Great guide +1 It could do with a little bit of clean up of sections/build suggestions that are no longer relevant that will make it easy for future readers to get current and up to date suggestions, other than that very comprehensive guide to the T1 King

Hey, as you seem to understand, Mobility boots are exceptionally strong during the early game as they allow you to catch people off-guard, I personally buy them right after the Spirit Stone.

In certain circumstances you can even build them before that, but I really like the +20% damage to monsters & hp/mana regen which is really good on a champion like Jarvan who can use both.

Hi! Just tested this guide and I cant believe the insane damage of the early game. I always played j4 as a full tank, 0/21/9 and ad quints. Going 21/9/0 full arp makes u feel the power on each skill haha, thanks for this guide!

I got a question about the mob boots. I started getting tier 1 boots, spirit stone, then brut, finished SOTAG and then the mob boots. I felt like it took me a lot of time to finish that and i couldnt make much use of them, when should I get them?

Hello there ! Glad you like the guide.

    1. Triforce is a decent second item if you're going damage. The only question is does your teamcomp and the enemy's allow you to build that way ?

    2. Hexdrinker isn't bad if you can afford it. TT also has much shorter games so Hexdrinker doesn't fall off as much as it does in SR where its upgrade is lackluster. I'd build Hexdrinker vs AP teamcomps when building damage and Aegis/RBW when going tanky.

Awesome guide. What I really favor is how much you go into details and explain everything thoroughly. I mostly play TT these days and got a couple of questions :)

    1.
If I get bruta early and snowball I sometimes get Sheen and build it into TF if I can get more kills and snowball harder. If not I get it later. I feel like for 1260 gold you can't get more damage if you are a ahead early especially pre 6 because getting more AD would only benefit your autos and Q and post 6 dunno ... I sometimes get TF nonetheless if they kinda mix armor and hp or are more on the squishy side so I won't rush botrk or more arpen. You think that's a good idea? Ever since Plazmuh played J4 with trinity I can't forget that item anymore :P

    2.
I really like hexdrinker on J4 and even get it if they only have one but bursty mage, because often I dive and the mage focuses me rather than my teammates and the shield helps. I get aegis most of the time as well but I feel hexdrinker isn't as bad on twisted treeline J4 as it is on SR?! If they have only one mage I keep aegis and upgrade it last if at all. Do you think wits end is worth it you have let's say singed top and some ap/hybrid bot with would benefit from you stealing some mr?

    Thanks for the fast reply!

I'll try to upgrade Bruta (or swap it for LW) only as my 6th item.
As for initiating, yeah unless me and my whole team are both very ahead, I get killed half the times I E+Q+E+R the enemy team, unless I Flash out, but I thought it's a part of the deal when playing such a manly champ ^_^

Hello there ! BC is an option but it is rather rare that I will build it.. I need to have gold, to feel tanky enough, and to have at least another AD champion in my team that's doing well (if I consider buying BC that most likely mean I'm doing fine).

LW outscales bruta lategame but it is very expensive, it is a rare purchase for me because I usually focus on getting tankier after my only damage item.. LW isn't bad but I almost never buy it. Similar to BC if you need more damage but the BC passive doesn't really benefit your team, then feel free to build LW.

As for Frozen Mallet.. I might add this item, it's pretty good for peeling for your carries or hunting enemy squishies (you're not going anywhere when someone keep you permaslowed with it). It's not unviable but also consider that when you get Randuins and its active on top of your E-Q & W combo makes your initiation really good, and sometimes a good engage is more valuable to your AD than trying to peel for him.

PS : I see many J4s that trap the enemy team with their ult which is usually a good thing but if you do that you will usually die unless you flash out, so you need to make sure that your certain death will be worth it (I.E. your team can kill more people).

You'll most of the time have to initiate (E-Q-W) but you can keep your R to peel, it is an excellent peeling tool. Also remember that you can't cancel your ult when you're cc'd (or dead? did they fix it?).

I'll make a rather large update soon anyway as I feel many champion matchups are rather inaccurate.

    Once again, great guide!

    A couple of questions:

After you've got your core items (like: Boots of Mobility/Tabi, Bruta, Aegis, SotAG, Bulwark upgrade, Warden's mail/Chain Vest) do you ever upgrade Bruta into BC? Because I've done it a couple of times, especially if my team was composed by many autoattackers/AD casters and I felt like it's worth the price.

Also, if the team is something like 2ble AP, is it ok to sell Bruta for LW? Because ofc you lose the CDR and even the nice health bonus BC would provide, but the few times I did that the E+Q+R combo felt so damn brutal, even the passive was hitting like a truck...

Finally, what's your opinion on Frozen Mallet as a 5th or 6th item? All in all quite an expensive for a jungler but it provides a good chunk of health, decent AD and above all the ability to peel and stick to targets. Sometimes I feel it's kinda redundant and overkill if I already have Randuin's but other times it feels very solid, especially against heavy-dive comps that go for the squishes in your team.

Hi ! Back from a little break.

    @ Tapobu : Thanks, I like the current's name though :P

@ mosquito : Thanks ! I'll add AS. But even if they're faster I would never take them.

@ ninjawerewulf : Thanks ! I'll add Jax and most likely rewrite quite a few champions matchup.. but yeah Jax is a pretty decent invader, especially against someone like J4 who isn't the best duelist. However Jax is a weak jungler as he needs too much gold to function.

Love the guide. I recently got trashed by a Jax who was counterjungling me. He wrecked me all game. Came into jungle at my red at lvl 2. Tried warding my jungle, but team would never come and help me when he was in there. Could you put something in your guide about him in the jungling section?
