I think you kinda underestimate katarina, against most kats that use shunpo to last hit and don't farm with W, just build tanky dps and smash their faces on the keyboards(95% of players at least), ryze is really good against.But smart players overall save their mobility spells to escape, smart kats play safe and jump on you when you are vulnerable/waste an important spell randomly.Even when she doesn't snowball, a smart player can make kat shine.If you want to see what I'm talking about, check tiensinoakuma's games...

what are your thoughts on Nunu matchups. Tanks most of your early game damage and then just heals it all back. He doesnt seem to have any mana problems and if im not mistaken his e range is greater then all of ryze's.

Hello Nukemung. I tried the jungle ryze, just like you dared us readers to. It work well at lower part of plat and down. yet to try it at higher leagues then this.
