Welcome to Nidalee, the dart tosser. This is a very aggressive, powerful and high mobility build for Nidalee. This guide is also intended to use her and move quickly while in form to finish opponents. In the next few chapters this guide will detail how I play Nidalee as the game progesses in either Top or Mid lane. This guide will be quick and to the point so I hope you enjoy!

Nidalee can have many roles and play styles. I believe her role is to poke/harass and clean up. The goals of Nidalee are to win the lane, control the map, and help your team out early. This build for Nidalee will not be the tankiest, however, make it easy to burst opponents down and move quickly to finish champions.

- Good Pushing
- Can Chase and Finish Champions
- Clean up Professional

Cons:

- Mana Hungry
- Very Squishy
- May not be a beneficial to the team with no farm
- Can be useless in team fights

I believe there are two ways to play Nidalee top lane with my build. If you are against a squishy/easier champion, maxing out is priority. If unsure or against a harder champion such as or , then maxing out is a much safer option. Below I will state the play styles if you started or .



The main focus is to toss frequently. Since you will be mana hungry, toss darts only when you are confident in hitting the target. You should be trying to control the lane and get every last hit possible. If you have a good jungler, try not to get your opponent too low. Only low enough to make an easy kill. The other option is to wait until you have . Toss until 1/4 - 1/2 hp then while in cougar form to finish the kill. If taking out your opponent is no option, continue to farm and control lane by constantly in the river and bushes. This allows you to safely farm until you are prepared to buy. On my first back (assuming you started dorans) I like to try and get , and . Go back to your lane and farm/push. Ward the bush at top and . is a very good tool that can keep you alive and attack quicker. You should be able to take the turret out but if not then farming is always a good option.



Since you started with your primary goal is to farm and take out your turret quickly. The quicker the turret is down the more you can help other lanes and/or push lane. Make sure to max out before your . Simply last hit minions and or as needed. I recommend last hitting until you can afford a and . Now the goal is to take out the turret and ward river/bush. The warding will allow safe pushing and your will heal and allow you to attack quicker. If you took out the turret go back and finish the and buy . Depending on the team you are against, you can continue pushing or just farm and help other lanes.

Team Fights are a little different when playing . This is when tossing darts are important and controlling the map is a priority. If the team is pushing mid for example, try to stay at the back of the pack or in the bushes while . Nidalee is most effective prior to and after a team fight rather than during. When team fights initiate, you need to feel out the enemy team. Tossing in a fight is the safest bet, however, it is not as constant as being in . The problem with this build is that you can be focused easily if you go in to early so try to clean up or go later in the fight to help your team out as it will be most effective.


Note: If you did not buy a , get blue buff as much as possible.
