Introduction
Hello everyone my IGN is "x5 Pìtsìs"(it has special characters in it), I'm a Greek League of Legends player and I'm the Top laner for Team Exile 5![[http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/6587/x5banner.png]](http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/6587/x5banner.png)
I've been playing for 2,5 years+ and I play pretty much only top lane. I'm aiming to be one of the best Kha'Zix players out there and this guide for Kha'Zix, the Voidreaver will be focused on top lane while as well providing information on how to jungle but also how to mid lane with him.
I find Kha'Zix as one of the most fun champions in the game at the moment by having that unique ability to evolve any 3 of his 4 abilities that he wants to, depending on different situations.
I see a lot of people building Kha'Zix the wrong way and when I say building I mean both item wise and skill leveling wise. I'll explain to you on this guide what would be the best and most optimal way to build Kha'Zix.

Pretty standard rune setup for Kha'Zix, you need the flat AD cause he scales really well with it and it also helps with a much better last hit. You also need the armor penetration because the way penetration works now it is pretty worth to have. As for the defensive runes, armor as usual and 4 flat magic resist runes and 5 per level so you have a mix of magic resist for early and late game.

Only difference is you grab flat Magic Resist glyphs instead of Magic Resist per level glyphs because you are against an AP top, pretty self explanatory :P

Skills
Passive: Unseen Threat When Kha'Zix is not visible to the enemy team, he gains Unseen Threat, causing his next basic attack against an enemy champion to deal bonus magic damage and slow.
Explanation:
A skill sometimes ignored when it 100% shouldn't be. This skill should be always on your head and you should remember and check if its up or not, its a free slow + damage on hit which is extremely good especially in top lane when you can just get in bushes, be unseen and then get passive over and over.
The order in which you think and decide if you want to trade is:
1)Do i have
up?2)Can i do more damage than the enemy will do to me?
3)Where is the enemy jungler?
4)If you pass all the above statements you can proceed on using the casual harass, auto hit +
and most of the times you back off after that except if you are sure that you can go on with some autos and another
after.I'll explain a bit more for the passive when i will be talking about

Evolving claws increases damage to isolated targets even further. Kha'Zix also gains increased range on both Taste Their Fear and his basic attack.
Explanation:
Your bread and butter, the skill you want to focus on to assassinate people. You need to practice this skill to know the range on the isolation to take full advantage.
I'll be explaining the evolving on all 4 skills at the

W: Void SpikeKha'Zix fires spikes that explode on contact, dealing physical damage to all nearby enemies. Kha'Zix is healed if he is within the explosion radius.
Evolving spike racks causes Void Spike to fire three projectiles in a cone. Spikes will also apply Unseen Threat to all enemies caught within the area of effect.
Explanation:
This is the skill that makes you mana hungry and forces a lot of people on buying

The reason I max my skills in such a weird way is because I'm balancing out mana consumption and damage, with every level this skill requires 10 more mana and that is the reason why i get one level on Q and W one at a time, that way I can depend on my Q for damage on a low mana cost while also depending on my W for wave clear, sustain and an addition to my burst. You can max this first if you are going for the Muramana Path build.I'll be explaining the evolving on all 4 skills at the

E: LeapKha'Zix leaps to an area, dealing physical damage to enemies in the area he lands.
Evolving wings increases Leap's range dramatically and causes a kill or assists to refresh the cooldown of Leap.
Explanation:
Just a casual gap closer/escape mechanism which becomes a terror for the enemy team when you evolve it. The cooldown early is relatively high so you need to be very careful when you are using this in lane, you must have good judgment when to use this else you might have some unexpected ganks coming.
I'll be explaining the evolving on all 4 skills at the

R: Void AssaultEach rank of Void Assault allows Kha'Zix to evolve one of his active abilities, granting it an additional effect. Upon activation, Kha'Zix enters stealth and gains Unseen Threat, increasing Movement Speed. Kha'zix can cast Void Assault again for a short time after activation.
Evolving active camouflage allows Kha'Zix to cast Void Assault three times over the course of its duration and reduces any damage he sustains while in stealth.

Being able to evolve any of the 4 skills you want is the most awesome mechanic ever. Lets see a bit the visual difference when you evolve each skill:

The 1 second invisibility part of this skill seems like a very small amount of time to be invisible but you can think of it as -1 second cooldown on your

+ keeping you safe for a bit to think what you want to do all that multiplied by 2 OR 3 times depending if you had

So as I've seen from most Kha'Zix players, 80% or maybe more evolve
first which is completely wrong, the first time I saw Kha'Zix as well i was like "Yeah I'll be evolving
" that's what everyone thinks when they start playing Kha'Zix because that's how the right way seems to be but the truth is that his

as it slows down my build, good mana management is an important aspect on becoming a good Kha'Zix player. Study well the skill order as it is very important and tricky. Also you can max this first over Q completely if you are going for the Muramana Path build

As you can see what you evolve has pretty much nothing to do with what you are leveling from the skills.
Lets start on explaining why.

Explanation:
So this skill as I said earlier is pretty overrated, ok the range can be good but its only 50 to make your total range go to 175 from 125, a range that other champions have as base. Also the 12% damage on isolated targets from their missing health isn't such a big of a deal in the early game.
You have an option of evolving this or
at level 16, that depends on the team compositions, if you see that you can find people alone a lot and they don't have a lot of AOE then getting this at level 16 would be wise. It can make you burst hard at late game, its just not good early game.

This is what makes Kha'Zix one of the best assassins in the game, having the ability to jump in such a large range while also being able to refresh on kill or assist is just amazing. You evolve this second cause after level 11 a lot of team fights start to happen so you need to be ready for that, but you need to be very careful when to go in and out with this skill especially in team fights, because if you don't use this correctly then you will have to wait for a painful cooldown or grab an assist or kill of course :P

The first passive(Butcher) doesn't work for lane creeps but it works for wraiths etc. It makes it very easy to one shot jungle creeps and help with dragon/baron damage.
Seeing these items you can notice that for the cost of 700g the gains/losses are

The reasoning behind rushing
is that your enemy laner at top will 90% of the times buy armor because of you playing very aggressive with the Assassin Path, also the way armor penetration works now(% is calculated first and then flat penetration) its good even on targets with just a bit of armor. This whole Dominion section was made by a friend of mine and not by me, so credits to him :)
Hey there, I'm CoenA and I've been playing Dominion since release on/off. I'm at a relatively high dominion elo, you can sometimes see my name on the Featured Games screen in the client. I have a roughly 90% win ratio with Khazix since I started playing him over 20 games in high elo. He's very overpowered on Dominion if played correctly because of how good he is in every part of the game. He has high mobility, high damage and can build tanky. I think anyone can pick up Khazix in Dominion, it only takes a few games to get the hang of. I'd also like to credit Sauron because of the information he has provided in regards to not only Dominion, but every champion the game, including Khazix.
Runes - 25 Armor Pen, Hp/lvl Yellows, MR/lvl blues -> Per level runes are generally superior in Dominion because you start off at lvl 4. These are the most effective runes to use because all of Khazix's abilities do Physical Damage except his Passive, and you have more gold than usual, allowing you to buy AD a lot more easily, as opposed to Armor Pen which is not so easy to itemize for.
Masteries - Go 21-9-0. I like to take Magic Pen and Armor Pen. This basically means u have to take only 3/4 points in ad/lvl, 0 points in havoc and 0 points in lifesteal. For 9 points in defense, take improved revive and 3 points in armor, as well as the HP masteries.
Summoners -
is optimal, this is the current most popular combination in High Elo Dominion, and for good reason.

is basically the same as what every other summoner will be used for, that being living or killing someone else, with the added bonus of being able to shut down anyone who's a problem.
should be used whenever it will allow you to cap or defend a point, make sure to buy quickly when you die and then pop revive after.

What to do : Khazix is best played as a top laner that can occasionally roam bot lane. Khazix has a terrible poke game at lvl 3, so typically you want to be the one to cap mid lane while your other 3 team mates go to top. Generally the other guy going top lane will also be melee, so you can harass him with your

to run away if you get stunned/exhausted or something. Use your best judgment and dive the enemy when necessary. Just make sure you use your
to get extra damage and slow.After initial fight if you lost horribly top lane you might want to gank bot lane. Make sure to go through the blind spots and then jump over the wall, auto for

, so try to abide by that rule. Always pay attention to death timers, they are very short. Recalling is often a good course of action if you are low. Try not to get greedy, if you have no vision on the enemy then they are probably somewhere close. This also applies to trying to cap more than 3 points. People throw way too often by trying to cap too many points.In general if they take top lane you will want to push the creeps until the tower hp whittles down and then make your play after that. IF they have ridiculous tower defense, then you will want to gank bot or back cap their mid.
Apart from that, just use your best judgment and you should be fine =)
Jungling
I haven't played Kha'Zix jungle many times but those few times I've jungled as Kha'Zix I already know some few "tricks"First of all runes and builds are the same.
When you start level 1 you buy

Most junglers nowadays can start from either red or blue buff that's why i didn't add too many in the examples.
To get a small tip you can check from where their mid laner enters the lane. If he enters lane from the side of the wraiths then their jungler most likely started from red buff, else if they came to lane from blue buff its 99% he started from blue buff.
Mid Lane
Same with jungling I haven't played many games at mid lane but those few times I did play, things were pretty easy because AP mid laners sometimes don't expect an AD at mid so they don't run armor runes making it easier for you. The downside at mid lane is that you don't have bushes to activate your

As in top lane you again use the "Level 2 Lane Harassment" from the combos section below, if you successfully do this you might scare him off a lot and then you proceed having easier farm. Whenever you are in position of roaming, go for it, you don't have the best ganks till level 11 when you get
but you can still apply pressure to the other lanes and your damage is still high.
Early Game
As Kha'Zix you will want to be aggressive early, he is a high risk champion with good damage output till level 3, if you fail on your aggression early and you die then you are in trouble but if you successfully kill him at first few levels you can start snowballing from there. Also Kha'Zix gets outclassed by most top laners so getting that small lead is important and remember that your worst levels are 4-5 that's your weakest point in the early game. Junglers are your worst nightmare, you will be aggressive so the target will be on you just pay close attention to your enemies movements to know if the jungler is on his way or he is already there waiting for you to get baited. Junglers you want to be more careful when you are on blue team and they start from red buff:

To prevent getting ganked early from these champions you can wait and not use your first skill point till you either see the enemy jungler somewhere or you hit level 2 so in conclusion you get:
: When you are sure that you wont get ganked till level 2
: When you are sure that you will get ganked till level 2Nothing and you wait till level 2 or you see their jungler somewhere else: When you have no idea where their jungler is and its kind of deceiving whether you will get ganked or not.
Mid Game

This is the time where baron fights start happening and in general lots of team fights. Pick targets before fights and have them as priorities, usually the order of your priorities is:AD Carry > AP Carry > everyone else
There are exceptions though, sometimes the enemy AP Carry might be scarier than the enemy AD Carry so you change that order, its up to you and your judgement.
In team fights you play the role of an Assassin. You want to wait for the best time to go in and start cleaning up, you wait wait and wait till most people have used their ultimates/CC's so that you have an easier time going in and killing anyone left low or if you find someone out of position(always thinking of the priorities of your targets first), patience is the key to a good Kha'Zix player, remember that you are an assassin and extremely squishy, one mistake can cost you your life. At this point of the game you start using a lot the "Late Game(level 16+) assassination attempt to invisibility"(see Combos chapter below), fast thinking and reflexes are your friends.

There are probably better item choices than Zephyr for its cost, if you think that it suits you then yeah go for it its fine but I would probs get it only when I'm full build and I would replace my boots with a Zephyr :)
