IntroductionS3 introduced plenty of new toys for AD carries to play around with, going to briefly break down these items and situations where you'd want to buy them.
Update: BLADE OF THE GOD KINGis going to get nerfed soon because is really OP on just about every single AD champion in the game, which happens to include AD carries. buff traded 15AD for 5% lifesteal and 40% atk speed, which put the cost effectiveness of off the charts.
So pretty much buy before it gets nerfed if you want to win. It's essentially the best first item on all AD carries right now.
+ADS3 made FLAT AD items much stronger!!! Consider buying them before boots!
: B.F sword is still king. You want this badboy as soon as you humanly can. Going back to lane with a B.F sword compared to Vamp and half completed Zerks is a no brainer.
: Surprisingly good buy, flat AD is just insanely strong right now, if you can't afford a B.F, pick up a pickaxe on your first trip back.
: Makes into vamp, but you're paying a lot for the lifesteal now. Theres nothing wrong with sitting on a long sword.
Mobility: Still pretty king for AD carries, but ONLY buy it when you absolutely need the move speed, good vs Singed or any bruiser with ghost.
: Good item if enemy have a lot of continuous CC. Nasus/Taric/Leona/Ryze.. etc
- is important before end-game fights, esp if you're playing an AD without escape.
- Great for defending your base. also pressures the map, in a sense it's a GP5.
: Pretty much better than Greaves, go Zeal first if you're going to be laning for a long time.
: Only weakness is the fact you need to buy it before the 10% movespeed kicks in. End game sell your boots for this whole!
PD vs Shiv
: Better late-game single target damage
: Better early/mid-game. Also allows for splitpush utility.
Sustain: Incredible opener that's extremely cost effective. 5 Hp/hit = 5% lifesteal if you're hitting for 100.
: 800G is a huge sink, only get it if you absolutely need sustain to survive in lane. Otherwise just sit on the Long sword.
Core: Still that mid-lategame item vs armor.
: Best single target DMG in the game.
: Warmogs almost always better. Unless they have enough burst to go through even Warmogs.
: Not so optiomal now after nerfs. Also consider sitting on just a .
: Incredibly costly end-game item vs specific CC. (Suppression, Amumu ult.. etc)
: Due to cost reductions, a fine defensive choice vs Malphite/Blitz.. etc.
: Decent option on Graves.
Utility: Great on MF/Corki, builds off Brut which is extremely strong early-game. The lul between Brut and cleaver is pretty lame though.
: Is good again now that it costs 3900. I need to test more Trinity on Corki. Phage still costs a ton, but is strong if you grab it. I can see double dorans/Phage into Trinity Cleaver being pretty damn strong on Corki.
: Bad. Item. Only useful vs pure tank team that cannot get to you.
: Fun on Twitch and Vayne, but outclassed by PD in the lategame.
ConclusionI realize this is a brief guide. But the point is to get you thinking more about item builds rather than copying standardized ones. Remember that huge items such as Trinity is more than just that, each component and the timing you buy them is significant. Item builds is not the 6 items you will end up with, but also the order you buy each of the dozens of components.
