Hi Zakkery, do you want us to send hatemail to riot games balancing team? Those Rumble nerfs were totally unnecessary and hit Rumble way too hard. I've done the maths for a level 18 Rumble with 160 AP and his flamespitter actually deals about 100 damage less than before (pre-resists).
Iñm starting to play Rumble so i´m not the most indicated to make an objection, but... why Rilay´s so late?I mean, most of the guides put Rilay´s as the first item(legendary tier item i mean, normally after HG) on the build and i also find myself comfortable in midgame teamfights with the extra tankiness. So how this goes?
I can't thank you enough today I got my first penta kill because of this guide. after just learning how to rumble a couple of games in, I get a penta. This guide is amazing. Thank you so much
Man I LOVED THIS GUIDE! I love you aswell for making me play Rumble and even spendin money for a skin :) I've somewhat learned Rumble along the way and nowdays I just rape people in soloq. I really love how you can carry with Rumble even if your team is not doin as fine as youre :) Now Rumble is my favourite champion and I would like to thank you for all your time and effort you put into this guide. Have a nice day :)
As a Rumble main, no, the ult change barely did anything negative.
I saw it more as a buff considering that you have harpoons to help keep your opponent inside the ult more.
Timing and positioning are everything. Do not be too easily distraught about the changes. Just learn to adapt is all I can say.
What I would do is to avoid all in's with Riven from 100-0. She will out damage you just with her base damage. What you have to do in my experience is to keep on harassing her while avoiding her stun and her Q combo. Keep on poking her down, get ninja tabi or seekers armguard. If she tries to dash at you with her Q, hit her with your E and run away. When she backs off, IMMEDIATELY retaliate with your Q. Keep on repeating this process until she's around 45% to be safe. Then you can all in her provided you have at least 80% of your hp to be safe. Hit her with your E, throw your ult down, and shield then overheat with your Q and auto her. If you have ignite, try to put in on her at the beginning of your combo for the extra ap and ad. You just have to play passive and wear her down. Also, if you just can't avoid her damage combo, then I would suggest getting a lot of potions to sustain yourself in lane.
How do you guys manage to deal with Riven ? I was 0-0-1 and she was 0-1-0 at lvl 6, she just 100-0'd me with her ult. It has gotten to a point that I really consider running 40 armor runepage against this champ.
You can pretty much disregard the above comment. I carried myself to Diamond by playing pretty much only Rumble (post and pre nerf).
The nerf to the ulti doesn't amount to much, really. It's not as much of a deal as most people make it out to be. Obviously it takes away some of the duelling power in lane but honestly it doesn't matter.
Due to the fact that the dot starts ticking immediately it still functions as "impact damage", only less so, and you'd need to keep them in the ult for another 0.5s to break even. Nothing to cry about.
The ult is still a beast in team fights and can singlehandedly turn an entire game, especielly in the jungle.
Also no one seems to consider the fact that if someone steps into the ult after it's been cast, it does more damage than previously.
Rumble still sits on a win rate well above 52% and is pretty much PERMANENTLY banned or first picked in china/korea.
Ok, so I've played rumble about a dozen times since the nerf, and a few hundred before that.
It's bad.
Forget about going aggressive at level 6, you will have a harder time as your opponents ult is now an advantage compared to yours. It is very easy to get out of the ult in a small amount of time so you end up something like half of your regular damage, if that, it feels like you just grazed them with your flamethrower. Now the only way it helps you is if you bait them then force them to run away from your flamethrower into the ult, but that means you have to be stronger than them with just your flamethrower, or are under tower and theyre diving you.
As for snipe shots, those are gone as well, ive gotten one, probably someone afk while they b'ed. One. In 12 games. Usually I can pick up a few every game. Can't even kill your lane when they have 100 or less.
In teamfights the biggest disappointment comes. You no longer can do anything to your enemies adc. they just get out of it too fast, 15% will be lucky. Of course you can still do it in the jungle with perfect placement, but that is rare.
