need matchup of Jarvarn IV vs Darius pls.

I don't know why people dislike this E change so much, I really like it, I was tired of my combo not going off because I smartcasted my E slightly out of range and therefore Q'd into nothing.

This guide has changed the way I see Jarvan in lane to the point where I cringe seeing what the "normal" Jarvan builds and does. I can no longer stand leveling E first as the damage of Q is ridiculous, and much easier to land. I no longer see Jarvan as just a plain tanky initiater that should just grab gold items and a ridiculous amount of health just for an Atmas, but as a beefy burst caster who can optimize for everything, being able to start fights, kill people, and survive to do again. I really thank you for this guide.

As for the E change, I didn't think it was going to be as bad as it was, as I would often screw up majorly by not dropping the standard in mid animation, and just dragon striking. Now I drop the standard way too close and don't make knock ups.

@ Tylertenneseen : It's great to hear how this guide has helped people so much. Getting two long swords is fine, I just personally prefer the extra bit of health and lifesteal. I think aslong as you get something aggressive with your first blood, you should be fine. Whenever I get first blooded and I see my opposing laner get something like philo stone, I just cringe. Also yes, the update on Jarvans E was dumb.

@ Levgre : This is because it's heavily reliant on how often you can hit your E-Q. I had to write out the matchups as to how the average player would perform.

Man awesome guide! I mained j4 and always did pretty well but this guide put me over the top. I am 100 times better now because of it. Now i saw you said you rearely vary from getting double dorans on first back. Since i started trying this build i usually just get 2 long swords or my brutalizer on FB. What do you think? Also the the new jarvan fix is insanely awful. The demacian standard being cast at max range instead of him walking to cast it where you want is jsut unbearable do somehting to make riot change it back!!

How is Jarvan a strong laner when he has hard matchups vs so many of the other popular top laners? Perhaps revise the difficulty ratings some, they give the impression that Jarvan is not really worth playing that much, yet you and other skilled players obviously think he is.

Really great guide helped me a lot with top.
