Ahri - The AD carry - What is going on?
I have played Ahri as AD carry for around around 200 games now, and it works very good with her skillset, even though she dont have any "Steroids"
This guide i will explain my experience as Ahri the AD carry, and i hope more people will realize its not as bad as most people think.
MasteriesMasteries for AD ahri will be 21/9/0.
Some people might say the talent "harvoc" is good, but i dont see 1.5% damage increase as a big deal, then i prefer a bit more survivabillity in the defence tree, because ahri is very squishy, and have a very low base health, and that is why i go for a bit more health in the defensive tree.
RunesMarks - Flat AD runes works, gives a surprisingly good early game, you get ARP from masteries.
Seals - Flat armor - Works very good to trade damage in lane phase.
Glyph - Flat Magic resist
Quintessences - Flat AD - Better early game damage, easyer last hitting.
+13 Magic resist
ALot of AD. it give you very much control, and easy farming. You will dominate your lane.
Flash is absolutely necessary for any AD carry. used to survive gank & fights. In rare Situation its used to good positioning. Sometimes its used to secure a kill. You simply must have this spell.

Ignite is used to secure kills in early game, its very good in early game to get kills with E + Q + Ignite & auto attack, and if you got a taric or Alistar to support you, its almost a secure kill in laning phase. Note: If you have ulti, they cant run away from you. even their flash, is kinda useless, because you can even dive and flash back out. ( Beware of stun CC under tower )
Other Viable summoner spells to replace ignite is
Passive: Soul Eater
Ahri gains a charge of Soul Eater whenever one of her spells hits an enemy (max: 3 charges per spell). Upon reaching 9 charges, Ahri's next spell has 35% Spell Vamp.
Ahri passive is used for pure sustain in lane, it gives a good healing even though you have no AP. it has saved me before even when i play AD.
Q: Orb of Deception
Ahri throws out and pulls back her orb, dealing 40 / 65 / 90 / 115 / 140 (+33% of ability power) magic damage on the way out and 40 / 65 / 90 / 115 / 140 (+33% of ability power) true damage on the way back.
Cooldown: 7 seconds
Cost: 60/65/70/75/80 mana
This spell is brilliant for harrashing, it does truedamage and sometimes i max Q first, it almost clear a minion wave and its very good harrashment before you go in for a kill, great to poke with even as AD.
Ahri releases three fox-fires, which after a short delay lock on and attack nearby enemies (prioritizes champions), dealing 40 / 70 / 100 / 130 / 160 (+38% of ability power) magic damage. Additional fox-fires that hit the same target deal 50% damage, up to a maximum total damage of 80 / 140 / 200 / 260 / 320 (+75% of ability power).
Cooldown: 9 / 8 / 7 / 6 / 5 Seconds
Cost: 60 mana
This Ability is i use when i flee from people, or to secure farm last hits. It doesn't stop you from auto attacking, and that is why its not useless. You can use it in fights, but the damage is very small. But because it doesn't stop you from auto attack, you dont lose damage by useing it, but beware of your mana, she is many hungy, and if you are low on mana, its not worth it.
Ahri blows a kiss that deals 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 (+35% of ability power) magic damage to an enemy and charms it, causing them to walk harmlessly towards her for 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 seconds.
Cooldown: 12 Seconds
Cost: 50/65/80/951/110 Mana
The main skill for AD ahri, This ability is the reason ahri win all 1v1 fights against the other AD carry, or glass-cannon champs like tryndamere/master yi. a CC ability that makes your enemy go SLOWLY towards you. thats every AD carrys dream. you can charm people into tower range. you can charm people out of a 5v5 poke situation = a focused dead target.
R: Spirit Rush
Ahri dashes forward and fires essence bolts, damaging 3 nearby enemies (prioritizes champions) for 100 / 140 / 180 (+30% of ability power) magic damage per bolt. Spirit Rush can be cast up to three times before going on cooldown.
Ahri + gank = not gonna happen.
You cant gank ahri in the lane phase. You cant escape from her when ultimate is ready. you cant catch her when ultimate is ready.
The only 1 who can follow ahri when she ulti, is maybe leblanc. and if necessary, you got a flash to.
Remember: Ahri can jump trough some many walls with this ability.
Its used to positioning youself very good in teamfights, or catch people who run. You cant really focus AD ahri when she have ulti ready. if she dont get CC from 100-0% hp, you cant really kill her if played right.
You can use 1-2 charges to get away ( here people often turn back to the teamfight ) and then 1 charge to get back in range. and you still got flash to escape.
AD Skill order
It is very Situational, but in most fights before i start auto hit i use
If its going well for you, most people wont fight back after charm, but try to run. unless its a teamfight.
If they run, and are a possible kill to catch them, BUT remember you are AD. most damage come from auto attack, so auto attack between each charge used if possible. Your dont have a very long Cooldown, so you will probly be able to charm them again if they aint near a tower.
Against heavy melee like Olaf/shyvana/Skarner/renekton/tankplank.
Can be harder, but use to kite alot, kite is a keyword for playing AD ahri, when bruisers want you dead, you kite by jumping over possible walls with when they finaly get into melee range use
Remember makes them go even slower than your movement speed, so you can catch some range up again.
Item BuildsStart with
I found it out to be the best start on AD ahri, because of 2 reasons. At this point, most people dont realize you are AD.
and because i want to stay in lane and farm 2200 gold and go back to buy
Next item will be This item is worth more than it cost, after the patch where crit got removed from the masteries, you find youself much stronger with this item, and the movement speed + big boots will make you very fast so early in the game, and dont forget the attack speed, its easy to last hit with this item combined with
If everything goes good and smooth, get
At this point you should hurt alot, and you got some sustain from
If you dont get focused and dont have many problems, get another
If you have problems with high AP burst change 1 to

Other Viable items
Early GameIn personal i prefer a or support with me. and play offensive from lvl 2.
in lvl 1 in just farm in piece, use to harrash.
You just want to outfarm them passively, and if their support sit in their bush camping, ward it. It can give a free kill when if their AD carry is harrashed a bit back. and he stand in easy charm land + support CC.
If you fight against soraka, remember the heal gives a good armor buff. so force her to heal herself without useing CC. then immediately change target to their AD carry and CC him hard. Soraka is helpless for him and she can only use summoner spells to help.
If you fight against alistar, be sure to have bush warded ( support should do that ) dont let him sit in bush waiting for you to come out. make sure your support have on him if possible, and just because you are AD carry, dosent mean you cannot buy wards.
Buy a ward - Save a life
If you fight against Alistar/tristana be sure you have a huge advance when you fight them, its a very deadly combo, and their burst is huge from lvl 2. Use carefull, try to charm them under your tower if possible.
Mid GameMid game is very similar to early game, make sure to farm well, and dont overextend, dont make their junglers life easyer, its hard to get ganked on ahri when ultimate is ready. But dont test it if possible :)
harrash to around 60% hp, there you get go for an easy kill with charm + support help.
You want to make them pay for their misstake, and be aware of teamfights, and keep dragon warded. Try to get the dragon control, it can turn games to have a ward at dragon & baron.
Dont miss a teamfight for 10 more CS, its really not worth it :)
Late game Positioning is 90% of the ad carrys job. Dont get caught in random jungle, be sure there is warded baron & dragon. and get red buff for even more damage. Use klever to position youself good, remember to buy
Dont think you are tank, you are very squishy.
Team fights is about positioning for AD carry.
Sometimes you cant focus their AD carry/AP carry.
Dont dive in with to attack them their quishy if they have AoE ulti and whatever is going on. in many situations you cant get to their squishy, that dosent matter who you play ad AD carry, except maybe
Better to focus than get 2 auto hits off on enemy
Final CommentsIts a personal preference. But as support, i prefer
or . Because they have CC. Their CC + my is a very deadly combo.
Hardest counter to AD Ahri -
Ahri still rely on cooldowns, even as AD. Her is the abilitys i often use when i go for a kill.
That means Use hes ultimate on the 1 im going on, and im countered pretty hard.
Other hard oppenents is because of her spellshield. If she shield my it can be hard to kill her, but its not hard to prevent she shield charm.
Dont blame the Champions that is being builded diffrent before you have tryed it out youself.
Sometimes the meta is getting crossed. and i've done it with ahri.
