MX, recently I discovered something that'd probably be more effective in a hybrid standpoint.
Manamune on Kayle stacks relatively fast. I toyed around with it, and am going to remove mentioning it from my guide because it's not really what my guide is about, and I figured I'd bring it up to you as an interesting item.
100 magical added each E and Q, and it stacks pretty quickly.

The thing about Zephyr... lets put it this way - if you plan on going late game, the best DPS item would be Infinity Edge, and Statik scales a lot more with it than Zephyr.
If, however, you expect the game to end before 6 items, you might get a Zephyr, since by itself it is a better item than Statik.
I'd be interested to hear your opinion on Zephyr in place of static shiv. I'd say there are enough similarities to warrant comparison. As i see it, you pay 350 gold for 10% AS, 20AD, 4% MS, 10% CDR(which would put you right at 40% with NT and Runes/Masteries), and 35% Tenacity. You do lose 20% Crit and a great passive in exchange. Just a thought.
APkayle with LB+RD is crazy vs squishy teams. :)

NT+Liandry is a safer version of APkayle for more pokefights. You cant burst like other builds, but you are good for pokefights, you have more HP and you can spam your skills more often. Thats why SSong builds DFG later, so he can burst in a fight and still poke, but thats another story.
I dont know where, but I have a mistake in my calc and I dont know where. Trying to find it, but its hard.
The spreadsheet is for calculating the DPS and Burst-gain by new items. Rabadons, Spellblade, onhit, %dmg, DFG, IEbonus, spellblademasterie and other stuff are rdy and okay for every formula, but I dont know, the data cant be correct.
I hope that I will find the damn error and can give you the correct data, MXSteel. ;)
Eh. I'm not a fan of the AP Kayle. She just doesn't do that much damage. Especially in early stages, where if you build AD she can easily turn and out dps pretty much any carry or top. The only benefit I see with AP Kayle is she gets a quick boost in attack speed early on. Other than that, she's just not that much of a threat. I think AP Kayle is only really viable as a support.

I play with 15/0/15 because they gank me damn often while earlygame...
The 60s ward and the 25g for boots/2pots/1ward are very good. +60s ward for red or other situations and the beacon are a good advantage.
If you wanna play with flask as startitem, 21/x/x should be better, but I wanna abuse my earlygame and haraz like hell :)
For Statik+IE: I will do my math later.
You could buy Sheen+IE for example and start your Trinity, but first I wanna do my math. If the math doesnt show that its okay, it's not worth testing. ;)
Malady has the better MS and is a good option, if you wanna go for DPSap lategame. You could buy Malady and Rabadons for more Wbuffs and a hihger nuke.
Statiks MS are nice, but if you buy only the zeal you can start your trinity, save money and the "phage"-part normaly is enough HP for you, so you wont need another defensive Item.

Liandry's is good ONLY if you plan on building mainly AP. Otherwise, it's a huge gold dump, since more than half of your damage isn't even affected by the penetration. Good item on AP Kayle, suboptimal on Hybrid Kayle.

So far, testing any masteries that aren't 21/x/x shows too low damage compared to when you get the extra 5 APR, and +5% damage on targets below 50% (which you burst there quite quickly, in most cases).
I mean, in S2 I went 15/15/0, but it was different back than.. now, you'd have to sacrifice 1% CD to get those, which is bad considering how much you need every % of CDR you got.
Also, in 15/0/15, you basically trade 1% CDR 5 APR, 3 AD and 5%+ damage on low targets for... +2/5 MP/Sec, and 3.75% more Exp? Or for 2 extra pots at lv1, and 2 GP/10? 15/0/15 just isn't better than 21/0/9.
As for items, I've tried going NT before Rageblade.. the 20% CDR early doesn't help when you got such low damage, compared to Rageblade.. and that''s without the passive. Rageblade is a way better first item than NT.
About what I get after the core, Statik has a single huge benefit.. lategame scaling. Maldary might have better DPS boost for the money, but the thing is.. it sucks. Compare Statik+IE, to any other combination of items, and you'll find Statik+IE will beat them all. Well, maby not Trinity+IE, but Trinity is just a huge dump of gold, and there've been only a few games where I've gotten to the full build even with Statik+IE.
Also, Statik isn't bad.. it might not be amazing either, but all the stats it has benefit you (yes, crit benefits you, you still do much AD), and scales way better than other items into late-game, once you got BT.
The only few times I don't get it is when I get Iceborn Gauntlet first, only when I'm in dire need of the slow.#
Oh, and did I mention how well Statik actually scales with your W? If you're used to moving all the time (aka Orb walking, kiting, etc), you'll have a shit ton of Statik procs per fight.

What do you think? Does it have any place in a competitive build at all? Or is it too much of a hard fit?
I would also like to know your thoughts on Iceborn... when would u get it? Late-Game?
