Have you tried the Ice Born Gauntlet instead of the Frozen heart with the Manamune. I have not done the math but I have seen a huge burst increase with the combo. Plus, it helps with the slow for your CD to get in 2 more Q's for another E. Just wondered if you tried it.

@pandalok Nope. I play ryze with a more mana-scaling champion, and RoA give u ap also, but think about it. Banshees gives u the ability to complete negate a spell, and if u have Archangel's, Frozen Heart, WoTA,and DFG, your only defensive item is Frozen Heart, and u WILL need to have MR to deal with the enemy AP Carry, so Banshee's is superior. Besides, Ryze scales better with mana than ap, so all RoA gives is ap.
