At TSM, inclusivity is important - not just once a year, but every day. We are thrilled to kick off our year-round initiative supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. In honor of Pride Month, TSM is making a $5,000 donation to AnyKey.org, non-profit organization that advocates for diversity, inclusion, and equity in gaming and streaming. Read on for a breakdown of everything TSM and TSMU are doing this year for Pride!
Just like last year, we are giving everyone these downloadable assets that you can use to spread awareness and help us show your support for the LGBTQIA+ community. Promoting inclusivity and taking a stand is something that is bigger than all of us. Everyone has a part to play - and even the smallest acts can make a difference.
The TSMU Pride Initiative is our year-round program supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. Below, you’ll find the beginning pieces of our Pride program! This is the foundation of work we will be expanding on throughout the year. Over time, we will add more and more offerings to better show our support and provide more resources to our valued community.
We will be launching the Visibility Series, a series of panels and Q&A’s with LGBTQIA+ members and experts in the esports and gaming industry, sharing their stories and background on how they got involved in our industry. The series will feature one panel or Q&A every month, and will take place in the TSMU Discord.
The focus of the Visibility Series is to show those aspiring to engage and work in esports that no matter who you are or how you identify, you will have opportunities to be a part of this industry. Through this series, we hope to bring more visibility and representation to the community, and help inspire, change, and grow the future of the esports and gaming industry.
Our first Visibility Series panel takes place on June 24th in the TSMU Discord.
TSM is committed to creating an open, accepting, and inclusive space. Because of that, we will be encouraging all users at TSMU to take the AnyKey GLHF pledge. Taking the AnyKey GLHF will also be a requirement to compete in any of our upcoming tournaments. This is to ensure that our events represent our goal of creating open spaces. In addition, we will also encourage any of our upcoming TSMU Partner Program participants to have, at the very least, their leadership/officers sign the pledge as well. More info on this Partner Program to be announced later!
More to come in the future!
Everything outlined above is just the start! We want to make sure TSMU Pride grows all year long. If you don’t want to miss out on any of these events, make sure to follow the TSMU Twitter and join the Discord!
