My Name is Brasilisk I play on EUW and I'am currently at 1904 elo.
This is my first real guide the other one was just a test. English is not my mother tounge so when you found anything what isn't correct you can write it in the Comments would be nice :). I play LoL now over 2500 Games and I even now have so much fun playing it with friends or alone. Jax is one of my favorite Champions because when you play him right you can carry the sh*t out of your team! YEA you heart right even in goddamn F*cking SoloQ.

MasteriesYou won't ever go 21:9:0 or 9:0:21 on Jax it is a fact because it gives you the most advantages. I dont know why it is like that ask riot why they did it like that.
When you play against Magic dmg Opponents. So why I said magic dmg Opponents and not AP Caster ? Well
Some People dont know that for example that Udyr or Yorick do more Magic dmg With their Skills than Physical dmg. While all know that Rumble or Cho'gath do more magic than physical dmg.
The 3% Movement-Speed Masteries are good when you chase low hp enemies to are able to jump on them with your Q. But watchout it just works when you are at 70% hp or higher.
The Cooldown at lvl 18 Masteries increases your Damage out put and your survivability more than the Masteries that increases our Damage output by 1,5 % and reduces damage taken by 1,5 %.
The two points in Tough Skin allows you to be stronger in trades cause you will be always get attacked from minions when you attack the enemy. Same with Indomitable but this Masterie also reduces the dmg from autoattacks ( OP ).
RunesI would always use this Masteries on him with the AD reds and Quints you boost you increase your output dmg alot and it works well with his pretty high Base attack dmg ( which is 60 ) that means you got 78 AD at lvl 1!!! and when you use ignite early you got even more AD ( 83!! ) + 5 AP why ? Because we skilled Summoners Wrath in the Masteries. 13 Amor and 12 Magic resist pretty standard ( to be more tanky early and to escape ganks earlier.
You take ignite to have kill pressure in the early game so the enemy wont stay with 300 hp in lane because he knows you have ignite. Also it gives you +5 ad and ap when on CD. Mid and Late Game it is not so usefull anymore unless a enemy would get away with 100 hp OR there is a Soraka / Swain Mundo on the enemy team it is also good against Morde Vlad and Yorick.
Flash can be used to escape, by Flashing away from an Enemy Champion just straightforward to escape or over Terrain to escape safely. You can also use Flash aggressively to force a fight on an Enemy Champion or to get a last hit on an Enemy Champion. It's just a great spell on jax because the Q so you can basically double Jump.
You really dont need this Spell unless enemies have a team like : Leona Nautilus Cho'gath Zyra Varus comp :D.
You can take ghost when you think your Q is enough to get away from ganks and etc. But I generally like flash more because you are saver from early ganks I dont think ghost is a big help. Sometimes you are probably able to jump on a minion when the Jungler ganks But I feel much more saver with double Jump. and you cannot retreat over terrain with ghost :d.
You can take this when you want that global pressure over the whole map. But I wouldn't reccomend this on Jax because of the fact that you want to farm as much as possible because when you get your items in late game you are almost unstoppable.
This is usefull when you are against Kennen top or an AD carry when you exhaust kennen while he ults in will decrease his damage output by alot, it also works against other Strong AoE AP caster as Morgana or swain and Morde. When the enemy AD carry is fed this also a very usefull pick. So generally Ignite is better early Game and exhaust better in Teamfights / Late game.5
Well you have low mana costs its like you dont go out of mana in lane. You really dont need this trust me it is just not as usefull as other Summoner Spells.
Well I have to say I like Heal alot because of the fasct that you can tournaround a fight or bait like a boss. But since most Top Laner have ignite it it not as usefull as it could be.
Good for splitpushing and getting farm while you are AFK.

Passive: Equipment Mastery
Jax's prowess with weapons and armor increase his fortitude as he gains equipment. Jax gains 3 health per point of Attack Damage and 2 health per point of Ability Power received from items.
His "new" pasive is part of the old ultimate. Now it gives you attackspeed every autoattack until to the cap of 6. This pasive is one of the reasons why Jax is the duell king and one of the( or the ) Strongest Champions in longer fights.
Q: Leap Strike
Jax leaps towards a target. If it's an enemy, he attacks it and deals an additional 20/45/70/95/120 (+100% of attack damage) (+70% of ability power) magic damage.
Cooldown 13 / 11 / 9 / 7 / 5 seconds
Cost 65 mana
This pasive is generally a flash which does dmg and you can use all 8 sec. Well you need a Ward, Champion or Minion to Jump but still very very usefull skill. You can level up this against range after
So you can poke alot stronger. And it is always nice to Jump over the Map like a idiot.
Jax charges his weapon with energy, causing his next attack to deal 60/95/130/165/200 (+40% ap and 40% bonus ad) bonus magic damage.
Cooldown 5 seconds
Cost 60 mana
Very good for harrasing in lane you can poke your enemy with that every time when he goes to a minion to last hit it. And it cancels the attack animation means when you make a autoattack and use W immediately you do 2 autoattacks in the time of one. This is your Main gamage skill in fights and in lane and you can stayk this together with the 3rd bonus attack of your ultimate.
E: Counter Strike
Jax dodges all incoming basic attacks for 2 seconds and reduces AoE damage by 25% while he is dodging. At the end of the duration, Jax deals 40 / 70 / 100 / 120 / 160 (+80% of bonus attack damage) physical damage to nearby enemies and stuns them for 1 second. This spell deals 20% (up to a maximum of 100%) increased damage for each attack dodged. Jax has the option to activate the ability again after 1 second to end the effect early.
Cooldown 22 / 20 / 18 / 16 / 14 seconds
Cost 70 / 75 / 80 / 85 / 90 mana
This skill is very usefull in Teamfights because Autoattacks cant simply damage you ( one of the reasons why jax is THE counter vs AD ). In Lane it increases your dmg output when you fight in enemy Minions because they will load the damage of the Stun to the cap.
R: Relentless Assault
(passive) Jax's basic attacks increase his attack speed by 6 / 10 / 14% for a short duration, and hitting the same unit 2 consecutive times enhances Jax's next attack for 140 / 170 / 210 (+70% of ability power) bonus magic damage. Attack speed stacks up to 10 times.
(active) Jax gains 25/35/45 (+30% of his bonus attack damage) armor and 25/35/45 (+20% of his ability power) magic resist for 8 seconds
Cooldown 80 seconds
Cost 100 mana
Doesnt give you attack speed anymore but still one of the best ultimates in the game. your 3rd Duelling Skill. When you attack minions twice so your next autoattack does more dmg you can jump on the enemy and use W so you have the 3rd strike from your ultimate and W in one autoattack which quite hurts alot. use this skill in teamfights before you jump on the enemy AD carry so you get much less dmg.

Why do you do that ?
you max W first because you can easily poke your enemy everytime he goes for a last hit so he get's lower and lower time to time when that happens he doesnt get all last hits anymore because he is feared that you will poke him again so you get more CS simply with pressing W and knowing how to last hit.
Now to the difficult part:
Ok Guys, I would max Q second if you are against range to deal more poke dmg when jumping out of bushes.
I wouldn't recommend to take Q second vs. meele champions simply cause of the fact that it scales with ap and ad so its better when you have a early gunblade what we build as 4th item.
Advantages from Q : you can simply jump more often to minions wards or people and chase or retreat better it's very usefull to juke enemies LIKE A BAUS!.
Advantages from E : E is alot better in mid game teamfights because you will be able to stun the whole enemy team twice and not once.
Q will deal more dmg and E has a better utility take your pick.
I almost never buy them because I dont feel fast enough when the jungler ganks or something. But if you dont think so you can buy this vs. Riven,Renekton,Lee and Gangplank.
Simply the best <3.
( Depends on the enemy team if you fight for example vs. a Chogath Top and a Skarner Jungle I would always buy Mercruys because of the heavy CC. But if you fight vs a Renekton Top and a Lee Jungle I would buy Ninja tabi because it reduces Damage from Basics attacks by 10 % which is quite alot and when the Top Laner and the Jungler are autoattackr dont forget about the AD carry who is one aswell )
Dorans just gives you the best all around stats. WIth Phage and Bilgewater-cutlass you can easily jump on your enemie activate bilgewater stun him attack him 2-3 Times and slow him with Phage procs. You can also sustain yourself easily with 21% lifesteal. with this Item you can duell with almost every Champion. But dont build Gunblade yet you will need HP and armor first to dont die like paper.
this item synergizes perfectly with jax it's like it was made for him. Slow, HP , DMG , AP , Attackspeed , Mana , Movementspeed , Crit. Buy this before GA and Warmorg's it will more than enough dmg than you need before gunblade.
This Item can be Game breaking. JUST JUMP IN LIKE A RETARD NEVER DIE ALWAYS WIN!
You can build this for same reasons why you take cleanse just vs a Leona Nautilus Cho'gath Zyra Varus comp :).
Buy one of these when the enemy AD carry is fed it will make him cry.
This Item is OP and riot knows that they should nerf it Mana CDR and Armor works on nearly every champion + enemies attack 20 % slower = OP
No really this item works quite well on jax Because you can spam all abilities
Trinity is better but this makes you more tanky if your team doesnt have one.
You can buy this items when your Midlane buys it. The spellvamp is very nice and it helps your team.
HP is good on Jax because his ult gives him armor + MR so when you have Warmorg and Guardian Angel and activate your ult you can tank all the dmg.
You can buy this vs. double ap comps and never die to their burst again.
Sometimes you will need The Movement Speed or the HP Regen vs Poke Comps like Nida Jayce.

Bitchslap enemies like a baus
DONT buy attackspeed on the new Jax anymore it's just not as good as before anymore.
My Average Gold with Jax in ranked games is about 10.000 Gold ( per Game )
and Together Costs 9770 Gold that means you wont even get past the first 4 items most of the time but you dont even need more Items to be one of the strongest champions :).
Hard MatchupsI wouldn't pick Jax against this 6 Champions
He can outrange you in Lane means that you aren't able to farm so well and when you jump on him to duell him he can easily knockback you when you are still in the air ( OP ). And the Poke with his E Q just breaks you the neck.
His attackspeed slow makes your farming hard and you can't kill him unless he is a idiot. He also outscales you in late because his ult is OP and can hit your whole team. Maybe you are able to keep up your farming to go for lategame or maybe even to zone him. I would just ban him.
You can win against him when you stay in brushes when he uses his ghouls and just come out to farm dont let him push the lane try to push it yourself so he cant simply spam ghouls on you when you are under your Turret and have to farm. Try to farm Maybe he can't Harras and farm so well at the same time this is youe chance!
He can outpoke and outsustain you he should win unless he is a retard. Vlad wouldn't be as gay when he would be less strong in teamfights but he is one of the best teamfighter. Try to farm and push the lane as far as possible. When you level up your Q instead of E after W you can try to go in bushes and poke him with your W Q combo all the time. Then Maybe you are able to kill him.
Pretty same as Vladimir he can poke from far. Take Exhaust vs. him so his ult isn't as strong in fights
you maybe can duell him when he comes to close to you with his ult active. Try to farm but dont let you get to much poked otherwise he maybe will dive you try to push the lane as far as possible.
Kayle's early game dmg is to high to farm try to get a early gank from your jungler or just dont pick jax against her. Maybe you can bait her to duell you in meele range that would be elpfull because noone can duell jax :p but dont let you get baited when she is low life and still has her ult up.
Easy MatchupsYou should beat the shit out of all enemies they are full AD ( a good renekton can beat you ) because your and your duell power noone of the following champions can't really trade with you after lvl 6 unless they are much better than you.
You can jump on him after he used his Q. Be carefull when he get's level 6 before you and ask your Jungler if he can gank him should be a easy kill. The trick against Darius is to gont go aggresive early and try to dodge as much Q's as possible so he will get out of mana time to time and your jungler can gank easy cuz he is pushing the lane.
dont underestimate her burst and dont dive her unless you are sure to get her. SHould be a easy matchup because she cant trade with you and you simply can use to dodge all of her dmg from the ultimate.
Gangplank has no real duell power dont let you get poked get some armor and lifesteal and this should be easy.
When she simply activates W and jumps on you, you use your she hasn't really dmg after her W is on CD. When she is very good she can beat you in Lane but you outscale her late.
Same thing as with Gangplank get some armor and lifesteal and dont let you get poked to much immediately tell Miss when he leaves your Lane so your Midlanes knows that he can use his ult in mid.
He cant trade or even duell you after 6.
When he is stupid enough to jump on you like a retard use and bitchslap him till he cries and runs at home. But watchout he can roam very easy with his ult so same thing as with pantheon call Miss and ping.
try to harras him with your every time he goes for a last hit so you should be able to poke him enough. When he is stupid enough to trade with you dont run away kill him.
Udyr does quite good dmg with his Tiger stance watchout his Q does magic dmg so dont buy to much armor.
When he activates Q and walks up to you use E after his Q he doesnt really have enough dmg to trade you.
When he does his E Q Combo dont let him simply get away with his stealth follow him and jump on him with your stun you should be able to outtrade him otherwise you can activate your stun when he jumps on you when you are good enugh to know where he is walking.
again the same but Xin is a good dueller. Dont overextend when he dashes at you use E and poke him with W but dont chase him after that.
All other Matchups that I didnÄt listen here or as counterpick should be skill depentend. For example some Jax player have problems against
while I never lost against him.
NOTE: Generally you should win against autoattackers and have some harder times against caster like:
Warding is one of the most important things in League of Legends you will do it form early game over mid game until end game. When you saw some Tournament games you should have realized that there are always 3 wards on the map from every team. Easiest rule to dont forget warding is to buy 2 wards on every recall.
Ok guys thats the map around the Baron pit When you are on the Blue side ( South ) you should ward where the yellow point is in the tribush so you can always see when he comes from his jungle and want to do al lane gank or a normal gank.
When you are on the purple Side you should ward where the red point is so you cann see when he comes from the blue buff or from the river .
MAP AWARENESS :
My trick to have a got Map Awareness is to look on the Minimap everytime I did a last hit. That means
every 3-5 seconds you look atleast once on the minimap so the Jungler has no real chance to gank you without you knowing it. When you see someone on the Minimap who is not on his lane or the jungler then you ping him so your allies know whats happening.
MINIONS : HERE IS SOME BASIC INFORMATION
The blue and purple team minions spawn every 30 seconds from the Nexus in order to support the champions. Minions begin spawning 1 minute 30 seconds after the game has begun. Every 3 minutes the minion waves will grow stronger, with every type of minion gaining different stats. Minions deal 50% more damage to turrets than they do to champions and other minions.
Minions have an "Upgrade Cycle" that activates every 3 minutes. Despite spawning only at 1:30 the cycle already begins at 0:00. Meaning that after 3 minion waves a minion's power and gold worth is already higher than the first 3 waves.
HOW MINIONS KNOW WHAT TO AGGRO :
Every few seconds, they will scan the area around them for the highest priority target.
When a minion receives a call for help from an ally, it will evaluate its current target in relation to the target designated by the call. It will switch its attack to the new target if and only if the new target is of a higher priority than their current target.
Minions prioritize targets in the following order:
1. An enemy champion designated by a call for help from an allied champion.
2. An enemy minion designated by a call for help from an allied champion.
3. An enemy minion designated by a call for help from an allied minion.
4. An enemy turret designated by a call for help from an allied minion.
5. An enemy champion designated by a call for help from an allied minion.
6. The closest enemy minion.
7. The closest enemy champion.
HOW MUCH GOLD ARE MINIONS WORTH ?
Test yourself; how many minions can you get by the 10 minute mark in the game? Most of the pro players will be at a 85-95% Minion kill count. The difference between the actual percentage and 100% should account for being zoned, ganked and having to return to tower.
Take a look at the spreadsheet, you will also notice how much gold you will have by killing minions. If you are 100 creep score over your opponent, you will be approximately 2,500 gold richer than them. You can now see why Minion Killing is vital to pro-game play.
LAST HITTING / PUSHING
You can either using basics attack to last hit or using your spells to kill the wave ( pushing ).
When you want to kill them with your autoattacks ( 80% of the time ) you should wait until the minion loses about 1/8 of his max. HP then you can finish him off savely.
Dont attack him to early or to late that will lose you much gold. The most importast rule is it to have experience in last hitting do one or 2 Custom games where you just wanna try to get ALL minions. Important aswell is last hitting under the turret:
Caster Minions need: Autoattack -> Turret shot -> Autoattack
Melee Minions need: Turret shot -> Turret shot -> Autoattack ( when you AD is lower sometimes 2x)
MAP CONTROLL :
Everytime you and your Team destroy a Turret your Team gets more space and more Map Controll. For Example when your Team destroyed all Turrets which are NOT in the Base ( 6 ) you have alot more control over the enemy Jungle than before. Now you can easily Take their buffs and neutral monster camps. You also have alot more Control over Drake and Baron because the enemy has to decide do we defend the Turret or do we attack them at Baron.
NOTE : There are always retards who go back to kill 10 minions just because they attack the Turret when the enemy is doing the Baron in 30 min.
WHEN TO PUSH IN LANE ?
when you are Vladimir top and have a Ward you always want to push the lane so you can harras the enemy while he has to last hit otherwise he will fall behind in this time you can poke him all the time he comes to last hit a minion without getting aggro from his minions. When you play as Melee vs. Range
You have to push the lane so when the enemy Vladimir pokes you with his Q your minions attack him and you dont lose the trade.
WHAT IS FREEZING AND HOW CAN I DO IT?
Freezing means that the Minions will always stay at one point and dont move forwards or backwards the advantage for you is simple you can last hit and their jungler cant gank you while your lane opponent has hard times to last hit because he to go very far out of the range from his tower, so your Jungler should be able to gank him easily.
How to freeze the lane ? To freeze your lane you have to make sure that there are more enemy minions than your minions for example when your lane opponent is pushing the lane. There should be atleast 3 Minions more than in your wave --- > Your Wave dies while 3 Minions from the enemy wave are still living and now you dont let them walk to your tower that means you tank the minions before they get in the range of your turret.
So when the next enemy waves comes they have again 3 more Minions that your wave.
HOW TO BREAK A FREEZING LANE:
When your enemy freezes the lane you have to break the freezing lane as fast as possible I explain you guys now how you can do that it's pretty simple.
Your enemy has frzoen the lane now you just kill the enemy minions as fast as possible that means your lane opponent is tanking all the minions dmg now you simply autoattack him or use some abilities on him and he cant trade you cuz he is tanking the minions now he has to retreat to his turret and your miunions will get killed by it now the Lane should be neutral again.
When you are in disadvantage in Lane and your lane opponent freezes the lane you shouldn't be able to trade him so you call your jungle if he can hlep you otherwise you aren't really able to last hit.
HOW TO NEVER GET JUKED:
Everyone know's it to get juked / outplayed isn't funny it makes you feel bad.
Nest time you chasing a enemy champion and he walks in a bush just press "A" + left click in the bush your champion will now follow the enemy immediately and dont waste time walking in the direction you clicked.
how to improve your attitude in ranked'sYea everyone knows it ranked suck there will be always anyone who is flaming raging or even leaving. I will help you now how to improve your attitude that also means it increases your win ratio.
1. Stay cool it doesnt help when you go in queue when you lost 5 games in a row and now just do one game after another and losing and losing and losing. Do Breaks after lost games.
2. When anyone does a mistake tell him in a FRIENDLY way what he is doing wrong. I know sometimes you are to angry to do so but when you dont tell him he will probably doing it again and when you are even flaming him he will probably get mad and dont want to play anymore or helps the enemy team.
3. It helps to play DuoQ because you can laugh together about mistakes and you cannot have 4 retards in your team.
4. when you died once or twice in lane dont give up stay cool, look at your possibilities the enemy will probably get greedy.
5. You are always able to tournaround a game everyone know's it and had atleast once of this games where you thought you dont have any chance anymore but then stole a baron and came back to the game or something. I won 4vs5 Games and lost 5v4 Games there is always a way.
6. When you are loosing the lane ask your jungler in a friendly way if he can come top to help you comming back into the game. Dont flame him when the enemy jungler is top more often than him. Say it him so that he can improve himself.
7. Someone is flaming YOU there are many reasons you died, they dont like your pick whatever. The best thing you can do is to ignore what they are saying and to dont get mad. Dont answer to them because that will just start a discussing even if they are wrong. I know its hard but it will increase your win ratio.

Try to farm as much as possible stay cool dont overextend have in mind that the jungler always can be around and do a early gank ( about 2:10 min ) a double buff gank ( about 3:10 - 3:45 ) look at the minimap and when you see the jungler is bot for example you can engage without being feared from the Jungler.
And when the jungler ganks you ping him so Your team knows that he is top. Just flash for a kill when you know 100 % that you get him otherwise your opponent will tell it the jungler and gank you all day.
Once you hit lvl 6 you can do your WOMBO COMBO
Q -> E -> W + 3rd hit from ult.

Mid GameYou should always stay in Lane and farm all day long like a boss. Unless your Team needs your help really hard for example the enemy team is pushing mid as 5. Because when you get really good farm and you have about 3 Items you can just Jump on the enemy AD carry like a retard and still live like a baus.
You should be able to outfarm your enemy most of the time that means you can duell him 1on1 easily and that means you can push the turret cause he will go and try to get minions in the Jungle or roam at other lanes.
Always call when the enemy is missing and ping to be carefull to make sure they know what's going on. Otherwise they will blame you. So first rule with jax is to get as much farm as possible... but dont let your team die bro.
Late GameLate Game Jax is a beast he is one of the strongest champs late game or THE strongest noone can duell you at this stage unless he has like 35:3 or something you are tanky enough to block the most dmg in teamfights and still sustain you up again with your lifesteal / spellvamp. you should be able to take down the AD carry easy when you are good maybe both AD and AP carry when that happens the Teamfight should be won unless you play with full retards.

With a champ with jax in the Team you can do a early Baron cause of your high sustain and your constant dmg output.
NOTE: you can dodge Baron's autoattacks with E.
Go for objectives late-game when your team getting caught and you doing red buff cause you thinks its important in the end game your Team will probably lose because of a single mistake.
So walk with your team and the most important DO OBJECTIVES that means Baron/Drake/Turrets.
Its not enough to simply kill them to win a game in LoL.
NOTE : when the enemy is doing Drake or Baron it's not worth walking in to sucuide unless you have smite and know that you have a chance to steal it try to poke when they get low you can engage.
REMEMBER: Baron will always attack the closest target so he can decide which teams wins and which team loses in the Baron pit.
