraith on the way there.
Skill OrderIn general: >>>
: Primary damage source. Level first. Higher levels increase the damage and lowers the cooldown, so you can lower the cooldown on everything else faster.
: Lowers the cooldown so you can reposition and kite and chase, faster and better.
: Against a Vayne/Graves/Miss Fortune/Kog'maw, I'll grab a point in this at level 4.
The other skill order you can use is prioritizing
I find maxing W to be more effective against certain enemy AD's over Q. They both work, and both have their distinct advantages. I find maxing early is less mana intensive, and allows you to take 9 in defense or utility. Maxing needs utility, or dropping magic resist for mana regen. I like maxing ,if I'm dueling a lot in lane, if I have , when the enemy is always hiding behind minions so I'm unable to get off consistently or against longer range carries, like , because often moving yourself into position is going to get you nailed by volley or poked twice. I personally like it less vs whose all burst damage from an auto phosphorus bomb for example. Both work, I found it not to make too much of a difference, except by prioritizing first or second, you need to be a lot more careful in how you use .
They both work, for the longest time I've personally had success doing R>Q>E>W as evidenced by the videos. I'm planning on uploading some first ones soon.
Really good item to rush on Ezreal, since will proc the lifesteal. I rush this when I'm with a non sustain support, or when I have no faith in my support in general. Ezreal has a 550 autoattack range, and even with , due to the mobility creep you can get caught. The lifesteal allows you take a hit, while dishing out damage. A fully stacked will allow you to regen off of neutral creeps after skirmishes or full on team fights. Just remember not to die.
Another really good item to rush on Ezreal, due to all the utility it provides. I rush this in lower ELO's typically since there's a smaller emphasis on dragon control and the team fighting that comes with it, and as a result longer laning phases. If you can extend laning phase, and will wreck in lane. In higher elo, a = an in terms of equivalent farm, and I feel like I don't put out competitive damage when the teams are as coordinated as they are.
You can get either or first, after the initial and . Getting the first will give you a large HP advantage or you can go straight for the phage, skipping the if you started with . You should get the first if you don't need the HP advantage, don't need the slow, if you're having mana problems, or if you're hitting a large majority of your .
Also, if you get this first, consider getting immediately after. Your will hit like a truck until late game, instead of fizzling out earlier due to delaying the until after your initial big items
What I prefer to get after the initial start, specifically for solo queue. Solo queue is extremely snowbally. In solo queue, killing the enemy matchup sows so much chaos and discord, and causes to much infighting that teams will almost always surrender at 20 minutes. That's what this item does. The 45 armor penetration means you'll be dealing near true damage, especially if you brought armor penetration marks. Since applies the debuff, the stacks are applied extremely fast, and on Ezreal early game you're going to 3/4/5 shot bot lane. It sells for around 2000g, so when the enemy team starts stacking armor you can just sell it for a
Helps diminish how much Ezreal falls off late game, by adding more damage and crit. Unless you've been going a standard AD carry build, when you get this, mystic shot will be more for applying effects and Ezreal will become more of an autoattacker.
Allows you to deal damage to tanky dps late game. Buy after you have damage items, and buy when three or more members of the enemy team have 100+ armor.
Generally replaced by . Less movespeed, attack speed, crit chance in exchange for the . Late late game, I'll occasionally sell for this, since late game a majority of your damage is autoattacks anyways
Standard AD carry defensive item. Get the when needed, and finish the QSS when needed. Prioritize if the enemy team is exhaust heavy, has a suppress in the form of Skarner/Urgot/Malzahar/Warwick, and you're a juicy target, and if there is a spammable guaranteed to hit CC that can fuck you.
For when you can't kite, or when your team can't peel for you. Sell for this if the next team fight determines who wins the game.
Get this almost always.
Get this if you're getting all the blue buffs on your team, and if is your first or second item. The CDR will let you pump out a ton of damage via the proc early/mid game with lowering the cooldown on
I rarely get these. If the enemy team is super CC heavy, and super AP heavy, and still isn't going to cut it.
I haven't bought this on Ezreal in the longest time. Used to be you rushed this along with . If you can farm, there's better alternatives. That and with the new masteries, flat armor pen isn't as appealing as is used to be.
Used to be a decent purchase, when the meta was AD heavy and everyone had tons of armor, due to the proc being applied by . Not that great in general anymore, especially on AD carries, besides Kog.
Justifiable purchase. I just think QSS is better and cheaper. And if you need magic resist, FoN is also better than the , and lets you kite more effectively.
I'm not a huge fan personally. Doesn't let you take advantage of Ezreal's early game enough.
I used to get these 24/7, along with and a stacked meant 500 movespeed Ez. Now, are standard.
I've gone tank ezreal with these items, and it used to work when tabis had dodge. Your W, along with the crippled enemy attack speed. The armor made sure you took no damage and was relatively cheap to obtain since it's mainly defensive stats. gave you your damage output. Currently, buying any of these items is highly situational.
Only if you're going mid and only for big money players.
Not necessarily a bad item, I just don't feel like it takes advantage of Ezreal's early game. It's alright if you go mid. Definitely not if you go bot imo. I just don't like this item on Ezreal. Especially since strength of spirit isn't accessible anymore. Does let you spam to your hearts content. If you do get this, you need to rush the tear at the very least, and might as well finish building it all the way.
You belong in a museum.
And you're probably a Noxian, and I hate those guys.
Extremely cost effective. Gives HP, damage and lifesteal. Always grab at least one of these, especially if you're utility, and not getting first. Start this with a sustain support.
Basic boots. Start with this with a nonsustain support, or if you're planning on early aggression.
Get if you need additional sustain, or if you're getting first.
Health pots, remember to pop them. Buy some even if you're not going to use them.
Who Needs A Map?
Vision is information, and information is everything. Knowing where the enemy team is, can prevent ganks, can setup counterganks, gives you the knowledge that you can push safely or take dragon, etc. Early on, you may have to pick up one or two so your support can get their GP5 items.
Generally, you'll want to prioritize red>green>blue. If you're early game dominance or utility builds go with the red pot. If you're standard AD carry or if you've progressed far enough into the other two builds to get an infinity edge, get the green elixir. If you have the income, get all 3.
Support SynergyEzreal has a strong early game, so you ideally want an aggressive support, where you can harass, punish and eventually kill your enemy. Along with your aggressive support, ideally you want them to bring an offensive summoner such as exhaust/ignite.
If Taric stuns, Ezreal get guaranteed mystic shot damage. Early game, stun shatter, along with Ezreal auto attack, mystic shot, arcane shift + ignite will kill anybody. Against opponents with cleanse or escapes, committing to a small degree after the Taric stun will force summoners or abilities. Following up as soon as the stun comes up again equals kills. At 6, your burst increases with both your ults. Coordinate using your offensive summoners in conjunction with your setup every time it's up. Focus on whoever is squishier, and then keep preying on them. If they don't make a mistake farm. If they do make a mistake, kill them, and keep farming.
My bot lane now has a huge early game lead. In this situation I want to keep farming, and whenever Taric and my offensive summoners are up, isolate one of them, and blow them up. Prey on whoever is weaker.
Two CC’s. Depends more on the Alistar’s ability to combo headbutt + pulverize. Same concept as with Taric. Farm until an opportunity arises. Mainly Alistar will be playing keep away and bullying the enemy, resulting in either pushing them out of lane, or killing them.
With a Sona, you should focus on farming, while she does a large majority of the harass, and when she disrupts their positioning, make sure to land . Engage, when you get engaged on, or when her harass can potentially lead to a kill. At 6, a Sona ultimate guarantees hitting and usually killing at least one member of the enemy bot lane.
While Leona doesn’t offer any sustain, her CC + her passive along with how strong Ezreal is lets you 100 to 0, either the enemy support or AD carry, whenever Leona lands her zenith blade. At 6, your ults will net kills, provided you've still been farming.
You can still win your lane with other supports such as . I just find the above to mesh with the best.
Not really a "kill" lane. Too passive for my tastes personally. Basically farm and last hit, and spam mystic shot, gradually whittling down the enemy bot lane via poke and autos, out sustain them, and then when they get low enough, talk to your to coordinate trying to secure a kill using your offensive summoners if you ran them and her silence. Abuse Soraka massive heals and let her be your mana battery. As far as bot lane comps go though, you are extremely squishy. After getting a heal, trade autos with the enemy due to your temporary armor buff. However, play more cautiously when her heal is down, since that is the optimal time for the enemy to engage on you. Also, in most cases, getting dove against equivalent numbers should let you pick up at least one kill, due to the huge heal coming from astral blessing, wish and summoner heal provided you don't get nailed by a ignite/mf/trist
Sometimes with a , and if laning phase is kinda long, I'll max second, since I have unlimited mana. Use it to poke over the minion wave, and if you hit, try and trade since they have no attack speed. Just be careful because your shift cooldown will be obscenely long. I usually put a 2nd point into before I start maxing
Early GameFarm. Focus on last hitting. CS is everything. Harass the enemy when they go in for a last hit, or when they leave themselves open to a .
Mid lane is big, and straight, unlike bot lane which has the corner in the middle. Move around, try to harass. Get aggressive early. Most AP mids rarely see an Ezreal, much less an aggressive one. If you brought , and landed a couple autos and a at level 1, at level 2 on top of them, and finish off with autos for an early first blood and a "WTF!1!!!1 Is this Ezreal good, or is *Enemy Champion* just bad?" If you don't finish them off, they're still behind, and blew summoners. Play smart, farm, and wait for another opportunity to present itself.
For bot lane, depending on your support and their playstyle, you can either play passively or aggressively. I prefer the aggressive approach since has a strong early game. Playing passively doesn't really work, unless you're last hitting almost perfectly, since every other AD carry will scale better with items than you do. Even if you do choose to be aggressive, sometimes you just can't play that way against the enemy matchup. In these cases, you're just going to have to farm, get really creative in harassing them so that you can create an opportunity or wait for your jungler to gank.
Playing aggressively doesn't mean playing stupidly or brashly or impulsively. Your aggression needs to be calculated. Use your supports skillset to modify your strategy. With , you should farm while she harasses and zones, and commit when they get low enough for your combined burst to net a kill. With , zone the enemy with the threat of a guaranteed death, and when they overextend into your zone, capitalize. With , abuse the unlimited mana, and whittle your enemies down, and go in with silencing whoever to get a kill. With , you want to force trades after getting shielded, preferably landing a .
If you are playing passively or aggressively, you still need to focus on continuing to farm.Superior last hitting will earn you a gold advantage, that Ezreal desperately needs since he doesn't scale as well as other AD carries, especially in a passive lane. If you are playing aggressively, and getting kills, augment your income even further by last hitting everything. If you can't abuse your early game, farm, build properly and just outplay the enemy team.
Early game, you may have to contest a dragon or two. Poking before an engagement with is vital, since will be hitting like a truck.
A good benchmark for CS is 100 at 13 minutes. This includes going back to base, and dragon fights, and harassment. It's possible to be way above 100 at 13 minutes though.
If you can get an early red, do so.
Win Lane, Win Game
If you don't win your lane, better hope you get carried.
ABUSE YOUR EARLY GAME
It's pretty much the only thing Ezreal has going for him.
Mid GameMid game is your time to shine. You should still continue to farm, bot lane, the jungle, and even mid if its unattended, and your tower isn't threatened. You want to push towers with your team, push bot lane, group up for dragon, and if you're ahead force team fights. During standoffs, you should be poking with .
If you farmed well, even if you haven't gotten any kills, you should be able to 1v1 the opposing enemy AD carry, support, and even the AP mid depending on who it is, as long as you dodge the CC with .
Start finishing your build. People start buying armor about now. Consider delaying whatever item you're finishing in order to get a .
After team fights, and if you're alive, pursue objectives, whether its towers, dragon or baron.
Late GameLate game revolves around the base turrets, inhibitors, nexus and Baron. Builds are near complete or complete. Ezreal doesn't really have a steroid, and is now Mystic Shit. Consider selling for if your team needs the additional damage output, and if you can kite/survive without the utility.
As usual, poke before engagements, try to attack the most vital targets when it's safe to do so, and the tanks when it's not.
After a fight, if you won, take an objective, usually baron, or inhibitors. Dragon isn't as important anymore.
Team FightsYou're an AD carry. Initially, stand on the outskirt of the fight, using your to poke. Use to deal AoE damage to the enemy team. Fully commit after the initial burst and CC has gone out. You do no damage if you're dead. After all the CC's have been been blown attack the closest target if you can potentially be jumped, or the most optimal one within your range, with your autoattack, and not just like most Ezreals do. If that target is the tank, so be it. If you get jumped on by a tank or bruiser, away, preferably over a wall. Come back into the fight, and if you position yourself well, and have farmed well enough, you should win the fight.
Complete an objective if possible.
Rinse and repeat until victory.
Gameplay VideosTanOrange in the comments said all my videos were blue side (coincidence) and was winning because of the inherent advantage from double golems, and whoever I laned against either had a bad bot lane comp, or was bad, or both. If I'm purple side, I either help my jungler and damage wolves/blue, steal the enemy wraiths, or invade and harass them at their double golems. Anyways, a full solo queue game at 2k+ elo featuring Trixadien, on purple side, against what I'm going to say is a legit bot lane comp.
Taric/Ezreal VS Janna/Caitlyn. I know Norse (Janna) and Chunky (Lee Sin), and it does my soul some good to sit some team mates down. Against this bot lane I actually went 21/9/0 grabbing the defense and boots so I wouldn't take multiple pot shots going in to last hit, since I knew I was constantly going to be harassed and it would be difficult to engage and close the gap, and have a fight stick due to Caitlyn net and traps, and Janna's kit in general.
Some round one game from a tournament. The key thing this video highlights is properly using . Several times, I over the wall near tribrush or the blue tower wall, blowing several enemy 's over the course of laning phase. At one point instead of retreating straight back, I actually take a couple extra hits from and actually run to the wall and then jump over. Also the commentary from sp00kyboots is solid.
Fixed some grammar and punctuation and stuff that I noticed when glancing over it. Added changelog section, and more videos under a video section, specifically one that is purple side. Also, under the support section, discussed basic Soraka/Ezreal play and a corresponding video.
More random editing.
Random editing. Added a video to the mid game section
Added a lifesteal quint rune page to the runes section with additional comments and reasoning. Added an excerpt about to Soraka under the support section. Added a video under the gameplay videos section. Added preferred to standard ad carry/solo queue only to early game dominance/some explanation to utility build under item builds.
Added a video under the skills section showing how you can shift out of grab. Also added a video under the subsection under skills where DeJester gets WOMBO COMBOED
Done with school, diablo 3, etc. Going to start grinding out ELo and repairing the damage done by the decay. Changed summoner skills due to the heal nerfs as well as added a section where you can max W instead which I'll flesh out soon. Changed masteries to correspond with summoner changes. Change stream link
Changed skill order image from RQEW to RQWE as well as added another picture of QEW RWQE as well as some explanation and my personal thought on both skill orders.
Shameless Bump. Pulsefire Ezreal here
Changed the skill order to maxing first. You can still max first. All personal preference. Also added a section under about getting after it.
Fixed a mistake in the skill order section. Thanks to DeathKila for catching my mistake.
Updated skills section, specifically
With the changes, imo its better to max out Q again, and then E afterwards, leaving W at a one point wonder. Back to playing Ez pre chinese max. Updated skill order.
Back to W at 13
Changed stream location
Updated masteries for Season 3. Break just started so I'll spruce up the individual sections , particularly the item build and masteries sections. For now standard AD builds still work. Situationally you can sub in Frozen Fist instead of Triforce. Obviously if you get QSS upgrade to it Mercurial Scimitar at the very end. Furor is the best boot enchants for AD carries
Final CommentsI'll add videos and replays which I find are pretty necessary and help in learning as soon as lolrecorder lets me use all my old replays again, and soon as I can figure out how to upload them to youtube. Until then, I need to play and make new replays to post stuff :/ . I also need to figure out how to commentate over videos and what not.
If someone wants to help me edit videos, and teach me how to commentate over them and what not, much appreciated.
Going to add a lane matchup guide as well eventually.
If you have any criticisms, or questions, let me know in the comments, and I'll try to address them in a timely manner.
