Katarina is and always will be a glass cannon. With Katarina you will always be "squishy" even if you build defensive items so in my opinion it is a complete waste and you should just focus on putting out as much damage as possible. So basically the Katarina play style is kill them before they kill you.

These masteries are what i currently use with kat because her AD ratios got nerfed into the ground. Basically i had 30 in offense before because the ad actually scaled decently, but now it is better to put some in defense so you can have successful trades or remain in lane longer. The one point in utility is great if you are running teleport flash, But do not put a point there if you are not using flash teleport.

If you take exhaust and ignite on kat you will usually land a kill early in mid lane.



Two other great choices, I tend to take teleport on Katarina so i can either gank another lane quickly and snowball through the game or return to my lane quickly after buying. In the end if you can play well enough the global presence can be devastating to the enemy team.

This gives you insane cleanup potential.

All of the damage in the game and then some... Ok basically use this when somebody is at half health and they are dead. As you play Katarina you will begin to learn when it is a good time to use her ultimate and when you should not use her ultimate.

I don't have much to say here besides Max your first for an aggressive lane or max your for a farm lane.

I enjoy playing Katarina for the massive ammounts of damage that Katarina puts out. When playing Katarina just watch out for any form of cc, and if you see their team use their cc it is usually a good time to use your ultimate.
