I go by my IGN DontMashMe, but you may also know me as the "G Spamer in Solo queue". I did a
guide way back in season one, but that is currently outdated. I may choose to update it just for fun. However, at the moment I want to focus on Ez. I've been playing this game for 2 years now and have been on previous teams such as Curse, Complexity, and Mono. I subbed for TSM.EVO, formerly known as Epik Gamer at IPL4, and have recently joined TSM.EVO as their new AD carry. To contact me you can...

Introduction

is my flavor of the month AD carry due to his amazing lane dominance and outstanding poke. Ez can be played in solo queue and in 5s. It's also important to note that he is the most mobile AD carry out of all of them.Ezreal Base Stats:
Damage 47.2 (+3 / per level)
Attack speed 0.665 +2.8%/ per level)
Health 350 (+80 / per level)
Mana 235 (+45 / per level)
Move Speed 305
Armor 12 (+3.5 / per level)
MR 30 (+0 / per level)
Health Regen 5.5 (+0.55 / per level)
Mana Regen 7 (+0.65 / per level)
Pros
- Most Mobile AD Carry
- Long range poke
- Global ultimate
- Decent AoE for an AD carry
- Can 1v1 effectively if you max
Cons
- High risk/high reward (hitting skill shots)
- Low HP compared to other AD carries
- Mana problems can arise if not managed well
Masteries
![[http://i46.tinypic.com/330fs5h.png]](http://i46.tinypic.com/330fs5h.png)
Masteries are always personal preference--this is what I prefer and recommend, but you don't have to necessarily use what I use.
Offense Tree
3/3 Brute Force - gives +3 AD--what an AD carry needs.
1/1 Summoner's Wrath - gives +5 ad and ap when
is on CD.4/4 Alacrity - Gives 4% attack speed and also allows you to take a point in Weapon Expertise.
1/1 Weapon Expertise - +10% armor penetration is good throughout the game and goes well with
.4/4 Deadliness - An okay mastery that gives 0.5 AD per level and allows you to take a point in Lethality.
1/1 Lethality - +10% Critical Damage. Decent mastery as it allows slightly more damage when critting and synergizes with
.3/3 Vampirism - 3% lifesteal, decent mastery that contributes to your sustain when grabbing
and
.3/3 Sunder - Decent armor pen & synergizes with the armor penetration runes making +18 armor pen.
1/1 Executioner - Not the greatest mastery, but that 6% more damage can mean the difference between a kill every so often.
Utility Tree
1/1 Summoner's Insight - Lower CD on
.3/3 Expanded Mind - Mana per level is great on
.1/1 Improved - Those 7 second recalls can sometimes mean life or death!
3/3 Meditation - Best mastery for Ez as it allows him to spam.
1/1 Runic Affinity - Great for duration on holding your buffs.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why Vampirism over Havoc?
I feel 3% more lifesteal does a lot more than 1.5% more damage.
100 damage = 3 life per hit
or = 1.5 more damage
As an AD carry, you will build lifesteal and that is not the only lifesteal you will be getting.
+
+ Vampirism= 16% Lifesteal. Why improved recall over 1 point in swiftness or good hands?
0.5% movement speed doesn't change any type of game play and 4% reduced death timer is not worth it because you should try your best to not die anyways.
So, 1 second less of a recall timer means much more to me than the rest.
What masteries do I use if I want to play defensively?
A more defensive route for early game dominance.
Runes
![[http://i49.tinypic.com/2iasqdy.png]](http://i49.tinypic.com/2iasqdy.png)
Reds: I like to use armor penetration in an aggressive lane as it makes your
and auto attacks hit harder.Yellows: Armor is always generic for the bottom lane because you will more than likely face another AD carry unless you are getting cheesed.
Blues: Magic resist or magic resist per level depending on the early game match up. If you are against decent magic damage in the bottom lane, flat magic resist early is good and if not, magic resist per level is good.
You can also put 3-4 mana regeneration per level runes in the blues.
Quints: Attack damage is good for last hitting and some scaling attack damage into Ezreal's
and
.OR
![[http://i48.tinypic.com/334rqtc.png]](http://i48.tinypic.com/334rqtc.png)
+15 attack damage is great with a
lane or any passive lane.Blues: Same thing as above.
Summoner Spells
With this champ your choice in summoner spells can be pretty flexible, but you should take
100% of the time.
/
/
/ ![summoners/exhaust.png [summoners/exhaust.png]](guide/summoners/exhaust.png)
Cleanse is a great summoner spell to remove CC. One type of CC you cannot remove is suppression, which is Warwick's / Urgot's / Malzahar's ultimates. You can also remove summoner spell effects such as
and
(you only remove the damage portion of the ignite). Heal is an amazing summoner spell that allows you to bait and do strong trades. If the enemy over commits, you can pop this spell and turn the tides of the battle.
Ignite is just your general summoner spell to be offensive and kill your enemies. Great against sustain lanes.
Exhaust is situational, you can get it if no one on your team takes it. Great for shutting down carries.
Skills
![[http://i.imgur.com/z0gV8.jpg]](http://i.imgur.com/z0gV8.jpg)
Passive: Rising Spell ForceHitting a target with any of Ezreal's abilities increases his attack speed by 10% for 6 seconds (Max Stacks: 5).
Explanation:
A very strong passive that isn't really noticed. 50% attack speed is very strong during all phases of the game. An easy way to maintain these stacks is to
minions or enemy champions constantly. Also using your
while pushing. Another instant way to get all 5 stacks in a team fight is to hit your
.
Q: Mystic ShotEzreal fires a bolt of energy dealing 40 / 65 / 90 / 115 / 140 plus 110% of his attack damage and 20% of his ability power as physical damage (applies on-hit effects).
Ezreal's cooldowns are reduced by 1 second if Mystic Shot hits a target.
Cost 30
/ 35 / 40 / 45 / 50mana
Range 1000
Explanation:
This is what makes Ezreal. It is basically another auto attack, but much stronger. To make use of this skill you must auto attack -
- auto attack. Use your
right after your auto attacks in those scrimmages for tons of damages.
W: Essence FluxEzreal fires a wave of energy that damages all enemy champions it passes through for 75 / 125 / 175 / 225 / 275 (+60% of ability power). Affected ally and enemy champions have their attack speed respectively hasted or slowed by 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40% for 5 seconds.
Cost: 50 / 60 / 70 / 80 / 90 mana
Range 900
Explanation:
The most devastating skill that makes Ezreal impossible to 1v1 if you are playing any auto attack ranged carries or bruisers. The best part of maxing this skill is the magic damage. Reducing an enemy AD carry's attack speed for 5 seconds can make a huge impact on the fight. Also, hitting all your 4 of your teammates with it gives them a free recurve bow. It's a great spell overall while doing objectives.
E: Arcane ShiftEzreal teleports to a target nearby location and fires a homing arrow at the nearest enemy unit dealing 80 / 130 / 180 / 230 / 280 (+75% of ability power) magic damage.
Cost 90mana
TP Range 475
Arrow Range 750
Explanation:
In my opinion the best repositioning skill other than Kassadin's Riftwalk. It allows you to align your skills
![skills/ezreal/q.png [skills/ezreal/q.png]](guide/skills/ezreal/q.png)
![skills/ezreal/w.png [skills/ezreal/w.png]](guide/skills/ezreal/w.png)
.
R: Trueshot BarrageEzreal channels for 1 second to fire a barrage of missiles dealing 350 / 500 / 650 (+90% of ability power and +1 per bonus attack damage) magic damage to each unit it passes through. However, it deals 8% less damage for each unit it hits (Minimum 30%).
Cooldown 80 seconds
Cost 100 mana
Range Global
Explanation:
A global ultimate that can be used to clear creep waves, attempt to steal objectives such as red buff, blue buff, dragon, baron, and actually try to snipe someone globally. A great ultimate to start off the fight with.
Skill Order

Maxing EzrealR>W>Q>E
maxing dominates early game due to its easy skill shot poke. You can use it past creeps and it costs very little mana. It is easy to hit low range targets, especially
,
,
, and
.- It lowers the enemy champion's attack speed so much early game that it makes it hard for them to harass back. The only way they can harass you is if they use skills and at that rate you can actually run back or use your
to retreat after a poke. - It is best to use your
when they go in for last hits. - The only thing lacking when you max
is your long range poke. Later in the early-mid game, you won't be doing as much poke in a 5v5 scenario. However, you will dominate in 1v1s.

R>Q>E>W
Standard Ezreal
R>Q>E>W
Taking a point in
at level 4Poking with Ezreal is the standard way to play him. Maxing Q for maximum damage is the standard way people level his skills. The only problem with playing this way is that you won't be able to 1v1 as effectively compared to when you max
first. Your damage will be a lot stronger in the early-mid game phase. You can still max
after maxing your

Item Builds
May the Force Be With You

Rushing Trinity on
is very strong early game so long as you are dominating your lane. Every single stat and unique passive is useful with Ez.
- Attack Speed / Critical Strike / Movement Speed
- Mana / Ability Power / Unique Proc synergizes with Ezreal's ![skills/ezreal/q.png [skills/ezreal/q.png]](guide/skills/ezreal/q.png)
- The health / attack damage / slow also synergizes well with Ez overall. All of this makes
mobile, stronger, and tankier.I like to rush
if I feel like I have to be mobile and poke a lot.Regular AD Build

If you play attack damage carries a lot, you will recognize this build. It is just a standard auto attack build that does tons of damage.
![items/berserkers-greaves.png [items/berserkers-greaves.png]](guide/items/berserkers-greaves.png)
The best boots for an AD carry. More movement speed + attack speed.
![items/infinity-edge.png [items/infinity-edge.png]](guide/items/infinity-edge.png)
The biggest damage item in the game. The critical strikes allow for absurd bursts.
![items/phantom-dancer.png [items/phantom-dancer.png]](guide/items/phantom-dancer.png)
This item has the highest attack speed percentage in the game. This synergizes with
, allowing for more critical strikes and higher chances to get critical strikes. It also provides a decent amount of movement speed for kiting.![items/the-bloodthirster.png [items/the-bloodthirster.png]](guide/items/the-bloodthirster.png)
A great item to boost your damage if the enemy team does not have much armor. It grants large amounts of lifesteal. This will give you sustain as an ADC.
![items/last-whisper.png [items/last-whisper.png]](guide/items/last-whisper.png)
Last whisper is the armor shredder that allows you to still dish out the damage when the enemies have a large amount of armor.
is a great pick up when the enemy team is starting to reach above the 120~ armor mark.![items/quicksilver-sash.png [items/quicksilver-sash.png]](guide/items/quicksilver-sash.png)
One of my favorite items in the game. When the enemy team uses a strong supression or a CC that they think can pin you down, pop
and reposition with your
or
. You can then proceed to continue pooping on the enemy team.![items/guardian-angel.png [items/guardian-angel.png]](guide/items/guardian-angel.png)
Oh shit, you are the primary target during team fights. Oh crap, you're dying! HAHHAHAH, JK! You are back to life and all of their ultimates are down after blowing every single spell on you. Feel free to troll face as you get a penta kill.
![items/wriggles-lantern.png [items/wriggles-lantern.png]](guide/items/wriggles-lantern.png)
Great for forcing objectives like blue buff, red buff, dragon, and baron. You can easily solo dragon if you are not interrupted by the enemy team early game. It gives a decent amount of armor, attack damage, and lifesteal.
![items/executioners-calling.png [items/executioners-calling.png]](guide/items/executioners-calling.png)
Great buy for the critical strike and decent lifesteal it provides. I like to buy this when I am facing

Get it when:
- You know you are going to fight and group immediately.
- Need more burst damage than sustained damage.
- A lot more autoing than actually poking.
![items/the-bloodthirster.png [items/the-bloodthirster.png]](guide/items/the-bloodthirster.png)
Get it when:
- Laning phase will be dragged out to obtain stacks.
- More sustained damage.
- Poking and taking down towers faster.
Tips and Tricks
I took this from LoLPro because the
guide used to be mine in the past, but since I am no longer on Crs, it now belongs to Cop. I guess you can credit him, but the tips and tricks section was originally written by me.
guide used to be mine in the past, but since I am no longer on Crs, it now belongs to Cop. I guess you can credit him, but the tips and tricks section was originally written by me.Checking Brush With
![skills/ezreal/q.png [skills/ezreal/q.png]](guide/skills/ezreal/q.png)
You should never facecheck as Ez. You should be using your Mystic Shot (Q) or even Essence Flux (W) to check if any gankers are there to kill you. This is a great tactic for bottom lane because it is here where the jungler generally tries their best to get you. Even a strong bottom lane support like
can attempt to kill you.Hopping Through Walls
As
, repositioning yourself through walls is the best way to reposition most of the time since it will give the enemy a harder time trying to kill you. Double flashing through two walls will give them an even harder time trying to persue you and will often guarantee your escape.Maintaining
StacksMaintaining them is very good because when you want to engage your target, you will attack much faster, doing more DPS and killing your target at a quicker rate. Also, when you are tower pushing, it really does help to keep up with your stacks. A great way to maintain them while attacking the tower is to
creeps, heroes(backing off when doing it, so you don't get tower aggro), and neutral monsters. Use
on your allies,
when there are no enemies nearby, and
the incoming or current creep wave.Aligning Your Skillshots
The best way to align your skill shots is using
. It will help you align them much more quickly and effectively. Use
to shift to the side to give you a better angle to hit your enemies with
.
into a straight spot to hit all of your enemies. I love repositioning myself when enemies target you because it leaves them wide open to take everything in the face.
Early Game
While playing Ez in the bot lane, you want to head to your lane EARLY. If you are on the blue side, TRY to get the double golems. If you are on the purple side, help your jungler out a bit leashing blue. In lane you want to HOLD on to leveling your skills. If they have an aggressive lane like ![champ/blitzcrank.png [champ/blitzcrank.png]](guide/champ/blitzcrank.png)
and they engage you, leveling up your
is a wise choice. Otherwise, you can generally start
for easy last hitting and poking. As you start hitting level 4 you should have 1 level in
, 2 levels in
, and 1 level in
. This is where you start spamming your
and harass them constantly. If they try trading with you, trade back with your support. At this rate you are stronger than them because you have lowered their attack speed and yours is much higher--especially with your
. If they make the mistake of trying to fully harass you back, make sure you punish them for it.Level 6-7, now you have a stronger nuke and a stronger
. The killing potential rises up higher here. Your
is a very strong tool, use it wisely.
Mid Game
Dragon fights and buff control fights happen around the early to mid game. In these kinds of scenarios...1. You must be healthy at ALL TIMES.
2. Buy when you NEED to buy, not WANT to buy. (Like buy 1 minute before dragon spawns or the buff spawns.)
3. Shove out your lane (Don't use your
, save it for the fight!)4. Group with your team and FIGHT.
After there are no objectives on the map you will more likely have 3 situations. These being that you are dominating, even, or losing.
In the dominating situation, you want to try your best and zone the enemy laner. This could be done by freezing the lane on your side of the river or simply shoving and harassing constantly. Force objectives, take towers when necessary, and group.
In the even situation, try to call for good ganks and DO NOT DIE. This is worst time for you to die and it can put you behind. If you have kill potential go for it! Otherwise be careful! Just CS safely and ward around if you can't pull off the gank.
In the behind situation, do your best to CS. Try not to take free harass, play passive as you are not stronger than the enemy team. Try to get your jungler to help you out here and there. Even your mid laner can help you out sometimes. So, overall, just CS and don't die.
Late Game / Team Fighting
Late game
is one of the most mobile AD carries in the game. You must be the last person to die on your team as Ezreal--or at the very least the second person to die. If you die, you do no damage in the fight and if you do no damage in the fight, you are rendered useless. In team fights, you should be in the back 90% of the time. Like I said previously, you should be the last person to die. If a legit teamfight goes down and no one is generally caught out. Most of the time you will have to shred through the bruisers and tanks first before you actually get to the carries. The majority of team fights will turn out as follows--the front line (bruisers tanks) will go for the carries in the backline(ad / ap). Positioning is key here as an AD carry. You must be able to analyze all 10 champions' positioning.
Farm accordingly when there aren't any objectives. When baron is up, farm near baron but don't risk losing it. If the enemy team sees you, the ADC, in the bot lane...well, they'll go for baron and it will be your fault if your team doesn't get it.
Final Comments
I hope you guys learned or took something from this guide. A majority of this guide is based off my opinions--except the
--as the players from Asia started using that strategy long before I did. Finally, thank you for viewing my first guide with TSM.Evo. I will be streaming very soon! Please, remember to follow me on Twitter or like me on Facebook. The links are provided in the introduction :)

Ezreal is just so mobile, you dont even need to buy tier 2 boots asap. Depends on the team and your support though.
