IntroductionHey there, I'm IAMZizzi05 and this is my second build guide.
I'll try to explain everything without a thousand chapters.
I use Akali from very much time, she's my favourite champion and I almost ever make good scores with her.
That's a screenshot of one of my best scores, using this build:
I will explain how to use her, how to manage skills, how to manage items and how to score kills.
First, you have to know that Akali is pretty strong and helpful in team, but she has low health and low defense, so you have to know how to use all her power and kill the enemy before the enemy kills you.
Runes and Masteries are already displayed, so it's enough to know what those runes and masteries offers to our Akali. I'll skip those chapters.
-- Season 3 Update for Masteries and added Early Game, Mid Game, Late Game, Jungling chapters. (12/08/2012)
You need Ignite a lot. In game first part you won't have your ulti, you won't make high damages, so you may need some. Ignite is pretty helpful when an enemy runs away with low life, or just to offer an advantage bonus in the duel.
Flash is used to reach far enemies, but most to run away. Akali is low health and def, so you may be in difficulty. In that case, your can't help you to ran away, but just to hide yourself: What can you do? Flash!
Flash through walls, jungle, base. Run away, and recall.
Passive: Twin Disciplines
Her passive is pretty helpful. As long as you increase stats, this passive will grant bonus damages.
Q: Mark of the Assassin
Mark of the Assassin is the first skill to get maxed. It deals an initial ranged damage; then, you'll have to deal a melee hit to the enemy before the debuff runs out. In this way, your damage will be increased.
And that's not all! You will get back almost all Energy you have used, so you can repeat the skill almost immediately.
W: Twilight Shroud
This skill is the last to be maxed, but it's still useful. It makes Akali invisible when she gets into the circle, and slows the enemies inside that. In this way, it will be easier to run away in case of low life, and you will get a little advantage in duels.
Personally, I use W only when I need to run away during a team fight or an enemy gank, when they're too much to be killed. They gets slowed, so I can get far enough to be safe.
E: Crescent Slash
That's my favourite. Rotation => Multi Target => Easy Farm. It's a lot easier to farm using this skill, alternating with Q to take back some Energy and deal some bonus damage.
Getting advantages during the farm isn't a joke. You get more money and more experience, so you will afford items before your enemies.
R: Shadow Dance
This skill is one of the most powerful in LoL. Not for the damage it deals, but for the use.
You can use it 3 times, it recharges every 25/20/15 seconds or just scoring a kill or an assist.
Now, I'll explain what's special in this skill.
You're in the jungle, hidden and ready to attack, but you're enemy is far enough to run away. What you do? R! Assault him, destroy him. Using this skill he won't be able even to run away.
The only chance is fight, so you'll have to use all your skills. Use Q, get back Energy, use E, and make damage.
He uses flash? No problem, R again.
He can't escape, it's a trap. It's a sure kill.
Item BuildsIn this chapter I'll explain why to buy what I advised. :)
: Grants magic resist and reduces debuffs duration. Perfect if you're against APs, Supporters, or simply enemies which stuns or slows.
: Grants armor and reduces damages from non-turret basic attacks. Perfect if you're against ADs.
: It grants 500HP, pretty precious for Akali, and 80 Ability Power (AP). Perfect to start the game: Stronger and covered from enemies.
: Grants AP, AD, Life Steal and Spell Vamp (plus active effect, which deals magic damage). It's one of the best items for Akali, because it grants to absorb part of your damage to heal you. In this way, if you're strong you have more possibilities to survive.
: If you're going bad or in case of heavy enemies, you can't die too much times, or they'll become too feed to save the game. You need defense, and guardian angel grants a revive bonus too, so it would be perfect.
Grants Armor, Magic Defense, Revive (5 Minute Cooldown).
: Focussed on AP and Armor. Grants Power and Defense at the same time. Perfect in bad situations.
: It's a really nice item for Akali, because it grants a lot of things she needs, excluding mana (she uses Energy). Pretty good, but not indispensable.
: Need damage? THAT'S FOR YOU! When you don't have Armor problems, and you need to deal more damage, buy Rabadon's Deathcap.
: Pretty useful, grants AP and Magic Penetration, fully focussed on damage.
Early GameBuy shoes and potions.
When you'll start your build, think at the enemy team. AD? Ninja Tabi. AP? Mercury's Treads. Easy lane? Sorcerer's Shoes.
Then, if you need more hp, buy . If not, buy or .
Mid GameAt Mid Game, you should already have ulti and some useful items to score some kills.
Keep fighting and dominating your lane, if you're in advantage. If you're in difficulty, never gank: play safe under your turret.
Wait team fight to kill the other enemies :)
Keep building you up as the Item Build chapter says... And you're on the right road to dominate the game.
Late GameTeam Fights! Push! Baron! Win!
In Late game, it's time to fight all together.
I'll explain Team Fights as Akali in the next chapter.
Finish your build, get much AP, and maybe some spell vamp (), because with high skill damages you can get back your hp easily ^_^
Akali isn't the best champ to push, because she's full AP, so she can't do big damages to tower. But remember, you can still tower dive or kill who interrupts your push, and if you're feed enough, you won't have any problem.
Stay with your team, especially in team fights, because you can die easily if ganged by much enemies.
Good luck. ^^
Team FightsIn team fights, Akali is one of the bests killer.
Thanks to her ulti, she can keep attacking or run away in a half second, so she isn't very simple to kill.
But, PAY ATTENTION! Akali is very low hp and defense without a or .
If you play too aggressive, you'll decrease success probability. Keep calm, hide yourself, use , and when it's the right moment, just use ulti and keep attacking.
If you need to tower dive, from mid game to game finish it is possible, but just for a few seconds. Akali is pretty far from a tanky build, so she won't ignore tower's damage like a Mundo or a Malphite would do.
If your enemy is low hp, use ulti, kill and escape (with ulti or flash if low life).
The highest number of multi kills I did with Akali in a Team Fight was a quadrakill, with all my team alive, and an Alistar that ran away.
Akali can easily penta if built and used as well. It's one of the strongest champ as my opinion, so keep trying.
JunglingNever jungle with Akali. She's a lane champ. She can go Mid, Top or Bot, but NOT IN JUNGLE!
-Too low hp to pull at game start and farm enough to keep the level rythm.
-Akali can double kill easily if well used, you don't need to jungle!
-The only thing Akali needs in jungle is Blue, in Mid Game - Late Game, Team Fights time!
So, don't jungle. No kills, difficulties in leveling up, almost impossible to pull.
Final CommentsSo, I explained what to buy, why to buy it, how to afford it, how to farm, how to kill, how to assault, how to use skills, why to choose ignite and flash as summoner's spells, how to order the skills.
I think it's all clear, but if you have questions, just write a comment, I would be really glad to answer.
Thank you all for reading this guide, hope you like it, and if you find some mistakes or else, just tell me, I'll try to correct as well.
I'm fully available to help you. (:
