IntroductionHello, this is my first guide on Solomid. My name is Revitalizer. I obviously play top and wanted to highlight AP Thresh top. So why go AP Thresh instead of his tag "support"? Well...
-1-1 AP ratio on his ult
-Easy to miss Q or hit a minion
-E is awkward at first
MasteriesThese masteries give you the tankiness and the AP damage that you need in order to do well up top.
RunesSince he has no scaling Ability power, these will help you scale better into late game. The flat AP quints are nice because it helps early game. You could try to go health quints as well.
These are pretty standard.
Ignite for killing
Exhaust for some epic slows. COMBO: E towards yourself --> Ult ---> Exhaust watch them squirm!
This is extremely powerful especially going into late game. Your auto attacks alone will do a ton of damage with the Q passive and your AP. This is also critical for scaling and getting buff.
Q: Death Sentence
This is extremely useful for multiple reasons. You can either pull opponents in if your jungler is ganking or go to them to do extreme damgage,
W: Dark Passage
This is an incredible utility allowing you and your team to survive fights. It will also grant vision if you are unsure of the enemy jungler's whereabouts.
With your massive amounts of AP, this does a lot of damage and slows them. Use this ability to push people off of you and your ADC our pull people trying to flee your damage.
R: The Box
1-1 AP ratio makes this ult do massive damage. Fully leveled it does 550 base and 100% of your AP. Plus the 99% slow makes this ultimate a great get away tool and a great killing machine.
As AP Thresh, your ult does the most damage followed by your E and Q. The E and Q are almost the same amount of damage but Q has a longer cool down which is why I max E first.
W is good for protection and vision but it should not be the first skill maxed seeing as it does no damage to enemy champs.
Final CommentsI hope you all enjoy AP Thresh, he is truly powerful. Anyone that plays top will be able to learn him quick and dominate with him. I hope you enjoyed my first ever Solomid Guide.
Best of wishes!
