ITEM BUILD>
At the start of the game depending on your match up start either boots-of-speed and health-potion3 / amplifying-tome and health-potion. I normally start amplifying tome due the increased movement speed of the S3 patch.

Core Build: boots-of-speedliandrys-tormentrunaans-hurricane

With both of those items and boots (which you can decide to upgrade to berserkers-greaves or sorcerers-shoes) you will have your poison from toxic shot and blinding dart dealing the extra 5% in burn damage from liandrys-torment you will be dishing out so much damage over time on (max 3) opponents at a time with the passive from runaans-hurricane.

Next you are going to want to upgrade your boots twice (either berserkers-greaves/sorcerers-shoes) and get enchantment-homeguard. I'll explain why this is key later.

After those 3 items are complete you can really pick what you want for yourself...

If you want some vampirism and the percentage bonus rush blade-of-the-ruined-king
I know it is an ad item in this ap on hit build but, trust me the vamp and on hit is worth it for sure.

If you want to completely murder someone at anytime buy deathfire-grasp
With an additional 100 ap and the 15% CDR you are already strong enough. But, with active of this item you will be able to melt any champion at this point. Especially if you are invisible and you initiate with deathfire-grasp they will be death within 3 or 4 seconds.

If you want to shroom more go for nashors-tooth
Now I have a feeling that some of you have written off my build because I even suggested this item but, hear me out. The 65 ap is good and so is the bonus attack speed. The real reason I buy this item is for the 25% CDR. It makes the shrooming process much easier (i.e. preventing your lane from being ganked blocking the opponent from baron or just all over the map). With the CD reduced by 25% it is much easier to handle placing all of them.

If you just want straight damage and op shrooms get rabadons-deathcap
Everyone should know that with the deathcap your ap will increase greatly and you will have..... you know what I think you get the picture by now.

If the other team is stacking magic resist this go ahead and get a void-staff.
With the 35% magic pen. you will be able to ignore most if not all of their mr. Which if you remember you already should have about 40 straight magic pen. after you knock off the 35% with void-staff.

Other viable items

AP

rylais-crystal-scepter - for tankiness and damage

lich-bane - with all of your ap the proc on lich bane will just... just... do obscene amounts of damage


ON-HIT

malady - pretty good early game item

the-black-cleaver - very good with its armor shredding capabilities

statikk-shiv - not a bad item but, not great with this build, unless you are building straight on hit

Introduction
I would just like to say that this is going to be an on going guide, not just a build, but a comprehensive guide. The guide as you see it now is not fully complete. I wanted to make sure that I got the build out rather fast and the play styles will be added later.
Early Game
With Teemo you have some choices as to where you are going to play. You can either go top, mid, or bot carry. Play wherever you are needed, the build will work fine anywhere on the map.

Bold Bottom Lane Teemo
***ONLY DO THIS IF YOU CAN SECURE A KILL, THE LACK OF SUSTAIN CAN MESS UP FOR LANING PHASE***
Not the best place to start but, if you happen to be going bot carry you need to try this tactic. When you spawn quickly buy your [items/amplifying-tome.png] and [items/health-potion.png]. run to bottom lane and upgrade [skills/teemo/e.png] on the way. Go and quickly check both bottom bushes and if neither enemy is present back up to about even with the river bush and the top of the first bottom bush (because your lane will be pushed without you attacking). Now pitch your tent and camp it out with [skills/teemo/p.png]. have your support engage when the lane is pushed up to your tower and you both are level 2 (at this point you should have your [skills/teemo/q.png]). AS SOON AS THE SUPPORT ENGAGES COME OUT FIRING. Start with [skills/teemo/q.png] and with the enemy pushed up so far their only hope is if the jungler is waiting in the river bush to gank. Otherwise, you just got yourself a quick kill or two.

Otherwise trying this tactic will fail you on every other lane (due to your lack of [summoners/ignite.png] mainly).

Top Lane

Knowing what to buy is key in winning your top lane match-up

Buy [items/boots-of-speed.png][items/health-potion3.png] if you are top against champions like:
[champ/wukong.png][champ/yorick.png][champ/zed.png][champ/singed.png][champ/riven.png][champ/jayce.png][champ/garen.png]
they have gap closing ability or they are too tanky for [items/amplifying-tome.png] to make a difference. You will also need the [items/health-potion3.png] against these champions.

Buy [items/amplifying-tome.png][items/health-potion.png] if you are top against champions like:
[champ/olaf.png][champ/shyvana.png][champ/shen.png][champ/rumble.png][champ/nidalee.png][champ/malphite.png][champ/jarvaniv.png][champ/fiora.png]
they have either less trading ability or you can hit them and keep your distance better than them.

As teemo you are very squishy and pre-level 6 susceptible to ganks. Just farm your lane and if they get in range harass with [skills/teemo/q.png].
Mid Game
This is where you will thrive.

By this point in time you should have your core
[items/boots-of-speed.png][items/liandrys-torment.png][items/runaans-hurricane.png]

Constantly place [skills/teemo/r.png] in (at first but, then in major pathways) bushes because your [skills/teemo/r.png] and your [skills/teemo/q.png] proc the passive on [items/liandrys-torment.png]. With the added 5% burn damage you will be chunking off damage with just one hit. Also, an added bonus of this build in mid game is that... TEEMO IS VIABLE IN TEAMFIGHTS!!! The unique passive on [items/runaans-hurricane.png] will allow you to do some, not a ton, damage to 2 surrounding enemies while you burst down one.

I will soon post a picture of the ideal spots to place your [skills/teemo/r.png], but for now please take my advice and after laning phase, if you are not hiding [skills/teemo/r.png] in the enemy jungle, don't put your [skills/teemo/r.png] in highly trafficked bushes. If the other team has any awareness at all your [skills/teemo/r.png] will become useless. So, for now just place them in major intersections but, not in highly trafficked bushes in lanes.

As teemo, forget about what your sub-conscience says, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO WARD BARON AND DRAGON WITH [skills/teemo/r.png]. I mean if you don't do this you are just not a team player and stupid. They are free wards that can get you kills HOW COULD IT GET ANY BETTER?
Late Game
It's GG by this point, when you have 1 or 2 more of my suggested items, that synergize with each other and your core (i.e. ap with ap or on hit with on hit) you will be unstoppable. If you see their carry all alone... please kill them, you are stronger than them and even if you aren't your on hit effects and poison will make sure that you both die at the least. But, as far as teamfights have [skills/teemo/r.png] to fall back on if your team needs to gain an advantage but, other than that, sit relatively close to the back and keep up the fire while your tanks take the damage. You may be strong but you are still very squishy, no matter which items you used from my build. You will be bursted down easily, so play it relatively safe (i.e. just be smart about when you go in, we are all smart enough to know that).

And always [skills/teemo/r.png] dragon and baron.
Teleport + Homeguard + Shrooms = Instakills
I normally wait until mid or late game to get this because it is a good strategy but, not always as good as getting that next ap item.

With [summoners/teleport.png] and [items/enchantment-homeguard.png] you will be able to [summoners/teleport.png] to any ward or [skills/teemo/r.png] on the map with a great movement speed boost. So, if you happen to see an enemy with low enough health to kill or your team is collapsing on someone and you are just not there, TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS.
