Introduction
Hi everyone. I know, Yi is called as a noob champion and is not viable in High ELO games, but he can be sometimes perfect for a team. He can jungle without problems with these runes and masteries.


Masteries
Yi is know as the fastest DPS in the game due his ultimate and for your massive critical strikes, roflstomping a whole team if played correctly.

For masteries I choose 19 on Attack because I need the Lethality level 3 masterie(Increase your Champion's critical srike by 10%) and I go 11 on Defense to grab the Utility Masterie giving 30% more time with buffs.
My runes give me 21% more Attack speed, 10 Armor penetration(is what I need against monsters to jungle) and 13 armor, enough for jungle combined with more 18 armor from cloth-armor.

This is the best rune combination for jungle Yi in my opinnion, he starts the game with about 0,850 attack speed, so fast.
Summoner Spells

Explanation:


Smite is MANDATORY in every jungler in the game because first of all it will help you jungle fast and safe. But the best usage of smite is for make sure your team will kill red and blue buffs and dragon and baron, always last hitting with smite. It gives TRUE damage so you can be sure how the exact momment to use the spell.

Flash is also the best option for Yi. You can kill who you want with flash + ultimate + Yomuu's-Ghostblade active and do the contrary aswell. If you are split pushing just use your ultimate or the ghostblade active, if this is not enough just flash away to run from a possible 1v5 gank.
Skills
[skills/masteryi/p.png] Passive: Double Strike

Master Yi strikes twice every 7th attack.

Explanation:


Great passive because Yi in the last game attack very, very fast and this passive will work in about every 4-5 seconds when attacking. It gives you double damage at the 7th attack. Try to start figh or ganks when you are about your 5 or 6 hit, then you gank with Q and then roflstomp your enemie with the passive in low levels. It will hurt ALOT!


[skills/masteryi/q.png] Q: Alpha Strike

Master Yi leaps across the battlefield striking up to 4 enemies, dealing 100 / 150 / 200 / 250 / 300 (+100% of ability power) magic damage to each enemy with a 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 60% chance to deal 400 bonus magic damage to minions.

Cooldown 18 / 16 / 14 / 12 / 10 seconds
Cost 80 / 90 / 100 / 110 / 120 mana
Range 600


Explanation:



This is Yi's gap closer. This Skill got a long range, then you can get close ur enemies usingit, plus deal a good damage. For jungle this Skill is extremelly good since it will deal 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 / 60% chance to deal 400 bonus magic damage to minions, making your jungle very easy.

Master Yi channels, restoring 140 / 280 / 420 / 560 / 700 (+165% of ability power) health over 5 seconds. While channeling, Master Yi gains 100 / 150 / 200 / 250 / 300 armor and magic resistance.

Cost 70 / 85 / 100 / 115 / 130 mana


Explanation:



Useless for jungle Yi because he only will use this skill at high levels. In late game can be usefull sometimes for chase your enemies and then knock them down.


[skills/masteryi/e.png] E: Wuju Style

Passive: Increases physical damage by 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35.

Active: Master Yi can activate this ability to double its effectiveness for 10 seconds, but this removes the passive bonus until Wuju Style becomes available again.

Explanation:


An AD assassin with boost 70 damage, it's almost an Infinity Edge! GREAT Skill for Yi which will allow him to be VERY strong. Always use it for almost everything. It's Yi core skill.

Increases Master Yi's movement speed by 40% and Attack Speed by 40 / 60 / 80%, and he becomes immune to all slowing effects for 6 / 9 / 12 seconds. Additionally, killing a champion refreshes all of Master Yi's cooldowns. (Assists reduce half of the base cooldown amount.)

Explanation:


Oh, here I come. Simply the DEVESTATION. This ultimate makes Yi a real carry. 40 mov speed and 80 attack speed are ridiculous strong. Just imagina it with more 20 mov speed and more 50 attack speed from Yomuus-Ghostblade active. This makes Yi the fastest champion and the fastest attack speed in the game! You can do a penta kill in level 18 in about 10-15 seconds, just lol.

This skill requires lots of positioning and the perfect time to turn it on. Once you kill someone, ALL your skills are refreshed for instant use again, EVEN the ultimate. That's why Yi is called the king of penta kills.

Only stuns and snares can hold you. You can't be slowed, so be carefull to chase Morgana, Sion, Taric, Lux, Ryse, Annie, brand and some other champs. Wait them use their stun skills then come from backdoor and roflstomp their whole team.





Early Game
I always start on Little golems with Wuju Style. Tell to one teammate pull, finish the first golem and then smite the second. At level 2, with Alpha Strike you go to Wraiths. Use Q on them, activate your E and finish them. After this use Q in the wolbes and finish them. Go to blue, use Q + E and smite. You have blue with 1-2 HP pots remaining. Check top and mid. If is impossible to gank, go to enemy jungle. Their jungler will be at their Red or little golems. I almost always fing their junglers there and get forst blood.

Recall back and buy Madreds Razors. Go to jungle again, get RED, wraiths and little golems and check for ganks on mid and in bot lane.

Continue jungling until you got Wriggles and boots level 1. At this point the principal thing is the Dragon. Use the ward from wriggles and ward the dragon and protect dragon from the other team.
Mid Game
In the mid game, with ultimate and Yomuu's Ghostblade, Yi become pretty strong, ganking alot. At this point he is the fastest DPS in the game and will be focused in every team fight, so care.

At this point I use to counter jungle alot because my ulti and my ghostblade give me speed enough to evade the enemies. The team fights will start to appear. you will start to backdooring. Never join in a fight when it's in the bagin. Let the enemies use their ultimates and don't worry id osme teamates die in the begin of the fight. This is the Yi style. When the other team thinks they won the fight, Yi comes and do a double or triple kill.

You will start to split push too. Your team is probably defendind or attacking an enemy tower, but you use it to push their turrets down. Yi is by far the best pusher in the game and his role is basically 2: Split pushing and back door. You will destroy some turrets and kill alot at this point.
Late Game
In the late game, Yi is a monsterball. Late game Yi is feared for everyone. continue abusing split push and back door, never stop to do these things. Good Yi's are ALWAYS pushing, ALWAYS. Don't be afraid to do this, you have flash, ultimate and YG active to save you. In the late game the fight for the baron buff will be the most important thing in the game. At this point, with warmogs, you'll have about 3300 HP, so you are tanky now, they will struggle to kill you. Do the same again, split push + back door and never, EVER join in a fight in the begin. wait all stuns, snares and exhausts be used, then junp in the fight. You will be the carry.
Item Builds
wriggles-lantern No need an explanation. Good damage, good armor and awesome lifesteal. This item is required for every AD melee jungler.
mercurys-treads 35 tenacity save you in most cases and 25 magic resist is always good. The best boots option imo.
youmuus-ghostbladeThis is the core. Every Yi need this item. Great passive, attack damage, armor penetration, this is all Yi need.
phantom-dancerVery important item. Give so many movement speed, great attack speed and great critical strike chance.
warmogs-armor In my opinnion Yi is too weak without this item. This makes him a tanky DPS and enable to chase alone champs like nocturne and GP.
atmas-impalerwarmogs/atmas combo, no more to say. GREAT.
starks-fervor I sell my wriggles to buy starks. Why? Because this item gives to me 20% lifesteal (2 more than wriggles) 40% attack speed, 20% for my team, some health regen and debuff enemies armor. It's a fucking great item.

    I personally like alpha strike at level 1 because the chance to proc the 400 bonus damage could mean the difference in counter jungling. It could mean stealing the enemies wraiths at lvl 1 with quickly and with ease.
