I would love to hear what you have to say about my build, any changes you would make, or any questions you might have. So please feel free to leave a comment. Especially if you don't like the build. It's kind of pointless to dislike something and not explain why. How else can you expect someone to change their mind?
Masteries
I run 21/6/3 Masteries.

Offense

Summoner's Wrath: We're running either [summoners/exhaust.png] or [summoners/ignite.png] so this is helpful. Using [summoners/exhaust.png] on someone will now lower their armour and magic resist by 10. If you go [summoners/ignite.png] it will increase your AP and AD while [summoners/ignite.png] is on cd.

Fury: Extra 3% attack speed. Helps with the sustain you'll get from [items/the-bloodthirster.png].

Deadliness: Extra 12 AD at level 18. Every little bit helps.

Havoc: Increases all damage by 2%.

Weapon Expertise: 8% true damage on all AD.

Lethality: 5% critical damage when in cannon form, 10% when in melee form.

Brute Force: Extra 3 AD.

Frenzy: Extra 10% Attack Speed after landing a critical hit.

Sunder: Extra 5 armour pen. So, more damage.

Executioner: Extra 5% damage to targets below 50% hp. Makes it easier to finish of targets.

Defense

Durability: Extra 108 hp at level 18. More health, more survivability.
Hardiness: You'll most likely be toplane so this gives an extra 3.5 armour. Not much, but it helps.

Utility

Meditation: Jayce is fairly mana hungry so that 3 mana per 5 seconds is helpful.

Armour Pen Marks for the damages. If you reduce the amount of armour they have, you do more damage. That's just logic.

Armour Yellows because you're a bruiser and need to peel for your adc/help disengage.

Magic Resist Blue's to survive APC burst.

I run Movement Speed Quints because it helps me to engage or save my adc. Attack Damage Quints would also suffice.

Summoner Spells

Explanation:

[summoners/exhaust.png] is useful for goomba stomping squishies or removing tanks from fights. [summoners/flash.png] is pretty much a no brainer.

Other acceptable alternatives would be [summoners/teleport.png][summoners/ghost.png][summoners/ignite.png]

If you're duo-queued/your team doesn't seem too retarded, run [summoners/teleport.png] for practically guaranteed kills.
Item Builds
So I've been mucking around with a few different builds and at the moment, this seems to be what works

Purchase order depends on how you're doing in lane/who you're laning against but generally this is the order I buy things.

Build [items/last-whisper.png] over [items/the-black-cleaver.png]. [items/last-whisper.png] gives a flat 35% armour pen whereas [items/the-black-cleaver.png] only gives 25% armour pen after building 5 stacks (which are target dependant). I always find it interesting watching pro's building [items/last-whisper.png] and [items/the-black-cleaver.png] because they're wasting gold. The whole point of [items/last-whisper.png][items/the-black-cleaver.png] is the armour pen which is capped at 40%. By buying both items you're wasting gold that could be better spent on something that's actually useful.

I love sustain lanes. By doing this I can poke more and not worry too much about running out of mana.

Skill Order
I used to max [skills/jayce/e.png] over [skills/jayce/q.png] because it does damage based on a percentage of your opponents maximum health. That works great against really tanky champions but isn't so great early game. As I am now playing more of a sustain early game it's better to max [skills/jayce/q.png] first as it does more consistent damage.

[skills/jayce/w.png] is purely used for mana regen in hammer form or quick burst damage.

[skills/jayce/e.png] is maxed second because percent health damage is still important.

[skills/jayce/r.png] and as usual, the ult is maxed first.
Skill Combinations
Enemy has pushed to your tower? No problem. [skills/jayce/e.png] in cannon form, quickly change back to hammer form, run through your gate and then use [skills/jayce/e.png] to smack them into your turret. As they're fleeing swap back to cannon form, use [skills/jayce/w.png] to get your attack speed steroid, fire your three shots and then swap back to hammer form. Then [skills/jayce/q.png]+[skills/jayce/w.png] onto them and [skills/jayce/e.png] them away if they go to turn onto you (especially useful for [champ/singed.png]).
