TSM’s newest VALORANT team debuts today

LOS ANGELES, CA – (March 16, 2021) - TSM, the premier championship e-sports organization, announced today North American VALORANT players Catherine “Cath” Leroux, Katherine “LunarKats” So, Emily “mle” Peters, Zoe “Zoe” Servais, and Mirna “Athxna” Noureldin will all compete in the upcoming VCT Game Changers series.

“This team represents the core values of TSM,” said Andy “Reginald” Dinh, founder and CEO of TSM. “We wanted the best players to build out our competitive VALORANT presence - and we found them. Cath is a veteran leader who has shown clear dominance in various matches since 2017. Athxna shows real prowess as an in-game leader, and with the raw skill that LunarKats, mle, and Zoe possess, I see huge potential for this team.”

“I'm beyond excited to join a well-established organization like TSM and bring my previous experience from CSGO into a fresh game like Valorant,” said Cath. “My competitive drive never left, and I'm looking forward to competing again under the TSM banner.”

Some of TSM’s high profile brand partners shared their thoughts about this exciting announcement as well.

“The number of female gamers continues to grow each year, reaching 41 percent in the U.S. in 2020*, and women are increasingly shaping gaming culture. We are thrilled to see our partner, TSM, embracing this growing demographic of gamers and esports enthusiasts by forming an all-woman Valorant team. At Lenovo, we believe esports should be inclusive and welcoming to all and are proud that TSM shares these values and is providing opportunities for female gamers,” said Matt Bereda, Vice President of Global Consumer Marketing for PCs and Smart Devices, Intelligent Devices Group, Lenovo.

“It is exciting to see the world of esports making thoughtful strides to advance diversity and inclusion. It's an ongoing journey and one that Logitech G is committed to," said Brent Barry, head of esports at Logitech G.  "Part of that commitment is for brands like us to fully support women and underrepresented genders in professional esports to showcase their talents and highlight the opportunities available to all esports players. We are proud to be on this path with TSM.”

“At Cadillac we are inspired by those that strive to break boundaries and are working to achieve equity and inclusion for all people,”  said Marcie Perez, Associate Director, Cadillac Media and Performance Marketing. “We are thrilled to support TSM in their aspirational journey to make the esports world more inclusive by assembling an all-female roster as part of the VCT Game Changers program and look forward to following their success.”
