Introduction
Nidalee is and always has been a great champion and thanks to some of the new items and masteries that came with season 3 she has sprung back to life. i have been playing her alot since the season started and i have found what i believe to be a great hybrid build, but it is still in the making so over the next few weeks i might change it a little, but over all i think it is pretty good and i hope that by reading this build you'll come to agree with me and fall for her like i didBase Stats:
Health Points: 370 (+90 / per level) Health Regen: 5
Mana Points: 220 (+45 / per level) Mana Regen: 30
Damage: 49 (+3.5 / per level) Attack Speed: 0.672 (+3.22 / per level)
Attack Range: 525 Movement Speed: 310
Armor: 11 (+3.5 / per level) Magic Resistance: 30 (+0.75 / per level)
Pros:
Long range
Great mobility
Good heal
Attack speed buff
Great burst
scales great
Cons:
Squishy pre level 6
low AD early on
weak early game
Hard to master
Masteries
I run 21/9/0 masteries i take the armor pen and magic pen. and spellsword wich i belive is the most important mastery you can have for this build as it works so well with muramana. i take the armor for a little extra def and then the extra health for over all tankyness.
Runes
I run flat attack damage marks and quintessences to make the basic attack as deadly as i can, the reason for this is that you start by leveling up your heal/attack speed buff and therefore start to deal some good AD dmg, this helps alot with last hitting and poking in lane. Flat armor seals and scaling Magic Resist Glyphs for obvious extra def.
i used to run movement speed quintessences but i thought she was already fast enough if you know how to use her passive right so i switched them over to AD
Summoner Spells
![summoners/flash.png [summoners/flash.png]](guide/summoners/flash.png)
![summoners/ignite.png [summoners/ignite.png]](guide/summoners/ignite.png)
Explanation:
your choice really i prefer flash/ignite. but just take what ever you find working for you.
Skills
Passive: ProwlExplanation:
this passive is what makes great Nidalee players, uses this as much as you can in game, for poking on lane or for moving across the map or just what ever you can think of always try to use the brushes.
Q: Javelin Toss / TakedownExplanation:
The spear is of course Nidalees trademark and has massive AP ratio dmg depending on how far it is thrown, learning how to throw a good spear is all that matters for an AP Nid and there for is very important for hybrids as well.
Takedown is a great finishing move dealing increased dmg depending on how much HP the enemy is missing. try to always finish with it.
W: Bushwhack / PounceExplanation:
Bushwhack is great for protecting your lane i recommend taking Bushwhack at level 1 and use it to secure you lane when you don't have a ward in the first few minutes, after that buy a ward always buy a ward. Bushwhack can also tear through enemy armor and Magic resist but it can be tricky to get it on the right target.
Pounce is very important in this build, aside from the fact that this gives Nid great mobility and impressive speed, it also lets you stack up Tear of the goddess faster than any champ in the game (since you don't have to spend any mana in cat form you can do it forever) and it also stacks up the passive from guinsoo's rageblade and keeps it up the entire time your in the field.
E: Primal Surge / SwipeExplanation:
Primal Surge is the main ability you level up on a hybrid Nid it heals you a good amount and gets better as the game goes on as you get more AP and enough mana to spam it forever. but the main reason for why i level this up first is to get the bonus attack speed that you get with the heal, that buff + the runes = a good amount of AD dmg.
Swipe is a good source of AoE dmg to farm minions and to couse havoc in team battles
R: Aspect Of The CougarExplanation:
the really speaks for it self, Aspect Of The Cougar allows Nid to turn into a cougar and get bonus armor and Magic resist, bonus movement speed and a new set of mana cost free abilities
Skill Order
as i said before take Primal Surge(E) first for the heal and attack speed then level up the spear (Q) for dmg and then the bushwhack/Pounce(W) for mobility / vision, and of course always take Aspect Of The Cougar (R) when available. you can level up the spear(Q) first if you want to go all out dmg but i recommend the heal / attack speed.
Item Builds
still working on this one
Early Game
i have been focusing on playing her solotop so i will explain the guide from that point of view.In early game i usually take (W) first so that i can lay traps in the river bush and the tribush therefore getting lane securite.
during early game i focus on making every last hit and poking the enemy as much as i can using the brushes and Nidalee's passive.
do not try to fight in all out 1 vs 1 fight early on, Nidalee is very weak in early engages, pre level 6. when she gets cat form you can start fighting for real, but with Nidalee i recommend using caution when going all in early on.
When backing ALWAYS buy wards, wards win lanes.
Mid Game
In mid game Nidalee starts to shine. by now you should have:
and
and should be on a good roll in stacking up tear of the goddess (max it as quickly as possible with the "W" in cougar from to get
)in mid game you should always try to snipe enemies down with pokes and spears from a distance and then close in when you feel confident you can burst him down
make sure you always have wards up preferable in the tribrush and at baron if that is to much then at least always have 1 ward up at a time, its a very good rule.
Late Game
In late game Nidalee has it all, and shes good at every thing if you follow my buildFavorite build Now:

you have Great long range poke and great speed, can brake down towers very fast and buff/heal the team with great attack speed, do alot of dmg and slows every one in teamfights, can provide vision with her (W)
can heal every one forever! and throw spears that hurt alot.
when you have learned how to correctly use her ultimate and know when to be the beauty and when to be the beast then you should be pretty unstoppable with the right team mates by your side.
Team Fights
in team fights try to start of from a distance if your not fed, poking them down with auto attacks and spears and only go in for the kill when you have gotten to level 6 and have the cougar form. always evaluate the surroundings when thinking of going in for the kill in cougar form.in mid and late game you should be able to help your team a great deal before and after a team fight by healing your team mates and spearing the enemy's,
you should also try to help your team by giving them visual either by running in cat form in bushes a little bit ahead or using wards (never stop buying wards they matter alot) or your (W)
![skills/nidalee/w.png [skills/nidalee/w.png]](guide/skills/nidalee/w.png)
your (W) can also be used in team fights to destroy your enemies armor and magic resist, don't forget that.
