My guide will describe what to do and when to do things and why. Pay good attention to it and you will be playing Nidalee Midalee as good as me. i also will describe how to lane in certain ways, when to be aggressive and when not to be, what runes to use and why, what masteries that are best for nidalee, what to build in diffrent types of situations.

Use the runes that are displayed, they are for the extra magic pen you really need for your spears to deal the most amount of damage early and late game without actually building magic penetration items that are a bit of a waste on Nidalee with these runes. The Ap per levels are really useful on Nidalee because she scales really well. You do not need armor or magic resist for two reasons, one, her cougar form grants her both armor and magic resist and use my build for that anyways but, two, her heal is a really short cool down and with the Ap per levels it will be way more effective. Two flat ap quints is enough early game Ap to do what you need to do.

For the Summoner Spells i recommend that you use flash and ignite for mobility and for the damage you might need to go all in for to get out of sticky situations.

I think all the ability power masteries in the offense tree is best on Nidalee to achieve her maximum damage output along with mana and buff duration in the utility tree for always nice mana regeneration and mana per levels, the buff duration masteries is really good for Nidalee seeing as how she should get blue buff whenever possible. feel free to change up your masteries to whatever you think is best for you.

I recommend that you use the recommended build because of the fact that if gives really good Ap and it is the right amount of sustain or resistances you will need through out the game. Spirit visage is a really good item to out heal ignite or to just heal more to stay in the fight longer. Zhonyas is a really good item to use if ignite or marked with something because of the invulnerability. You could go more into defense and get either a Guardian Angel or a Frozen Heart but i think we should leave those items in the Ad Nidalee guide.

Get traps first to set a few around the river and the enemies jungle, be careful not to get caught. Stay cautious from ganks early because Nidalee Doesn't really have any way to escape from ganks and you don't want to use flash. Farm up and get level 6 as fast as possible. When you get level 6, start poking in and out of cougar form and with spears, if your opponent runs over a trap make sure to use that advantage and harass them. To farm with cougar form use pounce (w) on the back line and then use swipe (e). When you poke, use your full combo in cougar and jump out of cougar to throw a spear and they should be severely damaged. Make sure to always lay traps everywhere for maximum map awareness. Blue buff is your best friend. Use bushes to escape from ganks or for when you get caught setting traps in the enemies jungle because her passive grants movement speed when in bushes.

What you want to do is poke until you can push up to the tower and try to do as much damage as you can to it and eventually take it down allowing you to roam easier. Roaming as Nidalee is very good for your team because she has a lot of mobility and long range poke. Getting kills from roaming will make it easier to win the game. Catching your lanning opponent off guard, say he or she is coming back to mid lane from top or bottom, put a trap in a bush that they would walk through and throw a spear at them when they step on the trap because of the magic resist debuff it gives and burst them down with cougar form ( e w q ), and would be a sure kill. Also placing traps where your lanning opponent would go to gank either bot lane or top lane to alert your allies that they are coming is really effective.

Late game be sure to harass the enemy champions with your ridiculous range and damage on your spears, and you should always stay away from bruisers unless you have teammates to back you up, otherwise hit their ADC with a spear and pounce on them with cougar form to execute them. If you are getting chased from the enemy team, jump into and out of cougar form to gain distance and to heal or throw spears because of really short cool downs. Always take advantage of your heal, always heal either you or your teammates, your heal is really strong and provides a really strong attack speed buff. Try and take the enemy buffs with your traps for vision and spears for the damage to kill it with. Nidalee is really effective when you use bushes to get speed to either catch up to somebody or to run away from somebody because for her passive. Use bushes to gain distance for fights that you have not prepared for.

Be sure to throw spear after spear. What i think is best and what works best for me is, throw a spear hitting them, going into cougar form and burst them down but make sure to use your q last in the cougar form last because of the damage increased if they are lower health. Bruisers will try and focus you but with your great mobility you should be fine with your heal also. Heal Anyone when you can it is a really short cool down. Laying traps before team fights will be really useful because you will be able to see the enemy for 12 seconds along with a short area around them, good for hitting spears, TONS OF DAMAGE. Nidalee is really effective when you use bushes to get speed to either catch up to somebody or to run away from somebody because for her passive. Use bushes to gain distance for fights that you have not prepared for.

Nidalee is a really fun champion and i hope you have fun with her, that is all there is really to explain about Nidalee. I got really good at Nidalee the more i played her, if you cannot really land skill shots, then i recommend that you practice aiming them, it really helps since her spears are her main damage.
