Elise role, strength and weaknessRecently Elise has become FOTM, and im not surprised about that, sooner or later people would realize her potenttial. I play elise as an assassin mid/top, I also main this lanes, I hardly go other place (maybe jungle).
I am a normal lol player and I have played this game for 2 years (agsutin gbdq). I ended up in season 2 with 1600 elo, and I currently have 1800 LP (GII) fighting for plat. I've won 175 from my 300 ranked games with elise (175 w 125 l), this means I have 50 more wins than losses with elise. 50 games is the equivalent of 600-650 Lp(+/- 6 divisions). I main kha'zix, elise, teemo, wukong, karthus, brand, ahri and also warwick. I believe that elise has an unique play style that makes her a very tricky champion, she has burst, escape mechanisim, gapcloser, and a AS steroid she is a really "complete" champion.
Her q both in human and in spider make % damage, this is very effective cause it will improve as enemy health does and there are a lot of champions that rush or. She can do a lot of harass to the enemy and a huge burst if she can do her full combo.
Mid Elise vs Top Elise
I think elise is very powerful in both lanes yet your play style may change a bit.
- Top is the place for melee bruiser type champions, such as riven, irelia, darius and jax. Elise is incredibly strong against these type of champions she can harass them to death and zone them without letting the enemy laner respond against this. When you play top you wanna rush Hp Ap and resistances, you are not the ap mid so you need to be tanky or you will constantly die. Elise, being a ranged champion, has a very easy time top lane, even versus other ranged heroes like Vlad. Use Q to harass, but keep enough mana to always have for a Q E if necessary.
- In Mid you should go heavy ap, yet you still need some hp mr and armor or you wont be able to do damage in teamfight as spider. There are a few counter for mid elise such as long range champions like anivia orianna or xerath. You should try to pressure your lane and constantly roam, Elise roaming is great so as her gank.
Benefits and drawbacks from top and mid
- You have blue
- Safer lane
- You can go full damage if your team has someone tanky
- Better roaming and Dragon control
- If ganked you can rappel to wraiths
- You are usually squishier
- You need better positioning for teamfights
- You can't do much against long range champions like
- Safer lane for the opponent
- You are probably gonna face a melee champion
- If you are winning the lane you can snowball or completely zone the opponent (must buy )
- You are tankier
- Better zoning potential
- You don't have blue (except there is a mid)
- If you fall behind your enemy it's hard to make a comeback
- Harder to escape from ganks
- You can't roam much before destroying enemy tower
Here there are some ranked games with mid and top elise showing how hard you can snowball with some early kills. Many people think that elise is not viable for ranked games, I strongly disagree, this games are played in 1500 elo the first two games are from top and the last 2 from mid.
Pros and Cons
- Rappel is amazing, one of the best abilities in game
- Strong in lane, hard to counter
- Strong Harass and burst
- Can snowball like a god
- You can go top or mid so you can swap positions if necessary
- No mana cost in spider
- Spiders can block some skillshots, so as your rappel
- There are a lot of mid or top champions that scale better into late game
- AA sucks
- Rappel can be buggy
- High skill cap
- Poor ap ratios
RunesThere are main 2 rune pages I would advise to use on Elise.
Vs standard lanes
- Marks: Magic Pen
- Seals: Flat armor
- Glyphs: Mr per lvl/Flat CDR
- Quints: Flat Ap
You want to go this rune page almost every game, you benefit from every stat on this rune page, you need the armor and mr cause you'll go melee, you can't be squishy cause you'll die in a split second yet you also need the damage from flat ap and magic pen. This is the standard rune page for Ap champs that will take some damage such as ,or. You can take CRD instead of MR per lvl if you are laning against an ad champion and you want the extra poke, this will help you in lane.
Vs skill shot based champions
- Marks: Magic Pen
- Seals: Flat armor
- Glyphs: Mr per lvl/ Flat CDR
- Quints: Movement Speed
You want this rune page against champions like , or , champions that you need the extra speed to be able to dodge skills easier, you can also take this runes against champions like where you need that extra speed for escaping. Elise as an assassin benefits both ways offensively and defensively with movement speed and its a great choice on her.
- Marks: Here you should always go magic pen, I don't recommend flat ap cause elise scales better with magic pen that with ap, her ratios are not that awesome.
- Seals: I recommend flat armor cause you are gonna be focused a lot and it also help in lane against those Ad champs such as or. You can also go for mana regen if you go mid and you want to harass the enemy until they rage quit but later on mana reg runes become useless and if you don't spam you you shouldn't go out of mana.
- Glyphs: I recommend Mr per lvl because it scales better into late game than flat Mr, and elise kinda falls late game, if you die in half a second you will not do any damage, that's why you need to be a bit bulky. You don't need flat Mr early cause most champions don't do a lot of magic damage without items. You can also go CDR glyphs, this helps a lot since elise benefits a lot from CDR, if you feel you can win your lane without that extra Mr go ahead and take this runes. I don't recommend Ap or Ap per lvl here cause as I said before elise has poor ap ratios and the ap glyphs give is really bad.
- Quints: Here you can go whatever you want, CRD, AP, Armor, Hp, Movement speed, it's really according your playstyle, yet for assassin Elise I recommend MS or Flat AP. Chasing your opponent down is a huge part of Elise's kit as you want to be able to auto attack in Spider Form. Yet for some lanes when you just want to harass Ap may be better, like vs or .
MasteriesThere are 3 possible masteries but most of the time you will have to choose between 2 mastery pages.
You should change your rune pages depending your enemy team and most important your team, ask yourself, what does your team need? A frontline? More damage?
I usually go with this masteries when I need the damage cause my team is already bulky or because we lack damage. You should swap between 2 Armor- 6 Mr/6 Armor- 2 Mr depending on your lane. You want this masteries in 80% of games and they will increase your damage noticable. If you are going mid you are gonna always want to pick this masteries. Together with Havoc, Blast, Mental Force, ap runes an a dorans ring, you'll have around 40 ap at level one and 2% more damage from all sources, this is really helpful at poking at low levels. Arcane Knowledge this was nerfed by 2% at season 3 update, but they also change how penetration works, % pen now applies before flat pen, this means that although Arcane Knowledge was nerfed a bit it works better now and you end up doing more damage compared from season 2. Executioner synergies perfectly with your Q in spider making this nuke much more powerful. Extra CDR from Sorcery is also always good. Spellsword does not only help you poking the enemy is also help you last hitting and will proc passive.
You want to go with this masteries if you have a hard lane or your team does not have frontline (2 people). You'll receive much less damage and you'll be able to charge into more dangerous situations. This is the safest masteries and I recommend them for unexperienced players. Do not take this if your team lacks damage or you already have a frontline, you should focus on nuking down targets. Resistances were nerfed in season 3, mr, armor and hp are more expensive and also weaker, going deep into defensive tree may help you recover the lost resistances from season 3. Durability, Hardiness, Juggernaut, Resistance and Veteran's Scars all give you base stats to make your early lane phase easier and safer. Relentless and Tenacious will help you to stick down to targets and to escape from sticky situations. Tenacious synergies really well with mercury treads making CC last much less. Legendary Armor and Honor Guard will help you to soak up damage, specially in teamfights. This masteries may be more effective in top lane due to the fact that you'll get more tanky items and together with this masteries you'll be tough to kill.
This masteries are very risky, you'll have 0 extra mr armor and health making you a easy target to kill. I don't recommend this masteries at all, going deep in utility may trick you thinking that 5% MS and some CD is worth it, but it's not. You either need the extra damage or extra defences. Elise doesn't really benefit from the utility tree. If you are very confident of yourself dodging every single skill shot due to the extra MS go ahead and try this, you'll be able to harass a bit more due to the CRD from Sorcery and Intelligence. Wanderer is just bad, you don't need 2% extra MS if you are out of combat, you need the extra MS so as to kite and chase enemies. Mastermind is good, CRD 10% from summoner spells is great, also Artificier will help if you buy DFG later on. Runic Affinity and Vampirism are awesome 20% more buff duration is great and the extra lifesteal and spellvamp is also pretty effective on elise. However don't get tricked by these 2 masteries, they are great but going deep into utility so as to get this is just a waste of pottential. You'll end up losing a lot of damage or tankyness for something that's not worth it. If you really want the 20% more buff duration you can go 21/0/9 or 0/21/9.
Experienced players don't need the extra armor mr and health masteries and runes offer, you should know when to fight and when to back off yet this is extremely difficult and it's much safer to go through this masteries/runes.
You are an assassin, you need that extra damage to burst down an enemy, it will also reduce their healing so its good vs champions like that depend a lot on their healing to survive. When ignite is on CD you'll have that extra 5 ap and ad that will help a bit.
Flash is mandatory, you'll need this to escape from sticky situations and to surprise enemies, usually flashing to a better position to be able to nuke them down. The most effective way to use this spell if you are running is flashing through a wall. A lot of times you'll be ganked, its always better to escape with rappel but if you cant jump to anything just flash or stun and run. You can even rappel and then instantly flash and 90% of times you will escape alive.
You can take this summoner spell if you wanna focus on the spider form and perform the most AA as possible, it synergies with your in spider form because you'll be able to preform a lot of AA. This is good but ignite is just better, that slow and reduced damage help but you really want the extra damage from ignite. This may work in top if you know you are gonna have a really hard time vs champions like , yet you'll want ignite 99% of games.
As an assassin you should focus in killing more than covering your ass, let this summoner spell for the adc. If you are going against a team with crazy CC such as this summoner spell may be useful yet I recommend ignite for the extra damage, you should learn how to position better, it's always a smarter choice.
MS is awesome on elise but flash is better in every sense, I don't think sticking to targets is that important on elise, you should focus more in "burst and run".
If you want to go really aggressive you can take ignite+heal, but you won't have the strong escaping/chasing capability that flash gives. Also people tend to use ignite a lot so you can be countered easyly.
I believe this is a strong summoner spell for ranked 5v5 where you can coordinate with your team to make awesome ganks, fast dragon/baron or unexpected plays. This is not really viable as an assassin in solo queue due to the fact that team communication and team plays always lack.
I wont mention all the other summoner spells cause some of them are really stupid on elise and wont help you or your team.
Passive: Spider Swarm
(Innate): When Elise's Human Form spells hit an enemy, she readies a Spiderling. When Elise transforms, she summons Spiderlings to attack nearby foes. The maximum number of spiderlings increases with Spider Form's level.
Spiderling Health: 100 + (25 × level)
Spiderling Attack Speed: 0.665
Spiderling Armor: 30
Spiderling Magic Resistance: 50
Spiderling Movement Speed: 370
Explanation:A pretty simple passive that deals a lot of damage and also helps you defensively. You generally have all your spiderlings charged when you change to spider form, you start with 2 and gain 1 each time you level your ult. This little spiders are amazing they can block skillshots like charm, they also work well against certain champs such as (his q does half damage to you). They can also do a lot of damage specially in high level when you have 5 of them. At lvl 16 you have all your spiderlings, their damage is 40+0.1 ap this means that if you have 300 ap each spider will do 70 damage each AA, you also have your 140% attack speed steroid so they will attack incredibly fast. You also have 5 spiderlings so they all deal 350 damage per AA. If you can AA with your spiders for the 3 sec duration of the you will destroy anyone, and you'll also gain some Hp. This is a lot of damage but spiderlings are very squishy and a aoe like pillar of flame can destroy them all, that's why you should protect your spiders from aoe spells (not possible in teamfights).
Spiderlings cant be controled.
Turrents will 1 shot them.
Spiderlings benefit from Elise's armor penetration.
Spiderlings' attacks do not proc on-hit effects.
Allied champions are able to use on spiderlings.
Q: Neurotoxin/Venomous bite
While in Human form: Deals magic damage equal to a base amount plus a percentage of the target's current health. Damage is capped against monsters.
While in Spider form: Elise lunges to a target with a poisonous bite that deals magic damage equal to a base amount plus a percentage of the target's missing health. Damage is capped against monsters.
The main function of Neurotoxin is to harass the enemy in lane, it does a lot of damage in all levels, specially when the enemy is full. You should spam this ability whenever you can and always try to keep the enemy in 50% health (your neurotixin damage falls a lot beyond this point).
If you can stun them when they are 50% hp you should kill them easily. You always start your combo with this spell (after stun is possible). It has low CD, low mana and strong base stats (50/95/140/185/230 plus 8%) yet their ap ratios are not that good (0.03 ap) this means that if you have 100 ap you'll do 3% more damage.
Venomous Bite is the opposite from neurotoxin, this is you nuke spell you want to use this to finish down your opponent, when they are below 50% hp. It has the same base damage, Cd and ratios of neurotoxin yet you don't waste mana. You can use this spell when you are farming under tower making farming much easier. If you go melee and try to farm with this in lane the enemy will probably harass you a lot. This is also a mini gap closer that will help you stick your target.
W: Volatile Spiderling/Skittering Frenzy
While in Human form: Summons a venom-gorged Spiderling that moves to target location and explodes, dealing magic damage to nearby enemies when it nears an enemy unit or after 3 seconds.
While in Spider form: (Passive): Spiderlings gain bonus attack speed.
(Active): Increases the attack speed of Elise and her Spiderlings for 3 seconds. While active, Elise is healed when she or her spiderlings attack
You want to max Volatile Spiderling as your second ability, it works similar to maokai saplings and they'll do a lot of damage later on. If you are facing long range champions such as or you may wanna max this first. Minions can block this so be careful when to use this spell, it will usually drain your mana if you constantly spam this (unless you have blue). This spell is awesome for zoning the opponent and if you maxed this first and you are winning the lane the enemy won't be able to touch a single minion, just stand in front of the wave and if he comes close thow him a spider (always buy for jungler). Before a teamfight starts you should poke the enemy with this spell as much as possible. It also acts like a ward, allowing for bush checking. It has decent base damage and ratios 75/125/175/225/275 (+0.8*AP) and a 12 sec CD.
Skittering Frenzy is a MASSIVE AS steroid, the best one in all game, it gives you and your spiderlins 140% AS and also healing for the duration of the spell (3 sec). Make sure your spiderlings are in position for Skittering Frenzy before you activate it, otherwise you lose healing/dps potential. You can also use this in lane to get some hp, just stand back and let your spiders attack, it wont help much but it will give around 50-100 hp without pushing the lane too much. Both Volatile Spiderling and Skittering Frenzy are awesome for clearing waves (Skittering Frenzy can also rape towers).
While in Human form: Elise fires a web that stuns and reveals the first enemy hit for 1.5 seconds.
While in Spider form:
- On enemy cast: Elise and her spiderlings ascend high into the air and descend upon an enemy target.
- On ground cast: Elise and her spiderlings ascend high into the air, becoming untargetable for two seconds. Casting Rappel on a nearby enemy during this time will descend upon your target.
Cocoon is a really simple spell, a skill shot stun that does no damage and reveals enemy. The only thing that improves while leveling this is the cd so you should max it last.
Use this for escaping and to combo effectively, try to catch the enemy off guard with your stun and then throw your full combo on their face. Try not to spam it in lane cause its cd is long in early levels and you'll run out of mana quickly.
Rappel is an awesome spell, one of the best of the game it has awesome utility ,you can use it so juke, gank, escape, avoid damage, basically to fuck with your enemies mind. Rappel reveal the fog of war and it has a crazy range. You should use this spell to dodge high damage like or ult, you'll cut their damage drastically allowing you to jump and destroy them. Rappel does not prevent Dot damage like or abilities. This spell will be the hardest for you to master with Elise, so do not fret if you mess up using it. Good use of this spell will be a great deciding factor in you surviving in team fights. Rappel can also be a bit buggy, if you use is on an enemy and they instantly flash, you'll still jump on them. On the other hand it may happen that you want to jump on an enemy but he walks out of range and you stay in the air like a retards losing the kill.
R: Spider Form/Human Form
While in Human form: Elise transforms into a menacing spider with new abilities. While in Spider Form, Elise deals magic bonus damage on attack and has increased Movement Speed, Armor, and Magic Resistance. Each level of her ultimate allows Elise to summon an additional spiderling.
While in Spider form: Elise transforms into a human form with new abilities. Each level of her ultimate allows Elise to summon an additional spiderling.
You gain this ability at lvl 1 and all your playstyle works around this spell. It has no mana cost and no channel time. When in human form it will take you into your spider form and allow instantly the use of all spider spells. In spider form it will transform you into human form and allow instantly the use of all human spells. In spider form you gain armor, mr, ms, damage, and also spiderlings that help you a lot destroying the enemy. You should always lvl this spell ASAP, you'll get extra resistances, extra damage and more spiderlings.
It has 4 sec cd so you can constantly change form, yet you have to know when to be in human form and when to become a spider, this is the hardest part with elise and will separate a good elise with an awesome one. You should go back to lane in spider form for the extra 10 ms. Never go into spider from if the enemy is over 50% hp, your Q won't do any damage.
- Skill order
Do not level any ability in fountain, its better to wait and to know if you are ivnading or not. If you are invading go ahead and level for the stun, if you are protecting blue or red you can level cause it will act as a ward and give vision to your team. You should wait yo level your spells, and if nothing happens till you go into lane I recommend leveling your so as to be able to start harassing from min 1.
You want to max Q almost every game, although there are some instances where W may be a better choice. If you are lanning vs champions with huge range such as or I recommend you max your W, this champions usually have a fast wave clear and your W both in human and in spider will help clearing waves.
Max E last cause it only lowers the CD when you level it, this is one of the main reasons elise falls after lvl 13.
Smartcast is a must for someone with 6 abilities and it will help a lot to make your combo faster. You should W E Q almost at the same time, although you used W first the stun will arrive first and then the Q, finally the spiderling will catch him. If the target is really close to you it's better to go Q E W R ...., cause otherwise your W will explode before your Q lowering the damage of it.
You should use your rappel if the enemy flashes, if he is still alive after this combo (should not be more than 10% with ignite) you can go human, Q and W.
I recommend harassing the enemy with your Q until 80% hp before starting the combo so you can secure the kill.
Best case scenarioYou are lvl 13, imagine you have a Rylai's, Haunting guise 2 Dorans and Sorcerer Shoes. This mid levels are the best for elise cause she can dish out her full combo, and people don't go all packed up (unlike late game). Wards can help you defensively but they can also help you kill somebody, just watch where he is going and try to hide on a bush and ambush him. Together with masteries items and runes you have around 200 ap and 38 + 8% magic pen. Because he is not expecting you you can do your full combo in half a second without letting the enemy react.
The enemy may have gotten defences, like health and mr, or he can be squishy as hell. Lets calculate damage done in both scenarios.
Squishy target: This is obviously the best case scenario, the enemy may have around 50 (almost true damage for you) and 1800 hp. This is also a rare scenario cause squishy champions don't walk into bushes like this. With your magic pen you lower their mr down to 9 (8% magic damage red)
Your combo should be like this:
451 Damage from Q + 408 from W (he should be around 950 hp) + 332 from Q in spider + (by this time the stun should go off) with your W you'll have 140% extra AS and you'll do (together with your spiderlings) 272 magic damage each "round" of AA's, you also do a extra 60 damage from your base AA damage
The enemy should be dead after your 3rd maybe 4th AA, you can always Q when you got the CD or Rappel if he flashes. There is no way he can scape, you can also ignite him if you feel that your combo is not enough.
Tanky target: This may be a bit harder and he'll be more likely to scape. Imagine you ambush a jungle cho with 2.5 k hp and 100 mr. I's more likely to ambush junglers cause they constantly roam and go into bushes. You'll lower his mr to 54 (35% magic resistance).
380 Damage from Q + 290 from W (he should be around 1800 hp) + 222 from Q in spider + (by this time the stun should go off) with your W you'll have 140% extra AS and you'll do (together with your spiderlings) 192 magic damage each "round" of AA's, you also do a extra 60 damage from your base AA damage + You'll obviously have to Q him a bit more if you want him dead, you should also ignite him.
With 5 AA's (and your spider AA's) you'll do around 1000 damage, + 310 from ignite he'll be around 500 hp. Q him again (338 damage). By this point you can safely change into human and go Q W combo(450 damage), he should not be able to survive this (Remember to always rappel to follow him, use W in human in the second you jump into him so you make sure you can land it).
Important note: All this calculations are done with ap quints, magic pen marks and 21 points in offensive masteries, including Havoc and Executioner.
Time for some Math
Neurotoxin/Venomous bite Early Game Damage
Lets imagine you are lvl 5, just came back from shop with 2 doran rings, boot pots and a ward. Your enemy has 1000 hp and 50 Mr (33% magic damage reduction). You have 8 flat magic pen from runes, 8% from masteries and you have around 60 ap from masteries runes and the doran rings. You'll lower the enemies Mr to 38 (28% magic damage reduction).
We can see from the chart that is the enemy is full, Neurotoxin will do a lot of damage, after 3 or 4 Q's he'll probably back off and start to play a bit more safetly. We can also see that below 50% hp the damage of Neurotoxin falls a bit, and there is when Venomous bite deals more damage. This does not mean you should poke with Venomous bite, you can still poke with Neurotoxin, but you should be looking for a stun, so as to combo him down with both Q's and W's.
Venomous bite is just the same chart, but inverted. You should not use this kill to poke but to finish your enemy. It also has a small gap closer that can help you stick to target.
Obviously you'll deal more damage with Neurotoxin because you'll never do 171 damage to a target with 0 hp, he'll be already dead, but you can deal 171 damage to a target with full hp with Neurotoxin. However if you use Venomus bite and you target is below 50% hp (as you should) you'll do an extra 5% damage from offensive masteries (Executioner), increasing your damage a bit.
Neurotoxin/Venomous bite Mid Game Damage
You are lvl 13, imagine you have a Rylai's, Haunting guise 2 Dorans and Sorcerer Shoes. Your enemy has 2000 hp and 80 Mr (45% magic damage reduction). Together with masteries items and runes you have around 200 ap and 38 + 8% magic pen. You'll lower your enemies Mr to 35.6 (26% magic damage reduction).
The Chart is more steep now, this means that you'll do a lot of damage if the enemy is full and this will greatly decrease as the enemy loses hp. This is a strong poke until the enemy is 50% then is rather a mediocre one, remember that you should try to combo the enemy if he is 50-60% hp and even 70% if you are a bit ahead.
Venomous bite will do a lot of damage, and with one or two Q's plus AA from you and your spiderlings he should be dead. Remember that you'll do a extra 5% damage if you have Executioner and he is below 50% hp.
Neurotoxin/Venomous bite Late Game Damage
You are lvl 16 and you should have all your core items, Abyss, Rylai's and Liandrys, you also have 2 dorans and Sorcerer shoes. Your enemy has 2500 hp and 100 Mr (50% magic damage reduction). Together with masteries items and runes you have around 330 ap and 38 + 8% + 20 (abyss) magic pen. You'll lower your enemies Mr to 35.6 (26% magic damage reduction). Enemies stats do not belong to a tank, you should never focus tanks. Yet there are cases when you face a 3k 3.5k midder, like swain or a tanky one suck as ryze, but there are also cases when you fight a squishy 2k hp veigar or leblanc with less than 100 mr.
Your ap affect the % damage, this means that as you increase your ap the chart will be steeper, but you'll do always do 170.2 damage with Venomous bite to a full health target no matter how many ap you have (if they still have the same mr). The fact that the chart becomes steeper means that you won't be doing much damage around 50% hp, this is where you should damage with your W's and use your Q's when he is full or low. This is how elise combo works, so as so maximize damage dealt.
This is really a killing skill, don't bother to use is if the enemy is not below 50% hp cause u won't do damage. Your damage will increase a lot if your enemy is lower and viceversa. Spam this skill when you enter in spider form always focusing the lowest opponent.
Final comments: The gap of damage between a healthy target and a low one will be much more as the game goes on, early on you'll do almost the same damage to an opponent with 50% 60% and even 70% hp but later on the difference will be much bigger, making your Q's deal a lot of damage to full and low opponents but not that much to half hp enemies (use your W's here).
Important Note: Extra damage from Havoc and Executioner from masteries are not calculated and you'll obviously do a bit more damage if you have them. Liandrys DoT is not calculated as well.
What stats should I buy as Elise?
Best stats for Elise
Ap: All of her abilities scale off ap, ap ratios on W (human form) are decent and the scaling ap with your ult (0.3 ap) will boost your AA damage specially when W (spider form) is active, yet you do not make that much AA. The problem is in her Q, both human and spider, and her W in spider form. Q's scaling ap (0.03 % ap) and W in spider form (0.02 ap) are really mediocre. Obviously building ap on her is a must but you wont end a game with 700-800 ap like a karthus would, you will probably be around 500 ap. AP in spider form is useless if you get 1 shot when you get close to them. Having Ap late game is awesome but early you need resistances and Magic pen.
Magic pen: Season 3 update came with a lot of changes in how penetration works, now on season 3 % pen applies first, then flat pen. This is a huge buff that makes you able to get void staff and flat pen with much better results. I try to have as much magic pen as possible cause it will skyrocket the damage of your Q, with masteries, runes, sorcerer shoes, abyssal scepter and haunting guise you will have 39+20 from abyssal and 8% from masteries. This will make you do almost true damage to enemies with 80 mr. % damage scales better with magic pen than Ap. I believe Magic pen is the best stat for Elise atm. You can also get void staff instead of abyssal (they still don't work well together) together with haunting guise sorc shoes masteries and void you'll have 46% + 39 magic pen, this means that you'll reduce 100 mr to 13, 200 mr to 65.
CDR: Another great stat in someone with 6 abilities, you'll be able to spam them, more Q's more stuns faster stance switch. Never go over 20% if you are going mid cause you'll get blue (+20%CRD), CDR caps at 40%. You can also go CRD masteries to spam even more your spells.
MS: Mobility is a must in every assassin you need to be able to sick to targets or get out fast of sticky situations. Rappel is awesome but is has long CD and you won't be able to use it more than once in a fight.
Hp,Mr,Amor: You need to be a bit bulky otherwise you'll die in a split second without being able to unleash your full potential, you are probably getting Ap items that also give you defensive stats suck as abyssal, rylai's (maybe RoA).
Item BuildsBefore you start your build you should think some details, does your team has damage? does your team has tank or bulky champs? does the enemy team has tons of AD? tons of AP? balanced? Is my lane tough? Who is fed? You can ask yourself all this questions and this will help you building your items in a smart way.
Relevant item changes for elise in season 3 update.
Biggest buff: % penetration now applies first than flat pen. This means that items like void staff or the % magic pen from masteries now synergies better with flat magic pen. This means that although sorcerer shoes, haunting guise and void staff magic pen have been nerfed, they still do more damage because of how penetration works.
-12 MR but a bit cheaper. Small Nerf
-9 armor, -100 mana, 325 more gold. Nerf
a bit more expensive but the on hit damage is now 15 +10% ap (from flat 20 damage). Buff
-18 armor, -8 mr. Nerf
400g cheaper, -150 mana, -2% MS, no more MR passive has changed, 50+75% ap on next hit (instead of 100% ap) the new passive is better between 0-200ap. Yet not the damage is magical, so you can actually do more damage than before, in al phases early, mid and late. A bit more damage yet it gives no mr. Neither buff or nerf.
A bit cheaper +5 AD, -5 ap, -5% lifesteal, active changed from flat 300 damage to 150+40% ap, the new passive CD is lowered by your AA. New passive is better if you have more than 360 ap. Neither buff or nerf.
-5 magic pen. Small Nerf.
It gives 100 ap, 15% CDR, and an active with 15% damage from enemies total hp and also a 20% increased damage from all your abilities in the next 4 secs. Huge Buff.
-5 magic pen. Small Nerf.
200 gold cheaper. Small Buff.
-75 mana, costs slightly cheaper. Small Buff.
400 gold cheaper -20 ap - 5% extra ap from passive. Huge Nerf.
-5% magic pen. Small Nerf.
with the season 3 update all champions have 25 more MS and boots give you 25 less MS, this is why boots are not that strong of a starting items as in season 2. If you get Dornas, together with ap runes and masteries you'll have around 40 ap at level one making your poke a bit stronger. If you are against heavy skill shot based champions such as xerath or brand boots and pots may be wise.
It depends on how much money you have, you should never back below 1000 gold, except you are getting raped and you need hp. If you have 1000-1100 go and , if you have 1200-1400 go , and if you are doing incredibly well last hitting or you got a kill (1500-1600) go , and .
If you are getting destroyed yo may wanna get or , otherwise go or if you want the CDR. You can also rush or if you really wanna lower the enemies damage.
Even more boots upgrades
The extra MS is nice but I think Furor gives better results. Idk why you would buy this instead of furor.
Your tank should get this not you. You won't be leading your team.
The extra CDR for flash is good but I think extra mobility is better. This synergies well with utility masteries.
I always buy this, this will let you kite better and also sick much more on targets. Best enchantment for an assasin. You can also escape better, together with rylai's slow and the MS buff from furor you'll run away from a lot of situations.
The extra MS when you come back from base is crazy and you'll be back in lane (if you are mid) in 8 secs after you recalled. This item is awesome but I rather take the extra mobility for figthing. You may take this if you are mid and you are gonna afk farming. Together with boots of mobility and this you'll have around 1000 MS for 8 secs, this is awesome for junglers.
When to buy enchantments? I usually get this after some dorans and even after haunting guise or revolver. The extra mobility they give is awesome and make boots much stronger. You can also build this after your first core.
(Liandrys only core if you are winning lane)
If you are against an ap you can get to get some defences and damage at the same time, if you are doing really well get and then (liandrys will do an extra 5% dot damage with rylai's slow. If you are top I recommend you going and then to maximize damage).
Abyssal will lower the enemies mr, give you ap and also a lot of mr to survive burst champions such as or, together with haunting guise, sorcerers shoes, runes and masteries you'll end up doing a huge bunch of damage to most of the enemies and at the same time being a bit tankier vs mages. You can get Void Staff instead of abyssal but you are gonna be squishier and easily bursted. With the season 3 update void staff works really well with flat magic pen (not with abyssal).
Rylais will make you tankier, give you ap and also give you an incredible passive. As elise, rylais slow comes really handy it will allow you to combo and stick to target much easier. Rylais passive is what makes this item better than RoA, and the fact that you have to wait 10 min for RoA to become fully effective.
Liandrys If you are mid this is core together with abyss and rylais, you should rush this if your lane is weak and you think you can kill him with the extra damage. To make full effectiveness of this item, get a rylais. Rylais slow will make your liandrys dot 5% more damage, increasing from 5 to 10 %. If your lane has a lot of burst avoid rushing this item, you can rush haunting guise and then abyss, when you finish the abyss you can finish you liandrys torment. Liandrys passive will proc with your spiderlings AA and your AA if you have the Spellsword masteries from offense.
Good items for Elise
BREAKING NEWS this item is Op as shit for some mages ATM, champions like ,, and of course can really exploit this item. This item was intended to be for champions such as pantheon or talon, yet its really broken in some mages. Riot will likely do something about this at some point, till then, we can all enjoy a new AD build for our AP carries. You should rush at your first back and stack it ASAP, you can stack it using your ult (you should have it stacked around min 20-25). Together with your massive AS steroid your end up destroying your enemy and also your Q's will do more damage (around 100-150 more). Your spider form damage will hugely increase (speciallt when using your W). I recommend having blue if you are going for muramana otherwise you'll end up oom in every teamfight. I've tested this item in a few matches and the damage output it does is huge. I expect nerfs for this item.
I always get one or two of this, they are amazing they give a lot of early potential. You'll need all the stats, mana regen and ap for better harass and hp for survivability. This is a cheap item considering the stats you gain.
This item is more effective top where your enemies can harass you a lot, you'll need the extra hp this item provides. Poke, poke and poke it's ok if you receive a little damage you can always heal yourself after (go into spider W and last hit with Q). This is a very good item and will give you a lot of lane control.
I almost always buy this after my dorans, it provides amazing stats and you can upgrade it later on. You'll have 38 magic pen (with runes) and 8% from masteries. You'll end up doing true damage to your lane, this will destroy your enemy. This is a very aggressive item that will give you full control of the lane and will open a lot of opportunities for kills. I love this item.
This item is awesome, you should get it after Rylai's if you are against someone AD, it gives you tons of ap, armor and a really nice passive. You can combo zhonyas with rappel to have 4 seconds of inmortality and reset all CD's. With this passive and rappel you can really annoy enemies on teamfight making them constantly change focus and maybe saving your life.
You should get this item after rylai's+liandrys/abyss+rylai's if you are going mid, it's just necessary for every mid cause it will make you a real threat to the enemy, you can also buy this item in top but I think there are better items (you'll have a ap mid in your team already you don't need to go full damage).
With season 3 updates you can actually get this as your second or third item, the passive is amazing and will make your burst even deadlier. Choose between this and DFG. With the season 3 update, this item does 50+75% ap after using an ability, this is a small buff for early game, but it also does magical damage so it will scale with your magic pen, this will greatly increase your mid and late game damage. You should only rush this item if you are mid and you have a tanky team.
Don't buy this if you are top this item works really well with nuking champions and you won't be able to nuke as good if you are top. You should choose between this item and Lich Bane. The active of this item will work well if you wanna nuke down 1 specific target you can get this item after liandrys to maximize damage and to destroy squishy targets. ALWAYS use DFG active as your first ability (you'll damage him 15% of his max hp and also 20% more damage for your other abilities for 4 sec) I think this item is broken and riot will nerf it soon.
You can get this as the last item if you are mid, or after core+zhonyas if you are top. The passive this item gives is amazing, enemy will think twice before focusing you. This item stats were nerfed a bit in season 3 but it's still a viable choice.
I like this item when im facing teams that need AS, you can grab this vs champions as or that are really affected by the passive. It also gives CDR that's always good. You should avoid this item if you are mid or the enemy has lots of AP.
If you are getting fed, you'll love this item. Get it only if you are top and after rylai's. Your damage both in spider and in human will greatly increase and you'll destroy the enemy laner. It also gives sustain that is always good. The stats this items gives were nerfed a bit in season 3, yet the passive has been greatly buffed. Now the passive deals 150 + 40 % of your ap, it also slows by 40% for 2 sec. Your AA lower the CD of this item. If you like items with active abilities you'll love this.
You can go this item instead of abyssal if you think you won't need the Mr and they have a tanky team. Together with some flat magic pen you'll do a lot of damage, this is the best item if you wanna nuke anyone 100-0, rylais, haunting guise, magic pen boots and void staff is a heavy offensive build and you'll kill anyone in one combo, yet i don't recommend this if you are top, your team lacks bulky champs or you are inexpirienced with elise.
Not that good but possible
The ap, mana, armor and CDR are great, you can get this item if you are top and you need the extra armor, the buff in the AA damage is almost useless in elise but the slow is awesome. Don't get rylai's with this item. I don't buy this because rylai's is better, however you can get this if the enemy has crazy AD.
This is a cheap item and the stats are great, the active is good but rylai's should do the work. You'll probably end up selling this item later on in the game for something more powerfull. This is still a good item for elise, you can get this instead of rylai's if you still need more Mr.
This might help vs heavy Ap team yet I believe that you should be fine with mercury treads, and abyssal. It's better to focus on damage.
If you are playing normals go ahead and have fun with this item, if not I don't recommend it cause is a very risky item, if you can get kills is awesome, if not its a waste of money.
The CDR is good the Ap is decent but you don't need the mana regen, I think there are better choices out there. I would only buy this item if the enemy team has a lot of heals of champions like mundo or swain. If the enemy is below 40% your abilities will make their heals much weaker. This could actually help, however ignite does the same effect.
I think rylai's is much better, this item needs to wait 10 min for their full effectiveness, you can go both rylai's and RoA but then you should buy RoA first and that wont help you early game when you need to snowball.
If you wanna do more damage in spider form just go hextech gunblade, it gives you more ap, more ad, and better sustain. You don't need the proc from the sheen or the phage.
This item is a possibility if you have somebody like vlad in your team that can buy another Wota they stack really well together, otherwise I think it's just a waste of gold.
If the enemy team has huge CC you should get this, it will remove any CC and also heal you. This is an improvement of Quicksilver sash. This will also give you some mana and mana regen.
You can upgrade your revolver into this, the CDR is good so as the ap. This is a strong item if you are gonna splitpush or stay in lane long time, but you'll probably end up selling this later on.
Bad for Elise
This will make you a bit tankyer, but the tenacity is useless. If you need to be tankyer and reduce CC you should get mercuries and some resistances. This items is to expensive for the few stats it gives.
You don't need mana, its a waste of gold.
Again, you don't need mana or mana regen, the CRD may be good but there are much better items.
This item is bad for elise, it's really expensive and you won't do much AA with elise. If you really want AS and AP get nashors tooth.
This item is cheap and gives great AS. If you wanna focus the spider form get this, thought I think nashors tooth is better.
If you really want AP and AS you should get this item. I don't recommend cause you don't need AS that bad its better to get defences, magic pen or more ap.
You can actually combo this with nashors tooth and your AS will go fucking crazy, yet you lose a lot of damage in human form and close your 6 spells down to 3.
Frozen hearth is just better, it gives CDR and mana, the active is great but you should not be in the middle of a fight.
How should your final build look like
Against Heavy Ap: or
If the enemy has an a heavy ap top and someone ap in the junlge like mumu or fiddle you should go this build. It will help you survive huge bursts and to become more effective in teamfights.
Against Heavy Ad:
If the enemy has both top and jungle ad you should get some armor fast or you are gonna get raped. Try to avoid getting bursted by the ap mid cause you won't have that much mr. You can get sorcerer or ionian boots if you wanna deal more damage.
Balnced Team: or
Standart teams, adc support bot, Ap mid, Ap/hybrid/Ad top, Ad/hybrid/Ap jungler. Ga is a great item for this situations, you can also get it before rabadons if you are getting focused.
Maximun damage: or
If your team is already bulky (imagine you have leona support, mao jungle and top malph) but lacks damage. This build is very risky and you'll need a lot of positioning. The awesome part of this build is that you can dish out immense amounts of damage and everyone will be scared of you. This is the best build for elise if you have a team that can protect your ass.
Early GameLvl 1:Wait before you level up your first ability, if you are gonna invade, go for stun if you are defending go for W and if nothing happens max Q when you arrive to lane. Elise has a strong lvl 1 because of her stun 1.5 secs is a lot and may get your team the first blood. If you got Q don't worry, because you have 2 spells at lvl 1 (3 if you count ultimate)your lvl 1 fights will be awesome. Try to invade as elise (never alone, always with the help of your team).
You really shine on early lane phase, yet as every champion YOU SHOULD FOCUS ON FARMING 1 cs is better than a harass, the harass can wait, the cs can't.
Mid Lane Phase
Lvl 1-6: You are really powerful early on, you have 6 abilities while the enemy has only 3, try to take an advantage on this levels harassing as much as possible. Mid lane is the place of Ap champions, a lot of them such as Ahri and Brand depend on landing their skill shots, so buying mobility and dodging their spells is vital for winning the lane. You should take an advantage of champions with weak early game such as Kassadin or Ryze, cause later on they'll be a pain in the ass. Harass as much as possible without losing cs, you should also dodge enemy harass. If you have mana and your enemy stands in a vulnerable possition, try to stun and combo him down, you'll end up doing a lot of damage. Try to abuse from melee champions suck as Fizz and Gragas harassing them as much as possible and always keeping them around 50-60% hp. Before they get lvl 6 you have the advantage on almost every lane.
Pre lvl 6 ganks on mid lane are kinda hard to acomplish, you should be safe unless they have an aggressive jungler such as shaco. You always have your flash if things go rough. Most junglers focus on top lane early on because of this.
Lvl 6-10: At this point they got their ult and they'll have a slight advantage over you. Most mids have a CC spell, always try to dodge this cause if they stun you they can combo you pretty hard. Don't spam your W unless you have blue and try to hit the enemy, not the minions cause you'll end up pushing and dying because of ganks. You should always have at least one side of the river warded, i personally like the dragon side to have a bit more control over it. If the jungler comes to gank you, try to rappel away, you can even rappel to wraiths if done correctly. At this point you can kill anybody with 70% hp or less, if you can land your full combo. You can also ward the bush that leads towards their blue, so if you see them going to their blue you can surprise them getting a kill and a fresh blue. Make sure he does not see you coming. You should also make wraiths whenever they are up, just rappel to them and Q W they die in a split second. If you can get blue you should zone the enemy with your W if he gets near you can stun W and Q, only do this if you have your lane warded or the enemy jungler is somewhere else. If you can't get kills from your lane try pushing and roaming. Elise is a really good roamer due to her gapcloser, stun and damage.
Top Lane Phase
Lvl 1-6: On the land of bruisers Elise is the Queen. Elise has a really good time a top, he can easily poke down her opponent without receiving much damage. You are ranged so use your Q and AA as a poking source, also try to take control of bushes, making you much less vulnerable to harass. You can zone most of champions early on such as , and , abuse their weak early and don't let them last hit. However you should be really careful and don't engage in fights, just poke. If jax jumps into you or darius pulls you try to stun them down and then Q W, and back off. Don't underestimate their damage cause they can harm you a lot. Lot of junglers such as Lee or Mao can gank you early on. Do not push your lane and always be aware where the jungler might be, as your first back you should always buy a ward. Warding top lane is really important if you want to zone your laner. If they are open for a stun go for it and combo them down, you'll hurt them a lot.
Lvl 6-10: If you've done things correctly you should have more farm than your opponent thus more gold and more items. Keep poking him down but be really careful, some champions such as Darius can really destroy you if they combo you down. Fighting at this levels are often small 1v1 to 2v2 skirmishes where a jungler or solo laner comes to an adjacent lane to gank. You should always coordinate with your jungler and focus the same target otherwise you'll both die. if you are getting focused use rappel so they change target, then drop and kill the one that has lower hp. Keep farmin and denying enemies farm, do not destroy the enemies tower if you are winning the lane, just keep the wards up and farm. If you are fighting always try to dodge the biggest sources of damage with your rappel. You won't be able to roam that much at top lane, so you need to focus on CS.
Mid Lane Phase
lvl 11-16: There are 3 possibilities, you are owning your lane, nobody is winning or you are losing. If you are losing your lane try to push out and roam as much as possible. Try to destroy tower so as so leave the lane and start roaming through all the map, and maybe getting some objectives such as dragon and other lanes towers. If the lane is even and you know you can't kill the enemy, just push and gank top or bot, then farm some waves from mid and repeat the process. If you get a double on bot you and your team should try to get dragon. If you are winning your lane, try to get as much kill as possible from your lane, don't let him farm and follow him if he goes for blue or if he goes to gank another lane. Your nuke is really strong in this phase of the game, you can nuke 100-0 almost anybody if you surprise him. Always go fro blue and try to steal the enemy blue as well. Remember that you are squishy and if you get caught by surprise it will be hard for you to escape. Keep farming, get wraiths get blue and try to get all the kills you can.
Top Lane Phase
lvl 11-16: Farm, farm and farm, you should stick to top lane and control your lane as much as possible (unless you are getting raped). If you are getting raped try to push and to destroy tower, you can also gank mid and get some jungle creeps if you are behind. Get tower and push as much as possible, don't let your laner free farm and remember to always get wards. Your team will probably engage in small 3v3 and even 4v4, if you are on top when this happens push your lane so as to control your top laner. If he goes to the fight you have to options, you can either follow him or push and get towers. You can split push and take a tower maybe 2. If you are gonna do this you need at least 2 wards on the enemy jungle, otherwise you'll die a lot. With your core items you can dish out a lot of damage and also push a lane very fast. Your W in spider form fucks towers, you can drop them really hard. Never 1v1 champions like or cause they will destroy you, unless you are super fed. Teams will group up for dragon fights and to push towers always remember to dodge the biggest damage income and to poke as much as possible in human form before the fight starts. Warding their blue or red may be wise if you want to surprise the enemy jungler, steal their buff and maybe kill them.
Late GameMost of Late game will focus on team fight. Much of the information of late game is on Team fights chapter.
Lvl 17-18: Laning has ended a long time ago and you and your team should focus on baron or pushing. Wards and Oracles are your best friends at this point of the game, try to help your team buying some wards and maybe an oracle if your team does not have one. This is the the hardest part of the game for elise, you should always poke down with your W, when someone (your tank or the enemy tank) engages you should instantly Q W the best target available (not the tank) and jump into spider someone you can nuke but without putting yourself in danger. Try to save rappel for escaping not for engaging, unless their adc or mid is in 10% hp and you wanna finish the kill. If you are mid I recommend staying longer on human form and throw as many spells as possible. If you are top you should be takyer and you can jump into the enemy (not in the middle of their team, to a safe target).
Elise is a beast in jungle fights her rappel makes her do whatever she wants, try to fight on jungle if you can.
At this point of the game an ace can make you win or lose so you have to very clever in how to position.
Baron buff will heavily help the team that gets it, you'll be able to poke and to receive more damage because of your increased health regen. Elise is does a lot of damage to baron because of the spiderlings, together with your team you can kill him really fast.
Elise is really good at catching people with cocoon, if your team follows up you'll surely kill him and go for a 4v5. Always walk as a team cause a teamfight can break in any moment. Don't get caught cause it can cost you the game.
Before Teamfight Starts
Try to get blue and to group with your team, you should not fight if your team does not have all their ults up ( without his ult is kinda worthless in teamfights). Try to poke as much as possible with W, this spell has a lot of range so this should be easy. Never get to close for a ww ult or a morgana snare or you'll die instantly. Try to have wards on bushes and a support with oracle on your team (this fights usually take place in baron or dragon). If you see an enemy out you position don't be afraid and try to stun him, if you can hit him and your team is smart they will kill the enemy instantly and start a fight in a 4v5.
What to do
There are a lot of different ways to be effective in teamfights and they all depend on the situation, are you fed? are they focusing you? your adc is fed? your team is losing? the enemy is out of position? You should be smart and react according to the situation. You should never take decisions alone if your team does not follow just back off, if you die it will be your fault and not your team cause they "didn't follow". Almost always the best decision is to stick together.
Ways to be effective in teamfights:
This should be easier is you are top cause you'll be able to take a bit more damage without dying. If you feel you can nuke the ad carry or ap carry in one combo you should try to focus them, specially if their team lacks CC. You can't jump in a middle of a fight focusing the adc cause they'll destroy you in a split second, you should wait in a bush or behind your team, poking and when enemies hard cc like malph ult is down, you can jump into the adc. Always start your combo in human form and try to save your rappel if they flash or you need to escape. This works better if you have someone in your team that can jump into the enemy such as jax or irelia, if you focus the same target, he'll die really fast.
If you are mid you are going to be squishier and you may not be able to jump into adc face just coordinate with your team and nuke down fast the intended target, this may be wukong, irelia, jayce typical top lane bruisers. I don't recommend this if their adc is fed cause he'll destroy your entire team. You should also do this if an enemy jumps into your team all alone cause their team couldn't follow that fast (this happens a lot in low elo, I've seem million of jax or wukong jumping into an entire team 2 or 3 secs before their team arrives).
Protecting your ADC:
If your adc is super fed, or it's vayne or kog you should do this. Just stick to adc, block skill shots, follow him and kill anyone that gets near to your adc. You shouldn't chase someone leaving your adc unprotected it's better to let the kill go away and to protect your adc from the evil enemy bruisers. The bad thing about this is that if your adc does not know how to position he'll end up dying really fast and protecting him will be impossible.
This is hard to do in solo queue cause a lot of people don't understand all the benefits splitpushing does. You may be splitpushing and your team engages a 4v5, just because, and then they'll blame you cause you where not there. Make sure your team understands that you will splitpush and that they need to avoid figthing. YOU SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE AT LEAST 2 WARDS IN THE ENEMY JUNGLE IF YOU WANNA DO THIS.
3 things can happen:
1) The enemy does not give a fuck and ignores you. They'll probably try to force desperately a 4v5 fight with your team, if your team is smart they'll back of and gain you some time so you can get some towers. If your team is stupid they'll engage and die all 4, this is why this is a risky play in solo queue.
2) The enemy will send somebody to stop you, if they send the support laugh at their face and kill him. They may also send someone as teemo of nid and most of times you'll have to back off. They can also send someone as the an adc, morgana or amumu (key champions for teamfights) your team should take an advantage of this and force a fight, the lack of an adc on the enemy team is worst than the lack of elise. Your team should win this teamfight.
3) The enemy team will send 2 people or more, try to kite this people (whiteout being killed) and get your team some time so they can engage a 4v3, 4v2 or even to take baron/towers.
If done correctly and with a clever team splitpushing is a great strategy.
- Important note: If you ace the enemy team you should aim for towers, even if you are in 100 hp, you should push and get towers(always back off if the enemy spawns). Baron should only be taken if you have enough teammates alive (unlikely if both teams were at even foot), because having 3 of your teammates only having the Baron buff isn't as effective. Push until they are near respawning, take red/blue buff if they are available, and recall. Try to recall 5-10 secs before they respawn cause they may attempt to rush baron, and you need your team to quickly recall get hp and protect baron.
Match UpsI'm gonna divide the difficulty if the lane intro 3, Easy Normal and Hard. Im also dividing each difficulty into 3 more. More swords= harder lane, yet > (2 bf is the half point where none of the champions has a clear advantage)
- Use human form for last hitting. CS is your main objective here, never lose a cs so as to harass, try to poke when you are not lasthitting.
- Poke with Q and with AA as much as possible (without getting minions agro for too long).
- Last hit with spider form and with Q (in spider form) under tower.
- If the enemy if farming under tower try to poke him hard, this is easy cause he won't be able to defend himself without losing cs.
- ALWAYS ward if you are pushing, get a ward and pots every time you go back to base(maybe 2).
- If your lane is tough try to destroy tower ASAP and then roam.
You are gonna face ahri on mid lane. She can be a thought lane or a very easy one if you can dodge her Orb. Go MS quints and max W you wont be able to kill her but she shouldn't either. If you are lucky your spiderlings can block a charm. You'll need blue and to farm a lot. If you can't kill her just push and gank. She is weak before lvl 6 you should take an advantage on this levels and maybe a kill.
You can face her mid or top, it's better if you face her top cause you'll be a bit more tankyer and will survive her burst. The key of winning this matchup is to always keep her low, max Q and spam it whenever you can, she is melee so this should be easy. Her early game sucks try to keep her low so she wont be able to jump on you when she hits 6. Farm, harass and if she jumps stun W Q and run away, if she keeps chasing go spider Q W and rappel if you need to escape or chase her. Buy lots of pots so you can sustain her harass. Go Ap quints and you can even start with a dorans ring.
You'll find anivia in mid, I'd say she has a slight advantage due to the fact she can clear waves super fast and farm safely behind minions. She also has an anti assassin passive that you'll hate and will make killing her almost impossible. Max W farm farm farm, you won't kill her. Always dodge her stun ever if you need to rappel out of it. Go MS quints. Before lvl 6 anivia sucks try yo burn her egg before she reaches 6 and maybe you'll be able to kill her later on. Ask for junglers help.
Abuse her before she reaches lvl 6, she shouldn't get to this lvl full, max Q go ap quits and harass her to death. Your Q does more damage than hers just make you avoid her stun. When she hits 6 you should be really carefull. I tend to buy and asap so as to survive her nuke. When you get this items this lane becomes much easyer.
He has a strong early and his pillar of flame does huge damage and has huge range, it can also kill all your spiderlings in 1 shot. Go MS quints and rush boots, you main target is to dodge harass and farm. If he ults rappel, it will cancel his ult, yet his passive will still hit you. You'll need help of the jungler or to dodge every single skillshot if you wanna kill him.
Max W and farm she has a strong poke so you should be constantly moving, if you are able to rappel her ult and jump into her you can kill her easily. Stand near minions so if she wants to harass she'll push lane and your jungler can gank her.
You can face him either mid or Top, you have the advantage top cause he tends to push a lot and your jungler can gank him better at top. Max Q abuse his early game and don't let him lasthit minions cause he'll gain hp back. Never fight as a spider vs cho unless he is under 40% hp and you are full, together with the silence, rupture ult combo he can nuke you down hard. If you can dodge his rupture you'll never lose. He can't spam spells cause he'll end up without mana unless he has blue. I recommend to ward his blue (if you are mid) and kill him if he tries to get it, or just steal it with the help of your jungler.
Max Q Poke him to death, you should only be worried about his pull, if he pulls you, stun him or rappel and GTFO or he will destroy you. If you think he wants to grab stun and W Q he'll back off. Scary champ yet it's easy for elise.
You have a slight advantage because you are ranged and she is melee. Max Q, Ap quints and harass her to death, dodge her Q and lasthit. She shouldn't be a problem if you are able to dodge her skillshots. If she jumps stun her and go W Q R Q W then back off. You can out burst her if you dodge her Q.
She is melee and she has no long range harass, abuse that hard, don't let her stand close to minions Q every time you can and she'll back off. If you can stun her go and combo her. You should be very careful when she goes mia cause if she catches you off guard you'll die. The other problem of eve is that the tends to roam a lot because of her passive and she can get kills in mid or top if your team does not buy pink wards. Try to push or to follow her when she goes mia. Buy pink wards instead of green. You should always win vs eve.
He has a super strong sustain, whenever he drains back off (don't rappel cause he'll still drain you from the air) or stun him if you can and combo him. Max Q and try to harass him, don't let him grab blue. Rappel his ult, you should destroy him easily if you can stop his drain with your stun. Warding bushes is a must to avoid surprise ults. Go either ap or ms quints.
You can destroy and deny fizz existence. Max Q and abuse the fact he is melee if he jumps to you back of and stun him when he lands, then Q W and back off. You can totally avoid his ult, Rappel 1 sec before his ult pops. You'll destroy fizz and he won't be able to do any damage to you. I believe Elise is a hard counter for fizz. Fizz also tend to build squishy so you can nuke him down 100-0 if you stun and ignite him.
Mid or Top you are gonna get fucked, he is super tanky you wont hurt him, you must rush mr if you want to survive his poke. Play safe, ask for junglers help and try to take and advantage from lvl 1-3 when you have the advantage try to rappel his ult in lane and in teamfights. The moment galio comes back into lane with a you are fucked. Avoid this matchup.
Poor Garen, he has no gap closer. Max Q and harass him all day, he is melee so this will be easy. If he tries to make something funny just stun Q W then back of. Never fight in spider form vs garen cause he can dish out a lot of damage, don't let him come close to you, stun and rappel is necessary. Go MS quints and always ward river cause he'll cry for ganks to their jungler.
This fat boy is a pain in the ass, he can farm from his tower practically and also poke you down. Max W don't use this spell if you are not gonna hit him, you'll end up pushing the wave. He has awesome mobility and you won't be able to catch him, even if you could he would nuke you in one second.
Tough lane you should focus in farming and ganking other lanes.
Max Q and harass him whenever you can, he will push the lane hard but you can also push it with both of your W's. If you stun him you can nuke a big chunk of hp. Never chase him under his towers they do a lot of damage, more than your spiderlings. If you get some Mr you can safely engage under his towers, rappel his blind. Easy lane.
You can dominate irelia but you can't afford to make a mistake, she is really easy to lane against but if you let her farm or you give her a kill she'll snowball like a god. Max Q and poke her early when she's weak try to keep her at 50% hp, if she keeps farming jump into her and nuke her down. You should be able to zone her early and take and advantage. I gave irelia a cause if you die she'll snowball like hell. Use the bushes and destroy her early.
His lvl 1 is shit, his lvl 2 is awesome (he gets the flag combo). He can dish a lot of damage and escape almost full. Try to rush armor and to play really safe against him. You should avoid getting knockup by this combo if you can do this he wont hurt you. Save your rappel for his ult and harass him when his combo is down. Ask your jungler to help you.
You can destroy jax, his kit is anti ad, just make sure you poke him down early and run whenever you think he's gonna jump. Max Q and poke him down specially early. Don't underestimate his burst and never go in a 1v1 as spider if you are both full, he'll destroy you. Jump at him when he is at 50% hp or less. Rush magic pen and you'll end up doing true damage. Easy lane for elise, I believe she is a hard counter for jax.
Easy lane if you can stand behind minions to block his shockwave. Max Q and harass him whenever you can, if he comes to do his melee combo you can punish him bad, stun him Q and W then R Q W then back off. If you can make this combo effectively he will never jump into you again. Easy lane if you can dodge his sockwave.
Max W and zone him, he is weak and wont do any damage if you dodge his Q. You should always ward at least one side of the river to avoid being ganked. His Q's will do half damage if you are on spider form cause it will also hit spiderlings. Dodge his ult with your rappel in lane and in team fights. He farms from his tower, he has a long poke that's why you max W so you can zone him effectively. His late game is scary but hopefully you can shut him down before that happens.
Max Q and harass like crazy early game, he is melee so this will be easy. Your Q has less CD that his silence so spam it whenever you can, you'll end up doing more damage and maybe getting a kill. Never let kass get blue or you'll be fucked up, he'll harass you with his ult and you won't be able too do nothing. Ward his blue and kill him if he goes for it. Hard lane but hopefully you can shut him early. Get to reduce his silence.
She'll rape your ass, nothing you can do just afk and wait for 20.
You should be able to handle this lane with no problems Max Q and harass whenever she goes for last hit. You can stun or rappel hes ult, that will cut her damage drastically. Try to deny kat from farming and buy lots of pots so you can sustain her harass. This is an easy lane and you should not lose this. If she shumpo towards you, stun then Q W then go into spider and Q W, rappel if she ults.
You'll face her in the top lane. She has a strong poke if she can land a few AA + the slow you'll take a lot of damage. I recommend maxing Q, harass and then back off, last hit go into the bush and then harass again. Don't let her slow you cause she'll do a lots of AA and if you try to come closer she'll just kite. Her Ult also prevents a lot of damage you should rappel or run when she ults. Her sustain is weak so if you harass her she'll be afraid of you jumping into her and she'll probably back off. If she stays try to stun her and unleash your combo. Hard matchup, it depends on the kayle and the ellise. Having this lane warded at all times is a must cause a death because of the jungler may leave you behind and make kayle snowball.
Try to stand behind minions and avoid getting hit by his shuriken. Max Q and harass whenever you can. The problem with kennen is that he can farm with his shuriken, he is also more powerful than you in teamfights. Try to escape with rappel from ult before you get stunned. If he is open for a stun go for it and try to combo then back off fast. In lane you have a small advantage yet in teamfight he destroys you.
You will probably face him top but he can also go mid. He is melee, no ranged harass and he'll ran you of mana if he spams all his spells. He'll probably abuse the bush because of his passive, try to do the same. If he comes close stun W Q the turn into spiderform and Q W, you will never be isolated because of your spiderlings and you should be able to kill him anytime. Zone him and get kills, this is an easy lane.
Her burst is insane, rush mr and don't let her hit 6 with full hp. Abuse her weak early and take an advantage here, you can even get a kill. You have to be really quick with rappel if you wanna dodge her combo, if you are lucky spiderlings will block the snare.
This man is a best, he has mobility, sustain, shield, poke, gapcloser, energy, slow and an annoying ult. Try to take an advantage of his only weakness, the fact that he is melee. His early is not that awesome (1-4) so try to control him at this levels. Max Q and play safe, after he get some items you won't be able to damage him because of his shield and his sustain, you'll end up oom. Avoid this matchup.
She has a strong burst and high range, yet all her skills are skill shots, buy boots ASAP and dodge everything you can. Max W and stay away from lux a single snare can destroy you. Try to rappel her ult and don't let her grab blue, ward it and kill her if she goes for it.
His passive is really strong against you and it will block a huge chunk of harass, yet you can still pass though that passive just keep harassing him non-stop. He won't be able to spam cause he'll end up without mana, don't let him grab blue and try to rappel his ult, not only in lane but also in teamfights. Max Q and get some mr if he is rapping you.
Hard counter for elise, he'll just spam his E and silence you if he can. If you go spider form he'll drop his full combo and destroy you. Max W for the fast wave clear. KEEP YOU'R DISTANCE AFTER LVL 6, he can nuke you down 100-0 with his ult and combo. You wont stop his E if you rappel, use this skill to get out fast from sticky situations. If his E catches any of your spiderlings go into human and your spiderlings will be k. Avoid this matchup if you don't wanna be denied.
His sustain is godlike, so as his wave clear potential. He'll also kill all your spiderlings with his alpha strike. Try to stun him when he heals and nuke him down. This should not be a hard lane, the problem with ap yi's is that they can heal from 10% to 100% in 2 secs. They also tend to push a lot so ask for your jungler to gank.
This guy is so annying, his shield will protect him from harass and he can kill all your spiders with his cone skill and at the same time completely charge his shield. Max Q and try to harass him when his shield is down, after lvl 6 there's no way you can kill him. If he ults GTFO and fight again later. Get revolver for the sustain and ask your jungler to gank cause he pushes a lot a has no escape mechanism.
She can still stun you with her ult if you rappel but you can get out of range is she ults. She'll just stay back and farm you won't kill her and you won't be able to harass her. Max W push lane and roam, this is the only way you'll get kills vs morg.
He has strong sustain with his passive yet you have better harass. Max Q and abuse the fact he is melee. If he slows you wait till he is near then stun W Q and back off. This combo will hurt him a lot. Zone him with your Q and buy magic pen to maximize damage and to make him hug his tower. Always ward cause a gank with nasus slow may be deadly. Nasus shines let game, make sure you can destroy his early and mid. Remember his ult gives him a lot of hp so be careful if you are gonna towerdive.
AP / AD
Ap nid is much easier than Ad nid. If you lane against ap nid make sure you dodge her spears, stand behind minions and harass her whenever you can. If she jumps in tiger form just stun W Q turn into spider and Q W. This will nuke her hard.
Ad nid is much harder, she'll go top and her passive will work really well with top bushes. Ad nid also max her heal first so harassing her may become somehow useless later on. You should still try to harass her whenever you can and try to have the bush control, this will make you win the lane. Try to kite her if she goes into tiger stance, stun her is necessary.
Easy piecy, he won't be able to touch you, just max Q and harass him to death. Try to dodge axes and if you see him coming for some AA after he hit you with his axe just stun Q W and run. Never let him AA you since he can dish a lot of damage and his passive will destroy you. Zone him and take as many kills as possible. He can ult out of your stun, but you'll have your stun in another 15 sec he has to wait 1 min.
Her range is huge, her combo and poke is strong she also has a MS buff and a shield. You won't be able to harass her and you'll have to be dodging her balls all lane if you don't wanna get poked down to death. Try to dodge her ball and then poke her down when her CD's are off. You can rappel her ult but this is really hard (you have +/- 0.5 secs). Max W and focus on farming, it's better to push and roam.
His early is really strong and his spear has similar CD and damage as your Q. Use bushes and try to Q him without receiving a spear in the face. Don't get stunned and try to combo him down if he is open for a stun. The one that's able to get more Q on the enemy will win the lane. You can rappel his ult and get out of the area fast, or just to avoid the fall damage.
Her passive is broken, you'll not be able to nuke her down yet her lane is awfull. Take an advantage on early levels and harass her as much as possible she won't be able to touch any cs. If you see her trying to position to stun you against a wall, stun her and do your full combo. Her ult is scary later in the game so make sure you can deny her early and mid game. Max Q and get 2 dorans, you'll need the extra mana regen.
His early is awesome, he can do a lot of damage and escape easily. Max Q and harass him whenever you can. Don't get stunned cause he'll unleash his full combo on you and nuke you down. Rush armor and try to stun him if you see him coming. His ult is really strong for 1v1 so be careful on this little fights. Remember he can slice throw a minion then dash towards you. If his combo is down poke him as much as possible.
He has great sustain and a huge nuke. Try not figthing if you see him with 4-5 ferocity, wait till he uses that ferocity before fighting. Poke him as much as possible and try to have the bush control. Never fight a 1v1 if he is full he will kill you very fast. Killing rengar is hard specially when he gets his ult. DON'T FIGHT IN BUSHES. Max Q.
Her mobility is awesome, so as her 1v1. Don't fight her just poke, max Q and try to harass her when her shield is down. You can bait her shield, wait till it goes off and then harass (this may be hard cause her shield CD is really low). Get some armor and pots and avoid her AA, stun her if necessary. Riven is a tough champion yet if you play correctly she can't touch you.
He is rather weak until he reaches lvl 3, then he'll destroy you. His fire will kill all your spiders, he also has a shield and a slow making him a very hard champion to lane against. harass him when is fire is on CD and back immediately cause if he slows you he can dish out a lot of damage. He has no sustain before revolver so try to take an advantage on early levels. Try to rappel his ult and if you can stun him in lane do it, unleash your full combo and go b before he can burn you.
He is really tanky, has sustain and his harass is stronger if he can Q snare Q. Max Q and ask your jungler for help cause ryze has no escape mechanism. This is the best way yo get kills from him. Get your core items ASAP and spell vamp also helps.
Just avoid getting tauted and you'll be k. Max Q and harass him whenever you can. Same as riven, try to bait his shield and Q after his shield wears off. You can actually stop his ult with your stun so you need to constantly watch your minimap, if a fight goes on it's very likely that shen wants to ult over there so stick to shen and stun him if he ults. Always put pressure on this lane and don't lose sight of shen.
Easy lane, just harass him to death and avoid getting flinged. His poison can do a lot of damage so don't chase him. He is melee so you can destroy his weak early, stun and combo him if he wants to fling. Max Q and don't let him farm.
Ap / Ad
Ap sion is a bit easier that Ad. If you are laning against an ap sion max Q and always back off when he uses his shield, he'll probably try to stun you. Get out of range and then when his shield goes off harass him. Combo him whenever you can but never fight under his ult. You should harass him a lot cause he has no natural sustain (apart from ult), he shouldn't be able to kill you.
Ad sion is a bit stronger cause he can stun you and then destroy you with some AA. Get rylai's and kite him as much as possible, NEVER fight under his ult cause he'll get more hp than the damage you can deal. Combo him and then back off, when your CD are up combo him again. Max Q and harass him as much as possible. Get 2, maybe 3 dorans for the mana regen and hp.
This guy is a nightmare, all his damage are Dots so rappel won't do anything (maybe dodging snare). His ult gives him crazy sustain and his damage is huge. His skills have the same range as your Q so whenever you Q he'll combo your face. Build extra tankyness and deny him from getting blue. If he gets blue he'll rape you like never before. Max Q and ward his blue.
Her balls have no cast time so she can actually poke you and you won't be able to harass her. Get boots and mobility ASAP max W and harass her whiteout pushing the wave. She is similar to malz in some aspects, her 1v1 burst is really immpressive, don't underestimate her. You can rappel in the middle of her ult and you'll avoid half of the damage, always try to do this. Her stun is really hard to land so make sure you can dodge it.
Rush zhonyas, max Q and harass him to death. If you constantly poke him down he won't be able to jump you cause he'll be dead if he does. This is not a hard lane, yet you should play smart cause a single death may give talon the opportunity to snowball and rape you.
He is annoying and a strong pick against Elise, he'll AA you whenever he can making your laning phase a nightmare. Max Q and harass him when you can. Don't let him AA you if you have your Q on CD, just stay behind minions and wait for CD. Your rappel won't save you from shrooms or his dot, and his blind can block a lot of damage if he blinds while you W in spider form. Max Q cause he can blind your steroid.
The problem of this matchup is that tf has an amazing ult and he can get fed at other lanes. Make sure you tell your team when he hits 6 but apart from that there's not much you can do. Max Q and dodge his cards (shouldn't be hard) If you see him charging his stun or slow back off until he waste it on cs. Try to harass him without receiving too much damage. You'll pretty much beat him in trades and you can nuke him down 100-0 with a stun and ignite.
Poor udyr he'll cry all game long, he has no gapcloser and wont be able to touch you. Max Q and run if he attempts to stun you. Never fight him in spider unless he is really low. Poke, poke, poke and you should win easily. Don't underestimate his damage cause if he catches you he'll hit you hard.
He is not that strong in lane, get mercury and rush mr, this will save your life. Get magic pen instead of ap. Max Q and harass him as much as possible. Veigar is not that strong against elise cause you are tankyer than normal Ap mids. You can also rappel hit ult cutting his damage drastically. You should always win vs veigar, just remember his nuke is really strong but he is also squishy as hell.
Vi is very similar to jax, she is an awesome champion, she can nuke you down 100-0 however she is melee and easily kited. Max Q and poke her as much as possible, don't stand behind minions so you can avoid her punching AOE damage. She has not a real gap closer besides ult and a sort of dash, yet you'll be able to notice when she is going in. When you see her charging her dash back off, if she can combo you up you'll take a lot of damage. Stun and combo is she gets to close. This is a very easy lane and you should take advantage of it.
He is not a very popular champion yet he is pretty stong. His stun is really good, and his ap ratios are crazy. Always try to dodge his lazer and rappel his ult. Don't get caught in the middle of his stun cause he'll unleash his full combo and will probably destroy you. Try to bait his ult and instantly rappel away, then wait for CD and fight again, you should be able to kill him. You may want to max W cause it's safer.
I love this matchup, elise and vlad are very similar champions in some aspects, both of your Q have similar range damage and CD. The key of winning this matchup is to land more Q than him. Use the bush for this Q him and back off, go back only if you have your Q CD up again. Rappel his ult and only jump as a spider if you are going for the kill. The winner of this matchup will be the one that's able to land more Q. If you see him using his Q at a minion run like crazy and Q him. Max Q for obvious reasons.
He is pretty fast but you should be able to win this lane. Stun him and combo if he runs towards you. After some Q's he wont chase you again. Never chase him or fight if his passive is up. You should pop his passive and then back off. Fight him only if his passive is down otherwise you won't kill him. Max Q and harass him whenever he tries to cs.
He may be strong cause he has a lot of sustain, but he'll run oom really fast. Make sure you zone him so he can't heal to minions. Don't fight him in spider form cause he can dish out a lot of damage and his ult is really strong. Just poke him as much as possible. Always ward river cause a gank may be deadly in combination with ww ult.
His combo hurts a lot but he won't be able to spam it or he'll be oom really fast. Harass him wiht Q and AA, don't let him lasthit peacefully. Be aggressive early on and be careful when he gets his ult. He can easily kill you if you don't play smart. If he jumps back off and poke him when he goes back.
His range is crazy and you won't be able to harass him. Don't let him stun you or you'll lose a big chunk of hp. Push lane and roam, try getting kills on other lanes cause you wont be able to kill xerath. You can rappel all his skills. If he misses his skills you can go and nuke him, stun Q W then spider Q W this should hit him really bad.
Easy lane, max Q and poke him to death. If he jumps, back off stun him and combo him down. You should be able to destroy him. You can always rappel if he is hurting too much. Abuse his lvl 1-3 when he does not have his combo. He should have used all his pots and should be around 60-80% hp by the time he hits lvl 6 if you can harass him. Keep doing this and only jump into him if he is 40% hp or less.
Biggest counter for Elise, he has infinite sustain, your harass won't do anything to him. He will heal through your Qs and out trade you if you fight him. The best (maybe the only) way to win this lane is if your jungler camps top. He tends to push a lot with his skills so tell your jungler you need help. Max W for sustain and to be able to push lane if necessary. He can zone you bad, avoid this matchup if you don't want to be raped.
His Q has ok damage and he can spam it because he has no mana. You should exploit the fact that he is squishy, poke him whenever you can and dodge his Q. Easy lane if you can dodge his harass. Max Q, you'll do a lot more damage than him.
All his skills are skill shots, make sure you rappel his ult and dodge his bombs, don't chase him over his minefield. Max Q and harass him. He has no escapes so if you manage to dodge his skills jump into him and nuke his ass.
You can rappel his bombs and you should win this lane. Your Qs are stronger than his bombs. The problem is that zilean has an amazing late game potential. You should deny his early and mid game, abuse the fact he is squishy. He does have great utility late game, and a really strong movespeed buff/debuff.
She is really stong, nice range, nice poke and awesome teamfight potential. Avoid getting snared or her plants will destroy you. Rappel her ult and dodge her skill shots. Max Q and harass her without getting snared. Your spiders can either attack her or kills the plants, yet she is a really strong pick against elise.
In the lane elise works well with junglers with high CC, you usually have enough damage to take you opponent and together with some CC you can safely hit your stun without missing, you also have rappel so as to follow your enemy if he flashes. Elise kit works really well with ganks. You also want the kills if your jungler ganks, and generally junglers with heavy CC will let you keep the kill (they don't need it).
With Elise you want 2 type of champions on your team, someone that can dunk and follow you to assassinate somebody, and also someone tanky with lots of CC to keep the enemies away from you when you do this.
One of my favorites dunk partners is jax, he is tanky an with some coordination you can rape anybody in 2 secs. Irelia and wukong also work prefect.
I like having mumu, leona, maplh, heca as a tank, hey have huge cc and a hard initiation perfect for you to be able to nuke somebody fast.
I also wanted to talk about morde cause he can be really useful in your team. If you have an "assassin parter" and morde in your team you'll have a huge advantage in teamfights. Coordinate with mord and your "assassin partner" to ult and focus down their adc, she should die inmmediatly. You'll also get a clone because of mords ult.
Elise Change Log
- Neurotoxin Ability Power ratio increased to 3% per 100 Ability Power from 2%
- Venomous Bite Ability Power ratio increased to 3% per 100 Ability Power from 2%
- Cocoon missile speed increased to 1450 from 1300
- Cocoon now reveals the target if it hits
- Spider Form bonus magic damage per attack Ability Power ratio increased to 0.3 from 0.2
Huge buff, both Q's deal significantly more damage, and spider form extra damage is also always good. Now Cocoon will be easier to land and will also revel target so you can use is to explore bushes (together with W).
- Fixed a bug where Volatile Spiderlings were only lasting for 2.5 seconds, rather than the intended 3 seconds
- Skittering Frenzy now immediately starts Elise attacking at her faster attack speed, rather than waiting until her next attack starts
Bug fix are always good, specially if those bug make you weaker. Skittering Frenzy fix is awsome, it now resets AA so you'll have all your 3 secs of crazy AS, you'll not have to wait for your previous atack to reset.
- Neurotoxin mana cost increased to 80/85/90/95/100 from 60
- Cocoon mana cost reduced to 50 from 65.
HUGE nerf, you can't spam Q's like there's no tomorow now, you have to razionalize then or you are gonna end up oom. Don't use Q before lvl 3, its a waste of mana compared to the damage done. Flask is better now since you need the mana sustain. The buff on cocoon is nothing compared to the neurotoxin nerf.
- Neurotoxin cast range reduced to 625 from 650
- Neurotoxin damage reduced to 40/80/120/160/200 from 50/95/140/185/230
- Venomous Bite damage increased to 60/110/160/210/260 from 50/95/140/185/230
Zzzz, another nerf, you may think,"yeah they are nerfing damage on neurotoxin but they are also buffing venomus bite for the same amount" yes, this is true, yet you use neurotoxin times as frequent as venomous bite. You lose some harras damage that at the end will sum up. Riot wants to stop the easy lane on elise making it riskier to get a kill (this nerf is only for lane elise).
Final CommentsWhen playing elise always remember your role, you are an assassin and you should play as one. Don't get greedy and help your team. The best way to win in solo queue is with team communitation.
- I don't like jungle elise, I don't know why would someone play her outside the lane when she has such a strong lane pottentail.
- I also don't understand AD elise, if you build like a ad bruiser you'll only play with 3 abilities instead of 6.
Thank you for taking time to read this guide, and hopefully you can take enough from it to aid you in your games.
